Oscars 2015: Jenna Dewan-Tatum In Zuhair Murad

Who: Jenna Dewan-Tatum

Where: At the 87th Annual Academy Awards held at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, California

Wearing: A white Zuhair Murad couture gown from the spring/summer 2015 collection, featuring a wrap effect to the bodice and silver embellishments, teamed with Lorraine Schwartz jewels

Verdict: Wow, Jenna Dewan-Tatum takes home the plus 1 award for sure in this gorgeous, elegant gown. It was shown on the catwalk with a cape, which I loved and to be honest I would have loved to see on the red carpet. I think it would have been fun to see Jenna to go for a dramatic statement.

I love that it was a classy look, it really showed off her beauty, and her subtle sexy, and I really think her jewellery was one of my favourites of the night.

Just beautiful.

Haute Couture SS15: 10 Beautiful Wedding Gowns

Haute Couture SS15: 10 Beautiful Wedding Gowns

The beauty of Haute Couture is the glamour, the knowledge that the garments take hundreds of hours to produce, mostly by hand, nearly all bespoke, and always with no real budget in mind, it is why I love it so much as it is basically pure fantasy, and it’s the wedding gowns that inspire the most.

I think this has been one of the best Paris Haute Couture Week’s for a while, truly inspiring craftsmanship that really showcased the best in forward-thinking designs, and the bridal gowns were just exquisite. Elie Saab always inspires brides with his beaded beauties, but I’ve also included gorgeous, dramatic and sexy gowns by Zuhair Murad, Ralph & Russo, Versace, and a contemporary, quirky gown designed by Jean Paul Gaultier that if I had seen it before my own wedding I think I would have totally fallen in love with that tiered tulle skirt.

Golden Globes 2015: Jennifer Lopez In Zuhair Murad

Who: Jennifer Lopez

Where: At the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California

Wearing: A silver beaded Zuhair Murad gown with cape detailing, plunging neckline and thigh-high split from the autumn/winter 2014 couture collection, teamed with nude sandals and a matching Jimmy Choo tube clutch

Verdict: I have a huge girl crush on Jennifer Lopez and I thought she looked incredible at the Golden Globes. Jennifer always looks like a bombshell but she really did turn up the sexiness without looking like she was trying too hard, I am talking about you Kate Hudson.

Granted there wasn’t anything original about her look, it had a thigh high split to show off her legs, of course she went for a plunging neckline, and the gown most certainly showed off her incredible curvy figure. But there was also an elegance about this gown that made it perfect for award season and I think that was helped by the silver beading, exquisitely crafted, as well as the dramatic train.

Of course it wouldn’t be J-Lo without amazing hair and I don’t think she could have made it any bigger if she tried – I seriously loved her look from head-to-toe.

Doll Loving: A Blake Lively Barbie Doll…Well Sort Of

Barbie-Zuhair-Murad-

I have always thought that Blake Lively with her model looks and blonde hair would make a great Barbie doll, well it seems so did Mattel, in a round about way. My favourite doll is getting her latest designer makeover and this time it is red carpet favourite Lebanese fashion designer Zuhair Murad, who is known for being one of Jennifer Lopez’s go-to designers.

His work is always edgy, sexy and divine, and one of my favourite looks over the past few years has got to be when Blake Lively wore one of his creations to the ‘Savages’ premiere and channelled Old Hollywood glamour with a striking Art Deco-inspired black and blush mermaid couture gown.

Well it seems that was one of Barbie’s favourites as well as the dramatic striped geometric design has been made pint-size for her limited edition red carpet-ready look. I just wish they had finished off the look with Blake’s retro waves than the boring updo and this Barbie would have been perfection. But that is the tiniest of flaws – I need this collectable doll in my collection.

I wonder what Blake thinks of her mini-me.

Want one of these limited-edition dolls for yourself? The Zuhair Murad Barbie will set you back $75 – you might have to wait a while though as it is already on back order at barbiecollector.com.
