I Want It All: StyleMint Launches On StylistPick

StyleMint1 I Want It All: StyleMint Launches On StylistPick %tag

I admit I am an Olsen twin fan, I love their style, I dream of owning something from their high-end line The Row, which they recently won a CFDA Award for, and I have been lusting over their casual collection of t-shirts, dresses and skirts, StyleMint since they launched it 12 months ago in the US.

Well, I have good news as their StyleMint clothing collection is now exclusive in the UK to StylistPick, yep not content with shoe collections from Cheryl Cole and Louise Roe, this is an online shopping site on the up, and if you haven’t been by lately it has changed a lot – they are now also selling sunglasses.

Prices for the Olsen’s StyleMint starts at a very affordable £15 and the highlights include the ‘Harlem’ chiffon-back tee, the simple grey marl pocket tee called the ‘Victoria’, daytime Breton stripes on the long-sleeved ‘Barley’ top and the ‘Broadway’ striped cotton dress, and to pair all these fab tees with you have the relaxed ‘Selby’ dip hem skirt that comes in pink and grey. Seriously drool worthy wardrobe staples that won’t break the bank.

Project 365: Day 123 – My Gorgeous Nadine Bag

Day123 500x500 Project 365: Day 123 My Gorgeous Nadine Bag %tag

You may recognise this gorgeous vintage-inspired colour-block Gladstone bag, better known now as my Nadine, as I raved about it when I saw StylistPick’s spring/summer 2012 preview back in December, well I finally got her!!!

I knew it was coming in the April picks, and even though it wasn’t in my showroom, I nearly didn’t snag this beauty as I really do feel like April whizz by quicker than usual.

I have been carrying this beauty all day and I have had so many amazing comments, mainly that people think it is vintage, which is kind of the idea as I just love its ladylike vibe and the colours are perfection the pale pink works amazingly with the pastel blue, and I love the texture-effect to the faux leather.

But people are also loving the shape and size, which is perfect to carry all my blogging needs in this crazy press day season. I snapped it with my camera, diary, notepad, umbrella, make-up, tickets, purse, etc., inside and you wouldn’t be able to tell, as it fits it all and keeps it shape.

But even though it was in the StylistPick April showroom I noticed that the site has changed slightly and there is a new Last Chance section and the beautiful Nadine is in there, be quick as once she is gone, she is gone, and at only £39.95 I can’t expect it taking long for her to sell out.

Do you love Nadine as much as me?

StylistPick: Chery Cole Goes Candy Sweet For Spring

StylistPickCherylSS1 StylistPick: Chery Cole Goes Candy Sweet For Spring %tag

Today has kind of gone a little Cheryl Cole crazy, snaps of her new music video have hit the internet, I posted earlier about her gorgeous Marie Claire covers, and now StylistPick have given me an exclusive sneak preview of her new spring/summer collection for the brand.

Her debut 12-piece shoe collection for the online retailer sold really well, full of statement heels, quirky ankle boots, and comfortable biker boots, basically filled with all the things that Cheryl loves. For spring it seems Chezza is showing off her sweet tooth as she has named all the pieces after her favourite retro sweets.

First up with have Candy Sticks, a chic leather and suede mix ankle boot with toe cap and bow detailing. Cheryl says: “If Audrey Hepburn was a Noughties woman, I think she’d love this”. These feel like a spring update to the popular RiRi boots.

Next up is Fizz Balls, the cork wedge that Cheryl tweeted back in January, this glittery tassel number is sure to become a summer staple. Do like Cheryl and team with shorts and a statement tee.

Finally, my favourite of the preview has to be Flying Saucers, not only are they my fav retro sweeties but I am loving the double strap detailing on these t-bar sandals, and for £79.90 they are great value for some ladylike leather heels.

What do you think – will you be buying anything from Cheryl’s new collection?

Cover Loving: Cheryl Cole Shines For Marie Claire

CherylMarieClaire Cover Loving: Cheryl Cole Shines For Marie Claire %tag

Marie Claire teased us all on Facebook yesterday with who was gracing their May cover, I think a lot of people guessed correctly that it was Cheryl Cole, but I have to admit I was blown away with how gorgeous she looks on the subscriber cover it makes me sad I don’t subscribe!!!

Admittedly, her dress does remind me a little of Ashley Olsen’s Swarovski crystal and sequinned lace dress by Dolce & Gabbana that she wore on ELLE last month, but hey I would have loved it as the newsstand cover. That isn’t to say she doesn’t look incredible on the newsstand version in that white body-con draped dress with cut-out detailing to the waist – Cheryl has seriously been working out as she looks amazing.

The May issue hits newsstands on Thursday, the same day her spring/summer 2012 collection of shoes hits StylistPick, and the editorial shoot gives you a sneak peek at the heels, and they look as good as her debut range.

Which cover do you prefer?

Buy Her Style: Faux fur is everywhere at the moment on the high-street and this shaggy Jillie jacket from Reiss is one of the best, priced at £245. Cheryl’s debut shoe collection has gone down well and I am glad to see her sporting her own designs, especially these cute brown booties, which can be yours for £119.85 from StylistPick.

Wearing: Cheryl has also been seen working her Reiss faux fur coat with the purple coated super skinny Nico Hudson Jeans

Buy Her Style: As if Cheryl needs to look skinnier, but these Hudson Jeans have a second skin silhouette to make you look taller and slimmer and I love this vintage amethyst hue because it has a look of leather about it – these jeans can be yours for $198.

Flashy Footwear: Cheryl Cole for StylistPick

cheryl1 Flashy Footwear: Cheryl Cole for StylistPick %tag

I had heard great things about the Cheryl Cole’s first foray into designing with StylistPick.com but I wasn’t prepared for how great the shoes and boots would be. Don’t get me wrong not everything in the 12-piece collection is my cup of tea, but what I was really surprised about was how there is something for everyone and how well the pieces showcase her style from the towering heels to the edgy biker boots.

What I loved most about the line has to be the funky names from Your Royal Hottness to Byker Groove (below), and my favourite being Funky Munky. There is even a pair of leopard print boots called Ri Ri modelled by Chezza above – do you think that is shout-out to her pal Rihanna. The collection really does showcase her personality and you can tell she was very involved.

I love Cheryl’s ‘signature shoe’ the nude studded platform, very Louboutin and at £79.9o exceptional value. My favourite of the killer heels has to be Hot To Trot, I just love that houndstooth print and the concealed platform – very chic, and again a bargain at £79.90.

cheryl5 Flashy Footwear: Cheryl Cole for StylistPick %tagcheryl2 Flashy Footwear: Cheryl Cole for StylistPick %tagcoolcomfy Flashy Footwear: Cheryl Cole for StylistPick %tag

Probably my favourite of the whole collection has to be Byker Groove – Mucky Puppy – causal and edgy, I love the double buckle – these boots look comfortable enough to wear everyday.

cheryl3 Flashy Footwear: Cheryl Cole for StylistPick %tagankleboots Flashy Footwear: Cheryl Cole for StylistPick %tag

Out of all the pieces I think these ankle boots are the ones I am not sure about, I go from one extreme of loving the OTT fringe trimmed Funky Munky zip boots to really disliking the two-tone leather strap boot called Freak Le Chic – I really do feel these are something of a desired taste, just not mine. I have to admit I was surprised that only two pairs had animal print influences, but the Ri Ri boot is a step too far for me.

Overall, I am really impressed, I think the prices aren’ttoo bad ranging from £79.90-£119.85 for most of the boot styles, a bit of a price jump from the usual £39.99 but it is a limited edition collection so I can understand that. I hear that there are more styles coming next year and I am hoping that Chezza also branches out into handbags.

What do you think? What are your favourite pieces of Cheryl’s collection? Will you be buying any of the shoes?

Hot Picks: These Boots Are Made For Walking

hotboots1 Hot Picks: These Boots Are Made For Walking %tag

I am a boot hoarder, I think when it comes to footwear I fall head over heels for boots more than any other style, so I thought it only right to share my love with everyone. I have put together my top eight boots that I am lusting over at the moment, quite a mixture of funky, practical and my favourites being super comfie!!

1. Mou Eskimo suede boots, £280, Net-a-Porter

I have recently been introduced to this amazing brand, full blog post to come soon I promise, and these anthracite suede boots will keep your warm this winter with their sheepskin lining. I also love the contrasting stitching. The most expensive of my picks but definitely worth the investment.

2. EMU Australia Illura boots, £250, EMU Australia

I have been an EMU Australia convert for many years now, what I love about this mid-calf style other than the gorgeous mushroom colour has to be the belt and sheepskin detailing, which allows the style to be worn up or folded down. As well as it being stylish, unlike other sheepskin boots EMU are water-resistant.

3. Dr Martens Aries boots, £200, Dr Marten

A re-working of the 1460 classic in a beautiful grey suede leather boot that is lined with wool shearling. I know, you get the edgy vibe of wearing Dr Martens, while still staying toasty warm. LOVE!!

4. Cheryl Cole for StylistPick T.L.C boots, £79.90, StylistPick

Just launched this week Chezza’s debut footwear collection is something special and one of my favourites has to be these slouchy ankle boots with faux sheepskin lining and a duffle toggle.

5. Red or Dead Celeste boots, £130, Schuh

One of my favourite features is Shop Her Style, so I thought only fitting to include a boot that has recently been picked up by a celebrity and these boots were bought by Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson. These work as both practical come on who doesn’t need a pair of black knee-high boots, and also fashionable with its vintage detailing of the stacked heel and leather tassels.

6. Medwinds Niza Knee Highs, £110, Medwinds

Classic knee highs never go out of fashion and these are beauties, I especially love the contrasting stacked heel and the price – such great value.

7. Aldo Barrarito, £200, Aldo

Want a designer boot at a more affordable price? Well the Christian Cota for Aldo collection is edgy and fashionable. My favourite has to be these knee-high leather boots, which do double duty as a trendy urban boots. As well as having a soft and cosy shearling lining – they also have a removable ankle cover – but that is the best bit for me. They also come in black but I just loved the brown.

8. Senso Jay Glitter Boot, £145, Doll Boutique

I couldn’t do a my top boots without including a glittery number or without one of my favourite Australian brands. I think these are perfect for the festive season, while still being comfortable as they only have a mid heel – also the harness feature I think allows these to be worn during the day as well.

Which one is your favourite?
