Cover Loving: Rachel Bilson In Proenza Schouler

Granted this cover is a reprint of an American InStyle Makeover issue from last year, which I can’t even believe that I miss, but as I missed maybe some of you guys did as well so I thought it best to share InStyle Australia’s latest issue with the gorgeous Rachel Bilson on the cover.

Not only am I so pleased to see Rachel back on TV, well come April 30 she will be on Really as Dr Zoe Hart in a show from the creators of Gossip Girl called Hart of Dixie, which I can guarantee will be my new favourite TV show in seconds. But I am also loving that she is wearing the matching kaleidoscopic top and skirt from Proenza Schouler that I completely adore and it is interest to see that the shoot was all styled by Brad Goreski, great work as she look fantastic.

Anyone else loving this cover and excited to see Rachel’s new show? I have been teased by the trailers on Really for weeks so I am glad that the UK premiere is nearly here.

Cover Loving: Megan Fox Ladylike For Jalouse

It is fair to say that Megan Fox is generally sporting lingerie or a bikini in most of her magazine covers, I don’t think I have ever seen her look so ladylike before, and I thank Jalouse for making my day. Jalouse is one of my favourite French magazines their editorial spreads are so impressive and creative and I am excited about the April issue after seeing these snaps of Megan Fox taken by Alexei Hay.

I am not saying that I love everything about the cover, the rubber gloves are creeping me out slightly, but what I do love is the ladylike Emporio Armani jacket, the sky blue colour is gorgeous against her skintone, as well as the Philip Treacy hat, the side braid, and those gorgeous Harry Winston and Bulgari jewels. Seriously chic styling, oh and her face is flawless.

The rest of the editorial is just as amazing, I love the old school Hollywood styling, the glam make-up, the tears, the crazy amount of hats, the lashings of jewels, and it has made me realise how much I have been missing Megan!!!

I am loving Megan Fox as a mannequin doll in this shot – such great styling this Proenza Schouler dress is divine.

I adore this Salvatore Ferragamo striped tuxedo jacket from the spring/summer 2012 collection Spring 2012.

Shop Her Style: Nicole Richie Casual In Proenza Schouler

Who: Nicole Richie

Where: In New York City promoting her new TV show, Fashion Star, which I am so hoping comes to the UK

Wearing: A mint coloured knitted zebra-print Proenza Schouler jumper from the spring/summer 2012 collection, paired with classic black skinny jeans, House of Harlow 1960 tan coloured heels and shoulder bag, as well as her signature oversized sunglasses

Verdict: I seriously love Nicole Richie’s casual vibe, she really does ooze style no matter what she is wearing, on paper this is just jeans and a jumper, but I am in love with this Proenza Schouler jumper mainly because it isn’t leopard print I much prefer zebra stripes than spots. I also adore the mint pastel shade, pastel shades are everywhere for spring/summer and this light green is one of my favourite shades after dusky pink of course!!!

As well as the jumper this look is complemented by fab accessories from her own fashion label – I love the tan shoes with the black and mint, I wouldn’t have thought this would work but it does.

Buy Her Style: Her zebra-printed Proenza Schouler is divine and on sale at Net-a-Porter for £380, where they pair it with a pleated leather skirt, but I am loving the jumper-jeans combo so I have also picked out my fav black designer skinnies below.

OMG Why!: Is This The Worst Fashion Film Ever?

I love fashion films, I love something a little different, and I rave about things that blur the boundaries between fashion and art, but come on Proenza Schouler what were you thinking?

Maybe, it is just me but I seriously don’t get this film by Harmony Korine, it is just seriously creepy and pervy for me.

Entitled Snowballs, this short promo features the autumn/winter 2011 collection, and was shot in a trailer park featuring two models playing costume, while seeming a little high. I don’t know about you but it has a David Lynch kind of feel to it, and I certainly don’t write that in a good way.

I get that given the range was inspired by a 10-day road trip through the Southwest that there would be Navajo and Native American influences, but come on did it really need models wearing very creepy silicone masks and Native American headdresses dancing around?? Oh and don’t even get me started about the pervy old man. I am seriously feeling gross after watching this.

This promo was screened at a fancy party in Paris, imagine being there and witnessing this film in front of the designers, I wouldn’t know where to look. I get that they’ve gone for something a little avant-garde, well a lot actually, but I want to know who told them that a crystal meth trailer park would be a chic location?

Please I need your views – what do you think of this film?
