Festive Fun: Rebecca Minkoff’s Holiday Card

The festive season is all about adding a little fun and humour into the craziness of buying presents and eating your weight in chocolates and Rebecca Minkoff certainly has done that with her video holiday card.

Filmed to Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’, no I am not fed up of it either, Rebecca Minkoff has gathered her fashionable pals including The Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine, blogger Bryan Boy, and the gorgeous Hilary Rhoda to create a very fashionable greeting card.

What I love about this video other than its smile factor, has to be The Man Repeller’s amazing ‘Jews Do It For 8 Days’ sweatshirt – I totally need one!!!

Now crack out the yule log, grab a glass of eggnog and sing along to this adorable festive fashion video.

The Outnet Summer Style: How I Took Victoria Beckham & Rebecca Minkoff To A Festival

Yesterday I blogged the first of my three looks at The Outnet Summer Style session, well from daytime lunching we went to chic festival fashion, no muddy fields, no Wellington boots, just VIP all the way with tea cups, well that was the brief and I went all out on the right accessories for the job.

Like Olivia Palermo who wore a navy blue and black colour scheme to Christian Dior this week, I also like the combination of the two colours – so I paired a gorgeous, slightly too big for me, black A.L.C. washed-silk wrap-around maxi skirt with a sports-luxe mesh-sleeved jersey Marni top, but for me this look was all about my accessories.

Top of my list of accessories needs were sunglasses, you can’t go to a festival without them and I picked out the most gorgeous pair of Victoria Beckham shades, they had everything I wanted from the retro cat-eye style to the detachable chain – well I don’t want to lose them while dancing now do I!!!

I paired these beauties with one of my favourite clutches from New York designer Rebecca Minkoff, I just thought that my navy/black combination could do with a pop of colour and what better than leopard print, granted you can’t fit a lot in there for a festival but remember I was going to an imaginary VIP festival, and I just had to include Rebecca Minkoff as she is one of my favourite designers.

Finishing off my look were some touches of jewellery, I love the bright pink and blue Dannijo jewels, they worked perfectly with my three silver Philippe Audibert bracelets, and my Pamela Love ring. Plus my only sensible thing were my flat shoes, I really liked the bright blue flash from the Pour la Victoire’s ‘Edilia’ leather sandals.

Ella from Coco’s Tea Party looked adorable in her printed Thakoon top paired with her leather See by Chloé – if I had her figure and legs I would also have worked tiny shorts. I also loved Kate from I Am Not A Celebrity in neon pink and that gorgeous Pamela Love harness-style necklace.

Next up will be my eveningwear look, which is my favourite of the three, and you will also spot the Victoria Beckham shades and Rebecca Minkoff clutch making another cameo, I loved them so much I had to include them again.

So what do you think of my chic festival look? I really liked the semi-sheer maxi skirt, would have loved more if it had fitted me – I had to be bulldog clipped in so it didn’t fall down, but I do like the combination of the sporty tee with the more dressy maxi – but for me this look is all about the accessories.

Don’t forget that all the blogger looks are on sale at The Outnet.

Video Loving: ‘Call Me Maybe’ Becomes The New ‘Sexy And I Know It’???

I do love a good parody viral and it seemed that LMFAO’s ‘Sexy and I Know It’ was the one to do, even Tom Daley and his diving buddies did it, but now everyone from fashion designers to world leaders, to popstars Katy Perry and Justin Bieber, and even BBC Radio 1 DJs and New Look’s press team all want to know if you will ‘Call Me Maybe’.

Carly Rae Jepsen’s song kind of came out of no-where here in the UK but I can’t help but absolutely love it, and it seems so did everyone else as it was number one for weeks, well it seems the song is climbing up the charts in the US and has hit number 2 this week and I think it has been helped along by these fab videos.

The latest by one of my favourite fashion designers Rebecca Minkoff with model Hilary Rhoda and blogger Man Repeller is one of the best, what a cool way to get ready for a major award ceremony!!!

One of the firsts was from Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez and Ashley Tisdale.

Of course Katy Perry’s seems a little drunk…

It was hilarious seeing the New Look press team doing their rendition.

Grimmy from Radio 1 got some of his radio pals in on the act.

But one of the most creative spoofs has to be Obama singing the pop song, well when I say sing I mean a crazy, sorry dedicated fan pieced together snippets from dozens of Obama’s speeches.

But my all time favourite has to be the Cimorelli sisters – check out the clothes and those dance moves – hilarious!!!

So which one is your favourite?

Bag Lusting: Rebecca Minkoff – Studs, Zips and Tassels

I am a lover of handbags, I have one in every colour of the rainbow, and I am a big fan of New York-based clothing and accessories label, Rebecca Minkoff. A couple of weeks ago I went by Dust PR to check out the Rebecca Minkoff autumn/winter 2012 collection and I was blown away by all the gorgeous detailing in the studs, zips, tassels, pleating, chain straps, and embossed leathers.

The bag that stood out the most had to be this gorgeous red studded satchel, I love the girlie satchel style, I love that it still has the Rebecca Minkoff signature-style with the studded detailing, but best of all I adore that it isn’t something I would have expected from RM. I totally need it in my handbag collection.

For autumn/winter there seems to be lots of splashes of colour with vibrant reds, girlie pinks, cobalt blue, yellows, and orange hues, as well as classic black, and luxurious snake-skin patterns. I also loved the variety, from large totes and my favourite original Morning After Bag, to adorable purses with ‘Allowance’ and ‘Benjamin’ slogans on, envelope zip handbags that come in different colour schemes, and cute cross-body box bags.

I am a lucky girl with two Rebecca Minkoff’s in my collection, but after seeing these gorgeous pieces that I have already virtually added another five or six!!!

LFW Day 3: My Style – Kate Mouse Hits Fashion Week

I can’t believe it is Sunday already, this has been one of the busiest London Fashion Weeks for me and I am so happy as I do love the buzz of a catwalk show and all the drama and socialising that goes with it. Whereas Saturday is official being re-named ‘the day that rains’, today the sun is shining, which means I could finally get my sunglasses out.

Quiet day for me today, I have a number of shows in but I have only done one, the Prophetic show at Vauxhall Fashion Scout, so I can catch up on editing my images and bringing you all the news from the first two days, seriously I have a lot of stuff to share, and generally taking a breather before the madness that is my Monday schedule.

Today’s look is kind of casual, mainly because I was only around for a few hours, but also one of my favourite looks so far. I do love a good maxi skirt and this is one of my most comfortable and surprisingly long enough ones from New Look; I paired it with my Simeon Farrar t-shirt, Long Tall Sally leather jacket, and finishing off the look is my Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Bag.

My Style Details:

You know I love t-shirts, well my Simeon Farrar printed Kate Mouse tee is fast becoming one of my favourites and most versatile pieces, I really just love it and couldn’t resist working it to fashion week.

Fashion week wouldn’t be complete without getting out my trust blue Rebecca Minkoff, this bag is one of my all time favs not only is it a great colour to add a pop to my mainly black wardrobe, but it is also an ideal size for all my belongings. Today I have paired my RM with my new zebra printed New Look scarf, I was wearing to keep the chill off but I love attaching scarves to bags and I thought this worked well.

Finishing off my look today are my Calvin Klein sunglasses, when it comes to dark frames I am more of a dark brown than black type of gal and these are my wear anywhere and everywhere glasses. LFW really does look better in the sun!!!

**Thanks to good pal Bumpkin Betty for taking my snaps – if you haven’t already seen her website you really are missing out**

Gift Guide: For Bag Lovers

For my second gift guide I have decided to make it all about bags, basically because I adore handbags and these nine beauties are my favourite picks at the moment. Whether you are buying yourself a festive treat or you need to hint big time at your loved ones – these bags will make perfect gifts.

1. Rebecca Minkoff, Circle Quilt Casanova, $395, Rebeccaminkoff.com – I am a huge RM fan and I am lucky enough to have two of her bags, and on my regular scout of her site I saw this chic-yet-edgy quilted leather bag. Worried about postage? Well don’t as RM offers free delivery on orders over $300.

2. Osprey London, The Zambezi, £295, Ospreylondon.com – A great British brand and I love this jaguar-print cross body bag, for me this bag is all about that gorgeous vintage-inspired shape.

3. Tamzin Lillywhite, Boreas Back Pack£420 – a new brand to me, but with beauties like this I can soon imagine that Tamzin is going to become one of my favourite designers; also back packs are having a bit of a fashion revival so this sleek one is perfection.

4. Lollipops, Lascar Doobie, £69, lollipopsparis.co.uk – this is a cute bag, seriously what’s not to love about this wooly reindeer bucket-style bag?

5. Lulu Guinness Red Swarovski Crystallized Lips Clutch, £650, luluguinness.com – wouldn’t be a Christmas wish list without some festive LG lips now would it!!! I adore this iconic clutch – each year I keep my fingers cross that one appears under the Christmas tree.

6. Marc Jacobs, Lindy, £620, Harrods.com – the Lindy family of bags is new for autumn/winter 2011 and I just love this quilted shoulder bag, with its bow and stud detailing to the front, also this beauty would work during the day as well as night.

7. Mulberry Alexa Camera Bag, £650, Johnlewis.com – this bag has a 70s vibe about it and as with all Mulberry bags – think of this as an investment!!

8. Karen Millen, Crystal Clutch, £295, Selfridges – this seasonal sparkle is exclusive to Selfridges and the crystal-encrusted detailing and wristlet makes it a perfect party bag.

9. Bag Snob for DKNY, The Clutch, £175, Net-a-Porter.com – got to support blogger collaborations, especially when they are this good from Bag Snob founders Tina Craig and Kelly Cook who have designed an essential clutch. I just love this sequined leather number – a perfect evening choice.
