LFW Day 4: My Style – A Little Bit Prim and A Lot Proper

I am not sure why I am looking super grumpy in this piccie, maybe it was the chilly breeze outside the Topshop venue, but I am actually having one of my best London Fashion Weeks in a long time. Today was a very cool day as I got my first ever invites to the Pringle of Scotland and Michael Van Der Ham shows, which were amazing  – one had Olivia Palermo front row and the other one fed and quenched my first before the show – all will be revealed in my show reports.

I am a lover of cardigans, maybe it is because I am always cold, and I do mean always, and this chunky knit one from New Look is a perfect pastel shade for spring, but also a great length. I paired it with my knitted J by Jasper Conran dress, which has the cutest sleeves that I totally forgot to shoot, and to add some more colour to my look I added my favourite rose clasped Dorothy Perkins belt – I know I am crazy for the high street!!!

My Style Details:

Finishing off my look was this quirky Wired Jewellery chalk-board ring, which came supplied with chalk so I could change up my look. I have to admit it is a little difficult to write in chalk – I have been trying all week to do #LFW, but in the end today I settled for a love heart as cute really suited this look.

**Thanks to Abi for taking my pic, holding all my layers, and generally being a fab pal.**

LFW Day 2: My Style – Added Barbie Charms!!!

Day 2 at London Fashion Week for me was all about the excitement of Barbie, as I blogged earlier this week my favourite doll is teaming up with Sister by Sibling as their model for their autumn/winter collection, so I thought in honour of her my outfit need to be a little Barbie-lious and it all started with my Barbie necklace and Thomas Sabo Barbie charm.

Been another hectic day, taking in shows from Daks, Elisa Palamino, Sister by Sibling, John Rocha, a cute presentation from Markus Lupfer, as well as seeing my friends over at Fashion Fringe for a presentation for former finalists Nabil Nayal and Alice Palmer at one of the most fantastic hotels the Corinthia, which Rihanna apparently was staying in.

Today, as always it seems on the Saturday at London Fashion Week was the day it rained, which always puts a dampen on things, mind the pun, and makes it harder to go to shows at different venues and I have to admit taking shelter at Markus Lupfer’s presentation wasn’t all bad!!!

My Style Details:

This wool blend skirt with pleated detail to the front and very Gucci-inspired block colours was a bargain at Primark, costing me just £5 in the sale. I love the pop of colours against the black, and the fit was perfection. I paired this skirt with my black Jaeger Boutique jumper, which has star cut outs, I got this in the sale a few seasons ago and recently found it in my closet and have fallen in love with it again. Today was very cold and the sleeveless top I was going to wear just wasn’t going to cut it.

Finishing off my look today was once again my Osprey London bag and Russell & Bromley brogues, I know bad blogger wearing something more than once, but hey the bag is perfection and I didn’t have time to change over all my stuff and I couldn’t be bothered to wear heels.

Finally pieces of my look were dedicated to Barbie – wearing her signature necklace that I picked up off Etsy at the start of the year, and my Thomas Sabo Barbie silhouette charm.

**Sorry for the poor pictures – with the rain meant no outdoor shots and the light at home is obviously terrible**

LFW Day 1: My Style – An Oversized Bow and Bag

Today has been a hectic day at London Fashion Week, started with my first show at 9am at Somerset House for Antoni & Alison’s return to the catwalk – followed by some gorgeous displays from past, former and current Fashion Fringe winner’s Jena.Theo, Fyodor Golan, and a great front row spot at Corrie Nielsen; as well as a magnificent display from the Bora Aksu army of models; beautiful tailored draping from Maria Grachvogel; a gorgeous collection from Jean-Pierre Braganza; and prints galore from Basso & Brooke. I promise more detailed show reports with pictures, I did however take more than 500 shots yesterday so please bare with me, but there were some amazing sights.

This fashion week I am also making a conscious effort to do style posts everyday and I am starting with a look that I thought was cute and centred around an oversized bow and bag. The bow formed part of my new River Island light pink tee, I just adore this chiffon bow, super cute and got lots of great comments. I paired my tee with a flirty skater skirt from New Look, a light pink belt from Forever 21 with laser-cut star detailing, and my trust Russell & Bromley patent brogues – I know flats on the first day, but they looked so cute with this outfit.

To finish off my look I carried my new vibrant red leather Osprey London bug bag that the brand sent me for Christmas, love the colour, love the size, I just love it!!!!

My Style Details:

I love this bow.

Stars do belong at LFW!!!

This bag is the perfect LFW bag – fits my camera, make-up, purse, spare camera, phone, sweeties, schedule, tickets, you name it there is room in this bag for it. I can also fit my laptop in it as well but I left it home today.

Well every outfit needs a little shine now doesn’t it!!!

**Thanks to Abi and Ella for talking my picture, now if only I could utilise all those hours of watching America’s Next Top Model to my advantage**

In Pictures: Osprey Home A Vintage Treasure Trove

I’ve raved about the bags and accessories at Osprey London and how adorable their Christmas ornaments are, but I nearly forgot to share my trip to Osprey Home set in a group of old stable and milking blocks in the scenic countryside of Hertfordshire.

This is more than just a home interiors store it is more like a curiosity shop filled full of hand-selected vintage-inspired finds by the brand’s founder and creative director Graeme Ellisdon and it feels more like a home than a retail store when walking around it.

I fell in love with all the beautifully hand-crafted furniture, the exquisite textiles, and my favourite piece had to be this gorgeous driftwood horse head sculpture.

As well as a lifestyle store there is an outlet store for the gorgeous bags and the most adorable cafe, Saddlery Cafe, where all the teas come in gorgeous bone china tea cups and they have the most delicious muffins.

Christmas: Tres Chic Baubles From Osprey London

Christmas is one of my favourite times of year, I love the sparkle of the lights, the cheesy Christmas family films, and most of all I love the colours of variations of the decorations.

Every year I love deciding on my colour scheme, sorting through my mountains of baubles and decorations in the loft, and best of all I love adding to my collection with new pieces. Sometimes I go for quirky, sometimes I go for classic, and sometimes I just fall in love with their beauty. That is what happened when I saw these gorgeous hand-crafted papier-mâché baubles at Osprey London.

Available only from any of the Osprey London outlets, you get four decorations for £15, which come in a black presentation box for easy storage when the Christmas glee is over. I went for the multi-coloured baubles as you can choose your own, but dependant on what your colour scheme is you can either go for black/gold or silver/gold varieties.

The brand have also launched an alternative to the traditional Christmas tree with this washed teak variety. Cute right? It comes in two sizes – large is £265 and small is £125, a little pricey but will last you a lifetime. Available only from Osprey Home in St Albans.

Osprey Home, The Saddlery, Woodcock Hill, Coopers Green Lane, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL4 9HJ.
