Oscars 2014: Best Dressed – Kate Hudson In Atelier Versace

Oscars Versace kate hudson Oscars 2014: Best Dressed Kate Hudson In Atelier Versace %tagWho: Actress Kate Hudson

Where: At the 86th Academy Awards held in Los Angeles, California

Wearing: A pale silver custom Atelier Versace gown with a plunging neckline and adorned with Swarovski crystals from the spring/summer 2014 collection, teamed with a matching cape top and Jimmy Choo heels

Verdict: Wowzer, Kate Hudson always brings it on the red carpet. Just like Diane Kruger, I have a bit, OK a lot of a girl crush on Kate as she is simply always flawless and this stunning look is another example of how beautiful she is.

This is one gorgeous gown, I love its old school Hollywood glamour vibe, from the liquid metallic shimmer to the encrusted beads to the dramatic draped cape atop of her shoulders, this is a show-stopping outfit that is most certainly one of my best dressed looks of the night.

This dress marries sexy with the plunging neckline with an elegance and glamour of the colour, the cape, and the exquisite hair and make-up. I am seriously in love with this look.

Gorgeous. Gorgeous. Gorgeous.

Jewellery Loving: Atelier Swarovski Christopher Kane SS14

swarovski ckane 3 Jewellery Loving: Atelier Swarovski Christopher Kane SS14 %tag

If there is one thing I love more than anything else, well except my boyfriend, family, friends and Barbie of course, has to be sparkles. There is something about a gorgeous piece of jewellery, whether it is a stunning pair of earrings, an arm stacked high with bracelets, or a statement necklace, jewellery can totally change-up any look as well as your mood.

I recently checked out the Atelier Swarovski spring/summer 2014 collection, which each season ties up with a number of designers, including Christopher Kane and Maison Martin Margiela **more to come on their amazing designs**, and I just had to share Kane’s updated iconic crystal mesh ‘Bolster’ collection, which has been reworked in new seasonal colour ways.

Not only is the design simple but I love how timeless the pieces are and no matter what colour each sparkles so beautifully. My favourite piece has to be the twist bolster necklace, where hundreds of individually set crystals have been combined and entwined to create a striking necklace, and finished off with a chunky clasp.

Starting at £210 for a Bolster bracelet to £700 for the Twist Bolster necklace, this collection isn’t cheap – but just think how chic the pieces would look on. I have to be honest I hope Santa is reading this as it would be amazing to unwrap a piece on Christmas morning!!!

Are you a fan of Christopher Kane’s jewellery collaboration with Swarovski?

Teen Vogue Party: Holland Roden & Kiernan Shipka In Emporio Armani

Armani Holland Roden Teen Vogue Party: Holland Roden & Kiernan Shipka In Emporio Armani %tagWho: Teen Wolf star Holland Roden

Where: At the 2013 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party in Los Angeles

Wearing: A purple Emporio Armani double-breasted blazer dress with a notch lapel, teamed with jewellery from David Webb and Effy, and finished off with Rupert Sanderson heels

Verdict: Holland Roden has really been surprising me of late on the red carpet, first we had that gorgeous Naeem Khan look at the MTV VMAs featuring an open ballskirt over cigarette pants, then there was the sexy Georges Chakra Couture dress wore to a pre-Emmy party, and now we have this striking double-breasted blazer dress.

I love red hair teamed with purple and this dress is sexy and sophisticated while still being youthful. I love the shorter length and long sleeves, though I think it would have also worked as a sleeveless dress. The whole look works perfectly with those black and white Rupert Sanderson heels and dramatic eyes.

Who: Mad Men starlet Kiernan Shipka

Wearing: An Emporio Armani black cape paired with iridescent paisley print trousers, teamed with a ruby red Swarovski crystal clutch, and black heels

Verdict: For me, Kiernan Shipka is another star on the rise, along with Holland, Hailee Steinfeld, and Dakota Fanning. At the Primetime Emmy’s Kiernan really shined in her gorgeous Delpozo frock, and this Emporio Armani two-piece is another stunning and well put together look.

Whereas most of the other starlets went for dresses, I love that Kiernan stood out from the pack in these incredible paisley print ankle-grazing trousers. They totally work with her chic black cape, I  love the three-quarter sleeves, and the added pop of colour in her clutch bag rounds off the look perfectly.

Which look do you prefer Holland’s double-breasted blazer dress or Kiernan’s statement trousers?

Elton John Oscar Party: Nina Dobrev In Naeem Khan

Who: Nina Dobrev

Where: At 21st Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party held in Hollywood

Wearing: A black and white printed Naeem Khan gown from the autumn/winter 2013 collection, teamed with Chopard jewellery, a Swarovski envelope clutch and Barbara Bui shoes

Verdict: I love how Nina Dobrev and her stylist Ilaria Urbinati keep on getting it so spot on, this gorgeous bold printed Naeem Khan gown is incredible and was one of my favourite looks of the whole Oscar weekend.

This look is giving me everything I want to see in a red carpet appearance – it has drama in that bold monochrome print, which is exquisite, it has an elegance about it with the high neck, a sexiness with the plunging open back, a delicateness with those diamond drop earrings from Chopard, and a youthful feel with her cute high ponytail.

I just can’t help gush – this look is just simply sensational - I love it!!!

People’s Choice Awards: Morena Baccarin In Donna Karan Atelier

Morena Baccarin DonnaKaranA Peoples Choice Awards: Morena Baccarin In Donna Karan Atelier %tagWho: Homeland’s Morena Baccarin

Where: At the People Choice Awards 2013, which were held last night at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles

Wearing: A smokey white strapless Donna Karan Atelier jumpsuit, featuring a stone encrusted corset, draped waisted and and silk crepe pants, teamed with a Swarovski clutch

Verdict: I do love seeing jumpsuits on the red carpet especially during award season, do you remember Rose Bryne at the SAG Awards last year, well I think this Donna Karan Atelier beauty on Morena Baccarin is just as stunning and daring.

For me this look is all about that corset, the stone embellishments really do stand out, and really gives this jumpsuit a red carpet feel. I am also pleased that it was in white, as it could have so easily been done in black, which I just think would have been a little too safe.

The only thing that could have made this my best dressed look over Taylor Swift would have been if the trouser length had been a little shorter, it just makes me think she changed her heels at the last minute to ones that weren’t as high.

But trust me that is just me being extra picky as I am always pleased to see Donna Karan Atelier on the red carpet – I can’t wait to see what the Golden Globes brings!!!

My Style: What I Wore To My Friend’s Wedding

WeddingStyle My Style: What I Wore To My Friends Wedding %tag

Last weekend, before the weather turned on us, I was enjoying the sun down in Sussex for my friend’s wedding. It was a small but sophisticated affair at the gorgeous Marco Pierre White venue Kings Barns, and the day was just so much fun-filled with lots of Pims, laughter with friends, delicious food especially the strawberry Pavlova, a little bit of crazy dancing, adorable bunting, and most importantly a stunning bride and handsome groom.

This was my second wedding of the summer, I still have another two to go before the year is up, but this is the one I have been most excited about as both Jim and Sarah are close friends. I don’t think I have been to such a fun and relaxed wedding before, I adored Sarah’s striking dress she really did look gorgeous and I admired Jim for wearing his dress uniform, it was scorching and that uniform looked warm, but he did look incredible.

I had been panicking slightly about what to wear as I knew it was going to be such a great day, when I saw this gorgeous nude pink dress in Warehouse I was blown away, I completely fell in love with its Art Deco-inspired sequin embellished neck line. I have to be honest I was a little worried about going for such a light colour, I am normally in the colour scheme closer to black, but as soon as I tried it on and twirled in the chiffon full skirt it just felt right.

With the statement detailing on the front I didn’t go crazy on my accessories, opting for platform strappy Calvin Klein Collection shoes, which were the most comfortable shoe ever and a bargain from The Outnet clearance sale, as well as an Art Dec-style clutch from Warehouse, a couple of my favourite charm and diamond bracelets, well it wouldn’t be right without some arm candy, and finishing off my look were my new specs from Specsavers.

I always worry about having to wear glasses at weddings and parties, I could wear contacts but touching my own eyes creeps me out, but these Karen Millen beauties are perfect when dressing up. I love the matt finish to frames, I find shiny a little too much at times, and these are the lightest glasses I own so it really didn’t feel like I was even wearing glasses.

I didn’t want to go too crazy in sharing pictures from the day, but here are a few of my favourites: First up we have Paulie and I with Mr and Mrs Priestley, I blame the heat for Paulie taking off his tie and jacket as he really did looked dapper. Below is a close up of Jim’s medal bling; the happy couple I just adore Sarah’s wedding dress; and the last photo is Paulie with our close friends Olly, Marcus, Jim, Pete and Mat.WeddingJim My Style: What I Wore To My Friends Wedding %tagWeddingJimSarah My Style: What I Wore To My Friends Wedding %tagWeddingTheBoys My Style: What I Wore To My Friends Wedding %tag

My Style: One Wedding, Two Looks

Wedding1 My Style: One Wedding, Two Looks %tag

At the weekend I went to my boyfriend’s oldest friends wedding, they were born an hour apart and have been friends ever since, so I decided to work two very different dresses from the Marks and Spencer Limited Collection. I know what you are thinking two dresses to a wedding that isn’t my own is a little excessive, well in my defence I was invited to the wedding ceremony at the church and then the evening bash, so with the downtime in-between I decided that I wanted to try out my new LBD in the evening.

WeddingDay3 My Style: One Wedding, Two Looks %tag

So, for the main event the wedding ceremony was in the most gorgeous church just behind Poole Quay, and I decided to be extra brave and work this amazing bright coloured digi-print from Marks & Spencer’s amazing Limited Collection. As soon as I tried it on I knew instantly that I loved it because of the colours and the flirty silhouette, I was a little worried however if I could pull it off. As it was so bright, I knew that working a bright pair of shoes would be perfect, as well as a bright colour on my nails, I went for Rimmel’s Peppermint shade. I did also look for a bright blue clutch but I couldn’t find one anywhere, but I am so glad that I went for this Art Deco-style clutch box from Warehouse as it will go with everything.

My Style: Marks & Spencer – Limited Collection, Abstract Print Dress, £39.50 (c/o); Warehouse, Deco Box Bag, £26; Marks & Spencer – Limited Collection, Red Raffia Sandals, £29.50; Swarovski Bracelet; Thomas Sabo Charm Bracelets.

For the evening bash, which was in the RNLI’s Head Quarter’s right on the quay, I decided to work my new little black dress, basically I loved the print number but I forgot my white blazer and the black didn’t work and it was a little nippy, so I went for a black number teamed with my fiery heels.

Firstly I am in love with this dress, only £25 from Marks & Spencer it is a complete bargain and it is super flattering, I felt slim and sexy all night and I loved it paired with my blazer from New Look. I broke up the black with a skinny cream belt from Warehouse, which matched my clutch perfectly. I also changed up my jewellery a little and added a cool gold beaded doll bracelet from Maggie Angus’ new autumn/winter 2012 collection, which got a lot of lovely comments.
