Wedding Inspiration: Cate Blanchett & Zoe Saldana Go Bridal…Well Sort Of!!!

Ralph-Lauren-cate-blanchett

When I was looking for my wedding gown instead of just looking at bridal collections I also took inspiration from the red carpet, like the high street look to the catwalk, wedding designers also check out the latest celebrity trends when designing their gowns and I think I have found two that need to be rolled out into production!!!

The first look is a gorgeous, elegant, one-shoulder white Ralph Lauren gown worn by actress Cate Blanchett. It is the statuesque silhouette of this gown that makes it perfect for a glamorous, modern-style wedding for a bride looking for an edge – you can’t get more fashion-forward than that half-cape detail that drapes over her arm.

My second look worn by Zoe Saldana during the Cannes Film Festival is a romantic Victoria Beckham gown from her autumn/winter 2014 collection. This dress might seem a little casual for a wedding, but that is what appealed to me, not every bride-to-be wants a dramatic, show-stopper of a gown, and this Victoria Beckham is simple, yet still gorgeous. I can really picture this pleated gown at a beach wedding or one with a boho vibe -especially with that asymmetrical ruffled detailing. Casual and non-traditional doesn’t have to be boring.

Could you see these two gowns walking down the aisle rather than the red carpet?

Cinemacon 2014: Cameron Diaz In Victoria Beckham

Who: Cameron Diaz

Where: At the 20th Century Fox’s Special Presentation at Cinemacon 2014 held at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas

Wearing: A short-sleeved dove grey and white Victoria Beckham mini dress from the spring/summer 2014 collection, teamed with white pointed toe heels

Verdict: What I love about this Victoria Beckham dress, other than the fab dove grey colour, has to be how easy it is to mistake for a tennis dress, granted a very sexy tennis dress, but come on this beauty would look amazing on centre court at Wimbledon.

This dress is flirty, fun and is really working the current sporty 1990s trend, with an added flair – I love the tailoring and the asymmetrical hem on this dress, plus it really plays to Cameron’s strengths those amazing pins!!!

On the catwalk this look was presented with a wide white belt and sporty white long sleeves underneath and I really think Cameron could have pulled off this look with ease, but I do love that she paired with white pointy heels and hot red lips.

Cover Loving: Beckhams’ Grace Vogue Paris

Vogue-Paris-Beckham-2

If there was ever a time I wish I could read fluent French it is now, as the December issue of Vogue Paris not only has an amazing cover featuring Victoria and David Beckham, but it is also guest-edit by the designer.

There are two great covers shot by photographers Inez and Vinoodh, each features an intimate moment between Victoria and David, and I love them both. What surprises me most about the covers is how Victoria captures the attention over her hunky hubbie, plus how good does she look in green – she should wear that colour more often.

“We entrusted the editor’s chair for this issue to a woman who revealed herself to be the absolute opposite of her public image while we were working together,” revealed Emmanuelle Alt, editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris. “Spontaneous and full of humour, she’s modest, with a healthy dose of ambition. And like all those who are truly passionate about what they do, Victoria is a perfectionist.”

So what can you expect from Victoria’s edit – well apparently a look into her world from her family to afternoon tea with Valentino, as well as a look backstage at her spring/summer 2014 show, and a few of her Christmas memories. There is also an interview with her discussing her relationship with David and a fashion shoot by David Sims called “In Bed With Victoria”.

Roll on December 2 when Paris Vogue hits newsstands.

Which cover do you prefer? And will you be buying a copy next month?

Bag Lust: The Victoria Beckham Seven

Victoria-beckham-seven

Handbags get me every time, I’m always lusting over at least one, whether it’s an emerging designer such as Sophie Hulme or just a great bag I have seen on the high street – I’m always on the look out for my next purchase.

There is just something about carrying a new bag that gives me a great feeling – I have to be honest I’m more about handbags than shoes.

I’m a lover of bright coloured bags, I have pink, blue and even yellow, but not an acid yellow one. This mini-tote by Victoria Beckham is so lust worthy, I love the invigorating pop of colour, the sports-luxe vibe to it with it being a bowling bag, and I adore the matte-leather.

Now if only this gorgeous Victoria Beckham ‘Seven’ bowling bag was a little more in my price range, at £1,175 I think this beauty is just for my dreams – but oh boy what great dreams I will have with this on my arm!!!
