Women In Suits: Anne Hathaway Rocks Viktor & Rolf

My love of masculine styling on women is growing, there is something about a tuxedo jacket paired with slim trousers and high heels that I love to see, especially on the red carpet. At the weekend Madonna wore a wide-leg Ralph Lauren tux to the Grammys, which was one of my best looks, and over the past few months we have seen everyone from Kim Basinger to Julianna Margulies really show how hot the look can be.

Well this week I added another actress to the long list of women in suits to my growing Pinterest board with the lovely Anne Hathaway rocking a studded silk-lapel Viktor & Rolf blazer with slim-fit pants and a simple black tee to the Hollywood Stands Up To Cancer event.

This look from the Viktor & Rolf spring/summer 2014 collection is styled to perfection, I love the laid-back vibe of the look with the addition of the slouchy tee and the turned-up cuffs with the touch of elegance of the Lady Dior handbag and bow-front heels. Basically just a classy look that works as well as on the red carpet on a celebrity as it would to work or lunch with friends.

There has been a more casual feel to Anne Hathaway lately, maybe that’s to do with her new stylist Penny Lovell, who also works with Rose Byrne, but it will be interesting to see what the actress rocks to the Oscars in March.

Beauty: Kidnapped In The Name Of Viktor and Rolf Spicebomb

Tonight I had so much fun, I was kidnapped by two guys wearing Viktor & Rolf from head-to-toe, ushered into a goods lift in an NCP car park with 30 other bloggers, forced to watch the gorgeous Sean O’Pry in a fashion film shot by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, and then scared to death by a confetti ‘Spicebomb’ scented explosion.

Seriously, I haven’t had so much fun at a fragrance launch before – Viktor & Rolf need to host more parties it was incredible.

Girlies have gone crazy for Viktor & Rolf’s debut fragrance Flowerbomb, well now is the time for the boys – and this is one sexy fragrance. I have to say I am not sure it is going to be every guys cup of tea, it is a little different, but that it was I loved about it. Totally in keeping with the quirky vibe of the brand, striking packing and I have to admit I would even wear it myself – I loved the chilli spices, leather undertones and pepper scents.

The fragrance is exclusive to Harrods at the moment, and then it rolls out nationally from March 7 – give it a go smelling is believing I think you’ll be surprised with how nice this scent is.

Who: Actress Natalie Portman from the film ‘Black Swan’

Where: At the 68th annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, California

Wearing: A pink column silk satin multi-layered Viktor and Rolf gown adorned with a hand-embroidered Swarovski crystal red rose to the front, finished off with a Dior clutch and a Tiffany diamond necklace and oval diamond stud earrings

Verdict: I have been very impressed with Natalie’s maternity wardrobe, and I love that she stun us all and went for a Viktor & Rolf gown, I think most people *including me* were expecting Dior. Once again it was a loose fitting gown, but I loved the whimsical rose features and the light shade of pink was absoultely amazing on her.

Elegant chic at its very best.
