Venice Film Festival: Scarlett Johansson In Versace

Versace-scarlet-johansson

Who: Actress Scarlett Johansson

Where: At the premiere of ‘Under The Skin’ at the 70th Venice Film Festival in Italy

Wearing: A black off-the-shoulder Versace gown teamed with Roger Vivier heels and a multicoloured jewelled Bulgari necklace from the High Jewellery Collection and a pair of stud earrings from the Bulgari Flora Collection

Verdict: I am a sucker for old-Hollywood glamour and this black Versace gown is one show-stopping number and Scarlett Johansson looks absolutely stunning.

Everything about this looks is gorgeous – from the way the gown works her curves and shows off her incredible figure, to the sex appeal of the plunging off-the-shoulder neckline, to her statement necklace and dishevelled up-do.

For me this is red carpet perfection – Scarlett is oozing sex appeal and the styling with that pop of colour from Bulgari is just divine. I love this look.

What do you think of Scarlett Johansson’s latest red carpet look?

Jaeger-LeCoultre Gala Dinner: Diane Kruger In Alberta Ferretti

Who: Diane Kruger

Where: At the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gala Dinner celebrating its 180th anniversary at Teatro La Fenice during the 70th Venice Film Festival

Wearing: A purple, three quarter sleeved Alberta Ferretti crushed velvet gown from the autumn/winter 2013 collection, teamed with a box clutch, H. Stern diamond drop earrings, a cocktail ring, and a Jaeger-LeCoultre Joaillerie 101 Etrier watch

Verdict: There is something about velvet, I think that Diane Kruger’s latest red carpet look will split opinions, for some velvet is a little old-fashioned and conservative, however for me I love the luxe feel of the textured fabric and Diane looks uber-glamorous in this gorgeous-yet-simple Alberta Ferretti gown.

I think if this dress had been in a deep red or black I wouldn’t have like it as much – I just think the purple seems more modern and I love that she matched her plum manicure to the dress.

As well as loving the dress, I also adored Diane’s jewellery – from her elegant Jaeger-LeCoultre watch to her statement cocktail ring, and those gorgeous diamond star-shaped drop earrings – each piece is exquisite.

I know it is still sunny outside – but I am loving Diane’s wintry look – are you a fan?Jaeger_LeC-diane-kruger-5Jaeger_LeC-diane-kruger-2 Jaeger_LeC-diane-kruger-3 Jaeger_LeC-diane-kruger-4[Pics: Getty Images for Jaeger-LeCoultre]

Venice Film Festival: Dakota Fanning In Elie Saab

Who: Dakota Fanning

Where: At the premiere for her new film, ‘Night Moves’ at the 70th annual Venice Film Festival

Wearing: A midnight blue beaded Elie Saab Haute Couture ballgown featuring a deep v-neck from the autumn/winter 2013 collection, teamed with Rona Pfeiffer sapphire and diamond ring

Verdict: Wow, wow, wow – what a look from Dakota Fanning over the weekend while she was in Venice promoting her latest flick.

You can’t get more beautiful than an Elie Saab Couture gown, and I love everything about the 19-year-olds look, from the gorgeous colour of the ballgown to her fun additions of the bling ring by Rona Pfeiffer, and I adore that she kept her hair and make-up youthful.

The blonde actress is a real beauty and I love her take on fashion – this looks is dramatic with the plunging neckline, glamorous with the beaded embroidery, and totally age-appropriate with the fun accessories and poker straight hair.

I love this look – are you a fan of Dakota’s Elie Saab gown?

Venice Film Festival: Selena Gomez In Atelier Versace

Who: Selena Gomez

Where: At the premiere for her new film Spring Breakers at the 69th Annual Venice Film Festival

Wearing: A strapless pale pink leather Atelier Versace gown from the autumn/winter 2011 collection, featuring a stencil design and a dramatic draping that gathered at her hip and then cascaded down her skirt to the side, teamed with a Judith Leiber minaudière and Lorraine Schwartz jewellery

Verdict: On paper, this dress should have been worn by a red carpet big-hitter like Kate Hudson, Diane Kruger, or Penelope Cruz, but some how Selena really makes this exquisite gown work for her.

Last year she was a Disney starlet, cute, adorable but still very much a teenager, this year she really has stepped it up, hitting twenty has turned her into a screen siren in the making for me. I loved her sexy Roberto Cavalli mini she wore the MuchMusic Video Awards, I had serious leg envy when she worked a Versace look to launch her fragrance, but what really made her stand-out for me this year had to be her high-fashion editorial for the July issue of American ELLE – it really showed off her sexy side.

Like with newcomer Maika Monroe who wowed last week in Marchesa, Selena came to Venice and completely stole the show. I love the blush-toned colour of the gown, I love the drama of the side draping, I totally adore her side-swept tousled waves, and I really don’t think her first major appearance at the Venice Film Festival could have gone much better!!!

Do you rate Selena’s look or do you think this dress is a little too mature for her?
