Editorial Loving: Chloe Moretz Channels Old Hollywood For US Glamour

Do you ever see some editorials and think why wasn’t that on the cover? Well that’s how I am feeling about the September issue of US Glamour. For the ‘Hollywood Issue’ the magazine went for Jennifer Aniston, yes I know she still sells covers, yes she does have a film out, but it just didn’t blow me away, on the other hand this editorial featuring young starlet Chloe Moretz channelling Old Hollywood glamour is divine.

Shot by legendary photographer Patrick Demarchelier, the young actress of Kickass fame looks gorgeous in this editorial which mixes 1940’s Hollywood with a touch of 90’s grunge. At only 16, Chloe looks incredible dressed in looks by Diane Von Furstenberg, Chanel, Saint Laurent, and Isabel Marant.

Just imagine what an impact her black and white pictures would have made on the cover – I know not very Glamour, but come on for the September issue they could have so pulled it off.

I haven’t seen Chloe look this good before in editorials, it is a little mature possible for age, but I think that’s why it works so well and she looks absolutely flawless. I can see many luxury brands considering her as a future face – especially beauty and fragrance brands.

What do you think of Chloe Moretz glamorous editorial? Do you think that Glamour should have taken a chance and placed her on the September issue cover?chloe-moretz-glamour-sept chloe-moretz-glamour-sept-1 chloe-moretz-glamour-sept-3 chloe-moretz-glamour-sept- chloe-moretz-glamour-us-sep chloe-moretz-glamour-sept-2[Pics: Patrick Demarchelier/Glamour via thefashionspot.com]

Cover Loving: Anne Hathaway Has Fun With Glamour US

When I first saw this cover of Anne Hathaway on the January issue of Glamour US I have to be honest I was stunned – I love her movies, her red carpet looks, but never have I seen her look so happy, young and even sexy – for me this a great cover.

Shot by Alexel Hay, I love the styling and direction of this shoot, not only does Anne look like she is having so much fun but she also looks incredible. I love the combination of the $50 Monrow charity vest in aid of One Billion Rising, a good cause highlighting rape and violence against women, teamed with the sexy Clover Canyon embroidered briefs and very cool Skullcandy headphones – she looks hot!

I am also pleased that Anne has grown into her pixie cut, her hair looks cute in these pictures, and oh my that yellow Alexander McQueen gown in the editorial is simply divine.

I am sure that some will feel this is a cheesy cover, but come on peeps it is for Glamour, but I have to be honest I really do love it.

What do you think of Anne showing off her fun side?

Glamour Awards: Jennifer Lopez Works Versace

Who: Jennifer Lopez

Where: At Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year Awards in New York

Wearing: A dove grey beaded Atelier Versace gown from the autumn/winter 2011 collection, with a leather petal on the shoulder and beaded detailing cascading down the dress and a thigh-high split; teamed with peep-toe Jimmy Choo heels

Verdict: Seriously when you need a stunning red carpet look you need to call Versace and then have Jennifer Lopez work it as this is an amazing look. Since announcing her separation from Marc Anthony, J-Lo has been on fire, and this is another great outfit. I just can’t get over how stunning she looks – how hot are her toned legs.

I am only slighty *actually a lot* jealous!!!!

Cover Loving: Diane Kruger For American Glamour

I love giving my opinion of magazine covers, and I love that it has become a staple in the office, and thankfully they don’t get annoyed with me breaking down each cover that drops onto our desks. Well when I saw this cute cover from American Glamour with the gorgeous Diane Kruger I was very excited.

Normally, I would pass this cover to one side, I like girlie cute but I totally prefer OTT fashion and experimental, but this is so perfect for Glamour. But you know what I loved, it is such as different side of Diane from her red carpet glamour, that it totally works for me.

Shot by Ellen von Unwerth, I love seeing Diane looking relaxed and showing off her quirky personality, but of course she she had to work at least one piece of Chanel and that jacket it to-die-for!!

To be honest the whole editorial looks amazing, and I can’t wait to read the whole interview where she discusses marriage with Pacey *sorry Joshua Jackson*, and her love of fashion. Check out the cover-shoot photo gallery over at Glamour – gorgeous!!
