My Style: Boyfriend Jeans & A Lobster Knit

As you know by now I love a statement knit, whether it is a flash of neon pink or yellow, or a wolf or tiger, I love how you can dress them up and down, and at the weekend I took my Nowhere Lobster knit from Nelly.com that I picked up at the The Apartment LFW Dress Up event out for a test run.

With my Mum down for the weekend we decided to do touristy things around London, things we hadn’t done in years or never done before, and on Friday we hit one of my favourite places the National Gallery. I love this place for many reasons – the architecture is just exquisite, each time I visit I dream of one day having a gorgeous mosaic floor, and I can’t get enough of the Claude-Oscar Monet, John Constable and Joseph Turner paintings.

As it was a day of walking, relaxing, and having fun, but gloomy and grey, I opted for comfort, warmth as well as style with my new favourite jeans, my sexy boyfriend jeans that I picked up from Gap for London Fashion Week. Since I got such lovely comments at fashion week over my style posts I thought I would keep on working these beauties and I just love how comfortable they are but also how versatile they are that they can be smart as well as casual.

This look is kind of in-between smart and casual, kind of dressed up with the coat, but once off it has the dressed-down feel of a tourist day out that I was after. I just love the moody burgundy colour of the lobster knit against the black and grey coat and the denim.

Shopping: The Print Overload Edition

One of the biggest trends this summer has to be prints, whether it is the retro car print inspired by Prada, or the scarf trend seen on the catwalks at D&G, or even a splash of florals, zig-zags, animal or tribal prints, there are colourful prints for everyone this season.

How you wear it is totally up to you, be bold and work your print head-to-toe as seen as Proenza Schouler, or just go for a little print magic by working printed trousers with a pastel or white tee, or do it the other way round and wear a bold printed luxe t-shirt with skinny jeans. Or why not go for an extra dose of prints by following Sportsmax’s approach and go for clashing prints – trust me, not for the faint-hearted!!!

Want to try the trend? Well here are a few of my favourite picks:

My Style: My Green Chinos Took A Trip To The Beach

At the weekend I went on a 24-hour whirl wind trip to Bournemouth and thankfully the sun came out so I spent most of the time outside. On Sunday it felt only right before driving home that we went for breakfast on the beach and a walk down the seafront and it was glorious, so finding an outfit in my overnight back to do this justice was hard but then I remembered that I packed my new teal green chinos from River Island.

I know everyone is going crazy for coloured jeans but if you are after something a little more comfortable and flattering I would totally recommend going for a darker shade of chinos, the ones from River Island are perfect I love the colour but also the cute turn-ups, and best of all they were only £30. This style also comes in a bright blue and red, which I just noticed was in the sale so I might have to pick those bad boys up when I go shopping later!!!

I decided to keep the summery theme going with my green and blue Rut m.fl. jumper that I picked up from Nelly.com, what I love about this sweater other than the fab colours and the oversized shaped is that it is from a brand I had never heard off, one of the many selling points of Nelly.com. Rut m.fl. is a Swedish brand that is just so on trend and such great value for money, sadly this beauty isn’t online any more at Nelly but trust me check out this brand.

The perfect shoe to go with this look had to be my floral pumps that I also got from Nelly.com these were bargains as they were less than a tenner, which is probably why they are sold out, I love the floral pattern but more than that they are so comfortable. What made them even better is my boyfriend said they were interesting, code for he hated them, but I thought they were cute!!!

Finishing off my look is this gorgeous brown leather weave cross body bag from River Island, as soon as I saw it in the store I loved all the studs, add in the real leather and the ample size inside and it makes the perfect weekend bag.

My Style: Green teal chinos, River Island (c/o); Rut m.fl. jumper, via Nelly.com (c/o); floral pumps, Nelly.com (c/o); Leather bag, River Island (c/o); Calvin Klein sunglasses; Barbie necklace; and pink Casio watch.

Shopping: Nelly Launches Into The UK

Tonight I was invited to an exclusive bloggers preview of new brand Nelly.com, which is launching in the UK, and the best way I can think of describing it is as a Scandinavian ASOS with some very cool brands and a kick-arse selection of shoes. It was like being at a candy shop, we were given a card and asked to select our top three pieces of clothing and top three shoes and will be sent one of each at a later date, this meant a lot of indecisive  action from me as there was so many gorgeous pieces.

I will blog more about what the website has to offer, what I loved, and what I need in my wardrobe in a couple of days as now I just want to go to bed, but trust me Nelly.com is going to become one of your new fav shopping sites!!!
