Red Carpet: Diane Kruger In Roland Mouret

Who: Actress Diane Kruger

Where: At the 18th Annual City Of Lights, City Of Angels Film Festival at Directors Guild Of America in Los Angeles, California

Wearing: A black Roland Mouret ‘Tabit’ jumpsuit featuring a contrasting white neckline from the Resort 2014 collection, teamed with a stripped oversized clutch, blue polka-dot heels and a shearling-lined denim coat

Verdict: Normally I don’t question what Diane Kruger wears, basically it is always perfection, however this look is only 95% there for me and it is all because of that denim jacket.

The jumpsuit I adore, it is chic and modern, especially when you see the sculptured neckline of the Roland Mouret piece, and I love that she turned up the hem to show off her ankles and those amazing pointy-toe polka-dot heels.

But for me the denim jacket just overwhelms the look and kind of takes away from the flattering fit of the jumpsuit. All I can think of is that she was cold – there is no other reason I can think of to keep this jacket on to walk the red carpet!!!

What I will say is that her hair and make-up as always didn’t let her down – simply flawless and her shoes are incredible.

Shop her Style: You can pick up Diane’s Roland Mouret ‘Tabit’ stretch-crepe jumpsuit at Net-a-Porter for £1,395.

What do you think – are you on board with this look?

Shopping: The Outnet’s 5th Birthday Collection

Can you believe that The Outnet is only 5 years old? For me it seems to have been around for as long as its higher-end, exclusive big sister Net-a-Porter, and it really has come a long way since its days as just a clearance outlet. Yeah it has always been the place to go for a designer bargain but the past 18-months or so I have really found it a go-to site when shopping for any occasion, not only for discounted gear but also for its Iris & Ink in-house collection of luxury staples and its accessories are always so incredible, my last few designer handbags have come from The Outnet.

So to celebrate its 5th Birthday, The Outnet has teamed up with 17 amazing designers including Alexander McQueen, Balmain, Chloé and J.W.Anderson to produce a collection featuring their re-issued, best-loved pieces and I basically want everything!!!

A few weeks ago I got to check out the collection, basically imagined spending away my wedding fund, and styled up a few of my favourite pieces, which is hard when the line also includes Oscar de la Renta, Jason Wu, Nicholas Kirkwood and Haizhen Wang and starts at just £130.

Of course I instantly fell in love with the accessories – the Squeeze It’ patent-leather Alexander McQueen clutch is to-die-for, I love it so much and the £357 price-tag isn’t bag for a classic piece like this, and pair it with those Nicholas Kirkwood panelled suede heels for £318 and you have some killer accessories to jazz up any look. I also loved the classic dark-brown Chloé wedges, a bargain at £225, I think these will be an instant sell-out, as will the statement Oscar de la Renta resin and gold-tone floral necklace, £265.The-Outnet-5th-birthday-2

If I had to pick a look from the collection that I would love to wear I think it would have to be the Haizhen Wang black leather jacket, the shape at the back is gorgeous, teamed with the romantic floral-print silk-jacquard Jason Wu dress, paired with those stunning Nicholas Kirkwood heels, and the bold red Oscar de la Renta necklace. I would love to throw in the McQueen clutch but that might just be a little too much!!!

There were also a couple of great looks to wear to a summer wedding for an elegant affair why not try Roland Mouret’s sky-blue O’Hara dress, the colour and fit of this dress is perfection, I really love the folded neck detailing and exposed zip down the back. While a cool, hip wedding you could go for this fun printed silk and moiré pencil Preen by Thornton Bregazzi skirt, team with a white blouse or a crisp white T-shirt and bright accessories.

There are just so many options with this fabulous limited edition collection, but trust me don’t wait around long I think most of these pieces will be instant sell-outs.

Which The Outnet 5th Birthday collection pieces do you have your eye on?

Critics’ Choice Movie Awards: Amy Adams Wears Barbie Pink

Who: Amy Adams

Where: At the 19th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica

Wearing: A vibrant pink Roland Mouret ‘Tinea’ gown, featuring a draped neckline, from the pre-autumn/winter 2014 collection, teamed with a black grosgrain ribbon nipping in her waist and Neil Lane jewellery

Verdict: It is so nice to see such a vibrant colour on the red carpet, as well as Roland Mouret who just designs the most stunning of gowns and this one is exquisite. Called the ‘Tinea’, I love how sexy this dress is without being revealing, it has a touch of Old Hollywood about it with the draped neckline and streamlined silhouette, and I just adore how it falls of her shoulders.

I thought Amy looked stunning in Valentino Couture at the Golden Globes, I actually preferred the look complete with the cape, however this look for me is just utterly breathtaking and divine.

It it wasn’t for Lupita Nyong’o, Amy would have been my best dressed – I can’t wait to see what she does for the rest of the award season.

Are you a fan of Amy’s Barbie Pink gown?

BAFTA Awards: Jennifer Garner In Roland Mouret

BAFTA-j-garner-rolandmouretWho: Jennifer Garner

Where: At the 2013 EE British Academy Film Awards held at the Royal Opera House in London

Wearing: A monochrome Roland Mouret ‘Alava’ gown from the spring/summer 2013 collection, featuring an architectural peplum and sash, teamed with a Roger Vivier clutch, diamond drop earrings and a bracelet

Verdict: Wow, Jennifer Garner really has been a stylish wife during this award season supporting her hubbie Ben Affleck, who last night took home the Best Director and Best Film BAFTAs for his film Argo. I really have enjoyed her return to the red carpet and this exquisite, structured and sophisticated Roland Mouret gown looked incredible on her last night.

There were a lot of monochrome looks and this was by far my favourite, I love the architectural detailing around the waist, the sash really does clinched in her waist, and what I adore is that you wouldn’t even know it was cold and snowy as she doesn’t let it bother her one bit.

Finishing her amazing look was a gorgeous up-do, diamond jewellery and of her flawless make-up.

I seriously can’t wait to see her Oscar look!!!

BAFTA Awards: Jessica Chastain In Roland Mouret

Who: Jessica Chastain

Where: At the 2013 EE British Academy Film Awards held at the Royal Opera House in London

Wearing: A cobalt blue asymmetrical structured Roland Mouret column gown, with origami pleated draping detail to the bodice, teamed with Harry Winston earrings and bracelet

Verdict: There was a lot of black and monochrome styles last night from the likes of Anne Hathaway, SJP, Emila Fox, Gemma Arterton, Elizabeth Olsen, Jennifer Garner, Thandie Newton and Alicia Vikander, so when I spied a pop of colour on last night’s BAFTA red carpet I was overjoyed and one of my favourites had to be Jessica Chastain’s gorgeous Roland Mouret gown.

This dress fitted her perfectly, the blue was divine against her hair colour, and I loved that she added a red lippy – this was Hollywood glamour at its very best and I am so pleased that she braved the snowy conditions.

LFW SS12: The Winner Of Fashion Fringe 2011 Is Fyodor Golan!!

Wow, what a night I had last night, I got to see the amazing Fyodor Golan scoop the coveted Fashion Fringe prize, joining the likes of Basso & Brooke, Erdem, Jena.Theo and last year’s winner Corrie Nielsen, and oh did they deserve it. I had the pleasure of meeting all three finalists a couple of weeks ago and I really took a shine to the lovely Golan Frydman and Fyodor Podgorny, and even though on paper I think Nabil Nayal was seen as the favourite, these were the guys I was rooting for.

I had only seen a sneak peek at the collection before the night, but thanks to Fashion Fringe and Very, one of the night’s sponsors, I got to take a backstage tour *more on this in another post – coming soon* before the catwalk show. I was in awe at the detailing of not only of the clothing, which is exquisite but also the thought they had put into their models, running order and the fabulous make-up and styling of the collection.

First down the catwalk and was always the one to beat, everything from the dramatic styling of the hair coming over the models faces into chunky neck braces, to the impressive music, and most of all the show-stopping value of every single piece. The detailing in the texture, silhouette, and the vision; as the show was entitled ‘Flowers of Evil’ and was about the nymph’s painful metamorphosis they even used a more mature model, who strutted her stuff wonderfully.

My favourite dress of the night, which I loved backstage and looked even nicer on the catwalk was this white beauty, with mesh panelling and flower like embellishments, the detailing and the structure of the dress around the hips is just divine and the model looked amazing.

Another strong feature of the collection was the embellished spine detailing down the back of the dresses, I love this floor-skimming gown with its high neck collar and train.

Fyodor Golan with the gorgeous Claudia Schiffer and fellow judge Roland Moret and their Fashion Fringe trophy designed by Jessica McCormack.

It is hard to believe that Fyodor Golan only launched in 2010, they are such a creative design team that I they were such worthy winners, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them as it can be good!!!

Thanks again to Fashion Fringe and Very.co.uk for being such amazing hosts, I felt a very lucky girl to have front row seats to see such amazing designers showcase their collections.

I will also be posting the pics and reviews of Heidi Leung and Nabil Nayal, as well as the fun I had backstage, so do check back later.
