I know I have been bombarding you with lots of red carpet fashion, Oscars weekend is full on, I’ve already run through all my favourite Oscars looks, gushed over Diane Kruger’s hybrid look, and now here we have Naomi, Amy and Natalie rounding off my best dressed at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
I wasn’t going to bother doing a play-by-play look at the Vanity Fair red carpet, **the Oscars red carpet was a little disappointing this year**, well that was until I heard that Diane Kruger was to wear custom Donna Karan Atelier, and as soon as I saw the hybrid dress-come-jumpsuit creation I knew that I had to share it – just look how amazing it is!!!
I do love the annual Vanity Fair Hollywood issue, it is always the most glamorous cover of the year, excluding the 3-in-a-bed scene from a few years ago, and I do love seeing the biggest names in Hollywood in a shoot together. Once again shot by Annie Leibovitz, did you know she has photographed all but three of the Hollywood issues in its 21 years, and like last year I am a fan of this cover due to its old Hollywood glamour feel, I love seeing the men dressed in white-tie tuxedos and the ladies in shimmery gowns. Granted there isn’t anything new
Who: Diane Kruger Where: At the Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2014 in West Hollywood, California Wearing: A sheer lace Valentino Couture gown featuring cape detailing and three-quarter sleeves from the spring/summer 2014 collection, teamed with black heels, a black beaded clutch and her Jaeger-LeCoultre watch Verdict: It is Diane Kruger’s ability to bring something different to the red carpet that I missed her from the main event. The actress is like a chameleon she never really goes for the same thing twice and really takes fashion risks that nearly always come off. This gorgeous Valentino Couture was a look that wowed me and really
Who: Lupita Nyong’o Where: At the Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2014 in West Hollywood, California Wearing: A seafoam green Miu Miu belted silk gown with green beaded fringe along the neckline, teamed with matching peep-toe heels and the same Fred Leighton headband from the main event, oh and carrying her Oscar statue Verdict: I loved the pale blue Prada gown and it was perfect for Lupita to float up the stairs to collect her Best Supporting Actress Oscar, but this cute column gown was the fun party frock that the Vanity Fair party needs and kind of reminds me of the change Jennifer Lawrence made last
