Once again Mulberry has put together a whimsical English rose setting for its spring/summer 2014 ad campaign starring a very girlie looking Cara Delevingne in an animal tea-party themed shoot.
Not only is the concept cute, the styling of Cara by Edward Enninful is the most demure I have ever seen her look, she looks every inch the archetypal English rose – however I do think the animals are grabbing most of the attention!!!
I do love a charming English tea party, but I think I adore Mulberry’s take even more, with a white pony, a Jack Russell, a Patterdale Terrier, a Great Dane, a pelican and two cockatoos, apparently called Archie and Spud taking centre stage – it just shows that even for a model like Cara it is hard to compete with gorgeous animals – especially the pony, Dusty isn’t she just a darling.
I really do think that Tim Walker and Mulberry is a match made in heaven – I love this cute and quirky ad campaign.
Are you a fan of Cara’s new Mulberry campaign?
I love whimsical, I love drama, and I adore an edgy fairytale theme. The autumn/winter 2013 ad campaign for Red Valentino has once again been captured by Tim Walker and it shows off the beauty and darkness of the fairytale collection to perfection.
I just love how you can instantly tell that this is a Tim Walker campaign, from the use of props to the contrast between her romantic floral looks and the sinister setting, which looks all the more striking against the crisp white background.
As well as loving the art direction of the campaign, the Russian doll, folky fairytale collection is just adorable – I am in love with the flower pompom shoes, the braided hair and the feminine dresses.
I am seriously lusting over Valentino’s little sister line.

This week I finally got chance to visit Tim Walker’s incredible exhibition at Somerset House. I am not sure what took me so long, but after I couldn’t make the press preview I kind of just kept forgetting but with the exhibition coming to an end this weekend I just couldn’t let it end without looking around.
Tim Walker, famous for his incredible Mulberry campaigns, is much more than just a photographer, this creative-but-tiny exhibit really shows off the lengths he goes to in his shoots with the use of gorgeous and generally oversized props. Everything from giant bugs, skeletons, musical instruments, planes, crumpled up newspaper and my favourite the giant rag doll, which is kind of creepy-but-adorable.
Sadly you aren’t allowed to take pictures, crazy right when they have been everywhere on Twitter, Instagram and the Internet, but I just couldn’t resist taking a few sneaky snaps with my mobile *here’s hoping Tim Walker doesn’t mind*, but come on beauty like this needs to be shared with more than just words right?
The exhibition closes tomorrow, so if like me you kept forgetting, and thought you had loads of time – you don’t and for a free exhibition I would certainly recommend checking out if you are in the Somerset House area this weekend.
Tim Walker: Story Teller runs at Somerset House until January 27, 2013 – open 10am until 6pm.
Add Daphne Groeneveld, Stereo Total’s tune “I Love You, Ono”, lots of sun, plenty of dancing, and of course a cat and you seriously get a gorgeous beauty mini-film. That is exactly what Jonas Akerlund has done for Dior’s Addict perfume short and I adore it.
Trust me if you are in need of cheering up this film will do it, set in a gorgeous seaside town that looks like it has been specially painted in this season’s key pastel colours – not only is Daphne completely stunning soaking up the sun on the beach, playing dress-up behind a leopard-print screen, and doing the cha-cha, she also wears a cat on her head, yep you read that right!!!
Daphne really does capture the art of seduction beautifully in this colourful film, but seriously, I need to ask who else could work a cat on her head and look this hot??? Very impressive, and if you don’t finish this film without smiling I have no clue what will make you happy.
There is always something magical about Mulberry’s vision, whether it is for a celeb-studded party, a catwalk show, or a retail window display, the British brand under the helm of Emma Hill seems to just push the limit every season. For autumn/winter 2012, it seems that the Mulberry has captured the magic of the collection, which was inspired by the fantastical ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ perfectly with the help of its two giant furry beasts with claws to appear alongside model Lindsey Wixson.
Shot by Tim Walker in Blackheath Forest in Surrey, which I so need to visit doesn’t it look magical, I love that it has a Brother’s Grim meets Big Foot vibe about it that works perfectly against the gorgeous tailored, layered and textured collection. The lace and the tweed seriously pops against the trees and the claws.
All the shots are incredible, as are the bags I love them all from the Del Rey in Ostrich in the top shot to the gorgeous embellished Alexa bag *second to last* and the divine new tweed Lily Shoulder with Chain Handle in the final image.
But my favourite shot has to be Lindsay in orange or should I say flame as Mulberry have called it, she looks insane in that lace top and flared skirt, plus her arm candy is the new Maisie, I have to admit I did swoon slightly at the sight of this bag so wish I could add this to my collection of bags!!!
One thing I have to ask though – does the forest fairytale top the seaside shoot from spring/summer 2012?
