If smell-o-vision existed, I’d insist you turn it on, as you’d be able to smell the gorgeous aromas of lavender just by looking at these images. As soon as I saw this Fearne Cotton for Very maxi dress, I knew instantly that I wanted to shoot in a field of purple, and I’m so glad that Hitchin Lavender Farm is so close to me as it was such a fun afternoon prancing around in this gorgeous dress.
I’ve always had a fascination with woods, there is something magical and mysterious about being surrounded by trees, well to me anyway, I do adore seeing sun rays peaking through and the shadows that the leaves create. There is a peacefulness when in the woods that I just adore so I loved that for the first ‘His & Her’ blog post featuring my lovely husband was in the middle of our local woods to showcase these gorgeous Jord wood watches.
It was fun shooting with my husband, granted he takes most of my style posts, but I loved that he agreed to have a little fun and pose next to a tree, I think it helped that he has a new watch to wear, it is his love of timepieces that has got me addicted, I think between us we have more than 30 watches, crazy right!!!
On Wednesday I popped by Home House to check out Fearne Cotton’s debut interiors collection. I know I don’t feature much on the interior side on this blog but I loved so many pieces from her collection that I just had to share.
The 28-piece collection features cushions, cabinets, rugs and even a four-poster bed, all inspired by Fearne’s eclectic style, think vintage, floral and oriental prints, bright pinks, and her love of cats, as well as her Nan’s house, and like her clothing collection I expect it is going to be a huge success.
A couple of weeks ago, before fashion week madness kicked in, before I got ill, and before my Mum came to visit I was invited to a Google+ hangout with the Glamour editorial team to discuss their first designer collection with Very.co.uk.
If you haven’t seen the collection, check it out below – 13 great pieces that are basically a Glamour girls capsule wardrobe – a cute little black dress, one of my favourite pieces, a versatile white shirt, which you may recognise from my fashion week outfits, as well as a casual great sweatshirt, a jewelled collar, and a fun pink tutu – and best of all the most expensive piece is only £59!!!
One of my favourite pieces has to be the Broderie Trim Shirt – at only £35 this piece can be paired with a simple skate skirt or worn under a jumper – it has a great shape and cute details that I loved wearing it over fashion week.
