My Style: Day Two At London Fashion Week

Day two and I am already a little tired, yesterday was incredible I saw so many gorgeous collections and today was another early start and late finish.

I started with a Woolmark breakfast at the ME London, which is the new hotel opposite Somerset House that you might remember from my Warehouse press day post, it has the most incredible view that I couldn’t resist having my style piccies done there, and ended the day with Rihanna’s debut clothing collection for River Island.

With the long day, the feeling that I might be queuing a bit for Rihanna, in the end it was only 50 minutes late, and with the general running around, I went for my bright Nike trainers as they are super comfortable and work really well with a skater skirt.

As you know I like a statement t-shirt and a skater skirt and trainer combo deserves a good one and I have been saving my Zoe Karssen ‘Valley of the Dolls’ tee since I snapped it off The Outnet late last year. I kind of think this t-shirt was made for me, and like most people this fashion week monochrome looks have been all the rage, and I always think black and white works perfectly with bright pink accessories!!!

My Style: Black skater skirt, Topshop // ‘Valley of the Dolls’ t-shirt, Zoe Karssen from The Outnet // Barbie necklace, from eBay // Glasses, Karen Millen (c/o Specsavers) // Black and pink high-tops, Nike // Black and white knitted cardigan, Warehouse // Black, pink and gold bangles/bracelets, H&M // Pink neon bag, Cambridge Satchel Company //

Sadly I took my style piccies so early, like 9am, I didn’t have time to get my make-up professionally done, I did rectify that later on in the day when I popped by the Handpicked Media suite and the lovely Bourjois team did me the exactly catwalk look they did for Zoe Jordan’s show yesterday. I just love the subtle cat-flick on my eyes and the pink lips.

Snow, Snow, Snow: My Winter Wonderland

I love snow, I love wrapping up warm, and I love a winter wonderland postcard scene, so when the snow finally fell on my village today I couldn’t resist getting my new Superdry bobble hat on and heading out for a very chilly, but fun winter walk.

Is there anything more perfect than walking in the snow??? I love the crunch underfoot, the sliding and hoping I don’t fall over, and call me crazy but I also love the chill against my face. Granted I can see that the snow can be disruptive and makes commuting a pain – but come on it is so pretty!!!

So, what did you do in the snow today?

My Style: She Wolf…A-Ooh!!!

OOTD-wolfyIf I had to say what my favourite winter look was at the moment it would have to be a statement jumper, preferably with an animal on it, teamed with skinny jeans, biker boots and lashings of arm candy – super cosy, super comfortable, with added sparkle, that is perfect for combating the winter chill.

I have been wanting a wolf jumper for a while since I fell in love with a Markus Lupfer one, and then I spied this beauty in Warehouse and I couldn’t resist it. As well as being striking, I love the metallic eyes, I love the oversized fit of the jumper, which is perfect for laying over a t-shirt when it is cold, and it is super soft as well to enhance the cosy feel.

What is your favourite winter look at the moment?

After a wolf jumper? Well I have picked out a few of my favourites, and some of them are in the sale so pick them up quick!!!

Press Preview: Warehouse – Spring/Summer 2013

SS13_Warehouse_3I know I haven't been doing reviews of every press day, I will share some of my favourite pieces in a round-up blog, but I just had to show you what Warehouse have coming for spring/summer 2013 as I was blown away.

First up the location, the Warehouse press team always seem to get the venue so right, last season was an amazing gallery where they put on an exhibition, and this time round they went for the rooftop bar of the new, not even opened, ME London hotel. This place is incredible, sharp, crisp white and mirrored interior, a glass canopied rooftop that let's you see straight down into reception, and then there is the amazing view – you can see the everything from the London Eye to Tower Bridge and with it being opposite Somerset House you are so close to that you can nearly see people skating. I reckon this is going to be one hot location for fashion week.

SS13_Warehouse_Me_LondonSS13_Warehouse_5The setting was perfect for Warehouse's opulent and very high-end collection that had a gorgeous mixture of maxi dresses, sixties shifts, jumpsuits, prints, cute jackets, and lots and lots of monochrome and textured pieces.SS13_Warehouse_13SS13_Warehouse_11

My eyes were quickly drawn to all the structured monochrome styles, which had intricate zip detailing, gorgeous silhouettes and textured pieces full of fringing, lace touches, beaded embellishments and studs – there were a lot of pieces that I am going to want to invest in next season.
