Seaside Style: Bank Holiday Day Trip To Felixstowe

Felixstowe my style 14 Seaside Style: Bank Holiday Day Trip To Felixstowe %tagWhat are Bank Holidays for if not a trip to the seaside, especially when it is sunny, and a chance to top up on ice-cream, candy floss, make sandcastles and play in the arcades. My boyfriend and I like a day trip, and living near Cambridge means we have a lot of gorgeous coastline in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, which isn’t that far away in the car.

Over the years we have done a lot of the beaches in Norfolk including Hunstanton and Cromer so this Bank Holiday we thought we would give Suffolk a try and head on over to Felixstowe, a seaside town we both hadn’t been to before.

Quieter than say Blackpool and Brighton, there is a charm about Felixstowe with its colourful beach huts, sea front gardens and miles of beach to stroll down while eating an ice cream. And in the sunshine this was such a great day for testing out my new Canon 650d camera and having my style snaps taken by some palm trees makes it look somewhere tropical and warm.

What did you do this Bank Holiday?

My Style: Feeling Blue But So In Love

OOTD Blue and in Love My Style: Feeling Blue But So In Love %tag

With the recent cold snap I feel like I have been wearing the same outfit, generally jeans, more often than not my biker boots, and nearly always a very warm jumper – today’s look isn’t that dissimilar to be honest but I decided to mix it up with a bright blue jacket I found hanging on the coat hooks by the door.

Don’t worry it is my jacket, just one that sadly has been forgotten about this winter, and I am not sure why as I love the colour and the fit. On a cold day like today it really did brighten my mood.

Today’s look is very blue – blue coat, jeans, sweater, scarf, Cambridge Satchel bag and even the gloves that my Mum knitted me – everything is a different shade of blue, well except for that red t-shirt peeking through underneath the sweater, my gold jewellery and black boots.

To balance out the blue feeling I decided to go for a soppy love vibe with my Zoe Karssen LOVE jumper that I picked up off The Outnet, I just love her printed slogans, I seem to be building a collection of her t-shirts, but this sweater is laid-back lux to perfection – super comfortable, so warm and totally me!!!

Finishing up my look are my cute new love heart initial bracelets and my love ring that I picked up at the Claire’s gifting suite at The Apartment during London Fashion Week.

Shopping: The Superheroes Edition

LazyOafBatman Shopping: The Superheroes Edition %tagBatman and Spider-Man have not only taken blockbuster success this summer at the cinema, but it seems that fashion has taken note and been inspired, as comic book and pop art-inspired pieces have started hitting the shops.

For me it all began with 3.1 Phillip Lim’s stunning pre-fall 2012 collection filled with graphic prints, including that incredible Break Up PVC pouch that has caught ever fashion editor’s attention. From there Lazy Oaf designed a batman collection, Zoe Karssen added some bat-appeal to her t-shirts, and even the king of fun jumpers Markus Lupfer added comic book lingo to his uber-cool signature sparkles, and it seems everyone has produced a cat ear headband in honour of our favourite female superhero/villian, Catwoman.

There are so many cool comic book pieces that it was hard to choose just 15, but I have brought you my favourites below:
