Giffoni Film Festival: Dianna Agron In Prada and Glittery Miu Miu Shades

Who: Glee star Dianna Agron

Where: At the 2012 Giffoni Film Festival in Giffoni Valle Piana, Italy

Wearing: A printed Prada dress from the spring/summer 2012 collection, Miu Miu Noir glittery sunglasses, and thong flats with red stones finished off her look

Verdict: So, now I know why Miss Dianna wasn’t at the Teen Choice Awards as she was enjoying the sunshine in Italy. At first glance I was worried that it was a little too relaxed for a film festival, I was thinking about the glamour of say Cannes, but I think she actually pulled this cute dress off really well – the bold print was a great touch.

But what draws my attention the most with this look has to be those incredible red glittery cat-eye shades, I seriously swooned when I saw them on her. I am a sunglasses addict and I am in love with these beauties.

What makes this even more perfect has to be the fact that they available on Net-a-Porter, so if you want to recreate Dianna’s look during our mini heatwave you can snap them up, granted they are £225, tad pricey, but just think how pretty they will look!!! Pairing with a bold printed dress is optional – but it works rather well.

Do you love Dianna’s look or do you wish she had gone a more glam? And tell me what you think of the Miu Miu shades – will you be snapping them up?

Shop Her Style: Nicole Richie Casual In Proenza Schouler

Who: Nicole Richie

Where: In New York City promoting her new TV show, Fashion Star, which I am so hoping comes to the UK

Wearing: A mint coloured knitted zebra-print Proenza Schouler jumper from the spring/summer 2012 collection, paired with classic black skinny jeans, House of Harlow 1960 tan coloured heels and shoulder bag, as well as her signature oversized sunglasses

Verdict: I seriously love Nicole Richie’s casual vibe, she really does ooze style no matter what she is wearing, on paper this is just jeans and a jumper, but I am in love with this Proenza Schouler jumper mainly because it isn’t leopard print I much prefer zebra stripes than spots. I also adore the mint pastel shade, pastel shades are everywhere for spring/summer and this light green is one of my favourite shades after dusky pink of course!!!

As well as the jumper this look is complemented by fab accessories from her own fashion label – I love the tan shoes with the black and mint, I wouldn’t have thought this would work but it does.

Buy Her Style: Her zebra-printed Proenza Schouler is divine and on sale at Net-a-Porter for £380, where they pair it with a pleated leather skirt, but I am loving the jumper-jeans combo so I have also picked out my fav black designer skinnies below.

Hot Picks: These Boots Are Made For Walking

I am a boot hoarder, I think when it comes to footwear I fall head over heels for boots more than any other style, so I thought it only right to share my love with everyone. I have put together my top eight boots that I am lusting over at the moment, quite a mixture of funky, practical and my favourites being super comfie!!

1. Mou Eskimo suede boots, £280, Net-a-Porter

I have recently been introduced to this amazing brand, full blog post to come soon I promise, and these anthracite suede boots will keep your warm this winter with their sheepskin lining. I also love the contrasting stitching. The most expensive of my picks but definitely worth the investment.

2. EMU Australia Illura boots, £250, EMU Australia

I have been an EMU Australia convert for many years now, what I love about this mid-calf style other than the gorgeous mushroom colour has to be the belt and sheepskin detailing, which allows the style to be worn up or folded down. As well as it being stylish, unlike other sheepskin boots EMU are water-resistant.

3. Dr Martens Aries boots, £200, Dr Marten

A re-working of the 1460 classic in a beautiful grey suede leather boot that is lined with wool shearling. I know, you get the edgy vibe of wearing Dr Martens, while still staying toasty warm. LOVE!!

4. Cheryl Cole for StylistPick T.L.C boots, £79.90, StylistPick

Just launched this week Chezza’s debut footwear collection is something special and one of my favourites has to be these slouchy ankle boots with faux sheepskin lining and a duffle toggle.

5. Red or Dead Celeste boots, £130, Schuh

One of my favourite features is Shop Her Style, so I thought only fitting to include a boot that has recently been picked up by a celebrity and these boots were bought by Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson. These work as both practical come on who doesn’t need a pair of black knee-high boots, and also fashionable with its vintage detailing of the stacked heel and leather tassels.

6. Medwinds Niza Knee Highs, £110, Medwinds

Classic knee highs never go out of fashion and these are beauties, I especially love the contrasting stacked heel and the price – such great value.

7. Aldo Barrarito, £200, Aldo

Want a designer boot at a more affordable price? Well the Christian Cota for Aldo collection is edgy and fashionable. My favourite has to be these knee-high leather boots, which do double duty as a trendy urban boots. As well as having a soft and cosy shearling lining – they also have a removable ankle cover – but that is the best bit for me. They also come in black but I just loved the brown.

8. Senso Jay Glitter Boot, £145, Doll Boutique

I couldn’t do a my top boots without including a glittery number or without one of my favourite Australian brands. I think these are perfect for the festive season, while still being comfortable as they only have a mid heel – also the harness feature I think allows these to be worn during the day as well.

Which one is your favourite?

Festive Wear: Net-a-Porter Christmas Jumpers

Novelty jumpers are having a bit of a moment lately, whether it is an animal motif or an eighties-style clash print it seems that knits with personality are back and what better time to take part than Christmas.

Not keen on the naff jumper than your Gran kindly knitted you last Chrimbo, well why not check out Net-a-Porter’s exclusive holiday sweaters designed by the likes of Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs, Philip Lim, and Moschino.

Here are my fab four:

1. Moschino, £810 – this is one super cute penguin wool sweater, pricey granted but this beauty has definitely gone to the top of my list to Santa!!

2. Markus Lupfer, £300 – can’t go wrong with a classic reindeer jumper even better when the reindeer are sequined.

3. Aubin & Wills, £165 – I love this ski print woolly jumper, and the best bit is comes with a matching hat and mittens.

4. 3.1 Philip Lim, £345 – I know two reindeer designs in one list but I couldn’t resist this merino wool jumper with its asymmetric folded hem.

So how do you feel Christmas jumpers – naff or cool?

Birthday Wishlist: Christopher Kane Neon Lace Clutch

Each day this week I am putting together my ultimate birthday wishlist, full of all those beauties that I am currently lusting over. I am not saying that I will receive any of these goodies, just that they would make for the ultimate birthday gifts, and these Christopher Kane laser-cut leather clutch in highlighter shades are the ultimate in luxe.

My favourite shade has to be the neon pink, not only for its Barbie references but hey the pop of colour will look amazing among my largely black wardrobe!!!

The four fluorescent clutches are exclusive to Net-a-Porter and as well as pink they come in orange, yellow and green, priced at £295.

I just love the cute wristlet zip pull and the floral laser-cut detailing. I am already praying to the shopping gods that one of these beauties makes its way to me by Thursday!!
