My Style: A Pop Of Orange

I haven’t done an outfit post in a while, mainly because I haven’t thought any has warranted attention, that was until yesterday when I wore this amazing orange shift dress from Dorothy Perkins.

First up the colour is striking and definitely cheers up a very wet and miserable August, secondly the fit is amazing I love how the Georgette material makes the skirt kick out nicely, and finally how cool is this buckle belt that comes with the dress it really helps nip the waist in.

I was planning to wear this with gladiator flats for a quirky cool daytime look, but with the weather like it is I had to get the tights out early, I know it is sacrilege to wear tights before September but it just had to be done.

I finished off my outfit with my trusty heeled brogues from Primark, I know cheapies but they are so comfortable; and then for my jewellery I just went simple with my black beaded Thomas Sabo charm bracelet, and an added pop of colour with my retro pink Casio, I just like the fact they clash slightly.

My Style: All Of A Cherry In Christchurch

At the weekend I went to Christchurch, Dorset to help celebrate my friend Lloyd’s birthday and it was so much fun, sorry if you saw my bombardment on Twitter on Saturday night. As it was a night away from home I took like four options for the evening, and only one alternative for the next day, which meant I had a summery outfit and it rained like hell.

For Saturday night I went for my black cherry print H! by Henry Holland from Debenhams. I just love the soft-touch fabric of this dress and I feel like it is super flattering with its batwing sleeves and pleated skirt. It was a comfie-yet-glam option as I knew we were going for dinner then drinks.

I paired my dress with my heeled brogues, which are from Primark, I don’t normally buy shoes from there but these are super comfortable and go with everything. Finishing off my look is my new retro pink Casio watch from Time2, so adorably cute, and it even lights up *sad I know*.

The birthday crew - such a great night

I love going away as for the most part we get to stay in a hotel, and generally speak Paulie and I keep with tradition and hit up Best Western. I know weird right, but when we were on holiday in California we stayed in Best Western’s throughout our trip and had so much fun, we even went with BW when we went to Paris, and now we can scratch off the one in Christchurch.

It was a cute hotel and we had a super big room, and first thing I noticed was the re-branding ‘Hotels with personality’ for the complimentary items. Love the scribble stick!!
