Oscars 2015: Jennifer Lopez In Elie Saab

Oscars 2015: Jennifer Lopez In Elie Saab

Who: Jennifer Lopez

Where: At the 87th Annual Academy Awards held at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, California

Wearing: A blush tulle belted Elie Saab ballgown, embroidered with pearls, stones and sequins, with a plunging neckline, teamed with $2.5 millions worth of Neil Lane diamond and platinum jewellery

Verdict: I have a serious girl crush on Jennifer Lopez and it is for moments like this, she really knows how to work the red carpet, make a statement, while still being true to herself, and I love that on this occasion she surprised me with this princess moment in this gorgeous Elie Saab gown but still brought the sexy that we expect from her.

I think for some there might be a little too much boob on show, but come have you seen them, pretty perfect if you ask me, and if you have them why not flaunt them!!!

As well as loving the dramatic gown, which looked even more beautiful when she took to the stage to present, I also adore her make-up and that high ponytail.

Simply stunning.

Oscars 2014: Best Dressed – Jennifer Lawrence In Dior

Oscars-dior-Jennifer-lawrence

Who: Jennifer Lawrence

Where: At the 86th Academy Awards held in Los Angeles, California

Wearing: A strapless red wool crepe Dior Haute Couture dress, teamed with Neil Lane jewellery, black Brian Atwood shoes, and a Ferragamo clutch

Verdict: Jennifer Lawrence and her blonde pixie cut really is growing on me especially paired with this gorgeous red couture gown. No surprise that the actress wore Dior but I can’t have been the only one hoping for a miracle – no matter how gorgeous this statuesque dress is.

What I love most about this look, other than the peplum detailing, has to be the sparkling Neil Lane diamonds that she is wearing, which were reportedly worth $3 million. The necklace alone was a staggering $2 million due to its 100 carats of diamonds. What are your thoughts on the repeated necklace down the back? She did this last year to great effect but this year I’m not too sure.

One thing is for sure her hair and make-up was flawless and she was once again on great form on the red carpet and during the ceremony. Oh and if you missed her clumsy red carpet moment – see below – this is just another reason I want her to be my BFF. Plus all the haters out there saying she did it for attention – really – come off it.

Critics’ Choice Movie Awards: Amy Adams Wears Barbie Pink

Who: Amy Adams

Where: At the 19th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica

Wearing: A vibrant pink Roland Mouret ‘Tinea’ gown, featuring a draped neckline, from the pre-autumn/winter 2014 collection, teamed with a black grosgrain ribbon nipping in her waist and Neil Lane jewellery

Verdict: It is so nice to see such a vibrant colour on the red carpet, as well as Roland Mouret who just designs the most stunning of gowns and this one is exquisite. Called the ‘Tinea’, I love how sexy this dress is without being revealing, it has a touch of Old Hollywood about it with the draped neckline and streamlined silhouette, and I just adore how it falls of her shoulders.

I thought Amy looked stunning in Valentino Couture at the Golden Globes, I actually preferred the look complete with the cape, however this look for me is just utterly breathtaking and divine.

It it wasn’t for Lupita Nyong’o, Amy would have been my best dressed – I can’t wait to see what she does for the rest of the award season.

Oscars 2013: Zoe Saldana In Alexis Mabille Couture

Oscars-zoe-saldana

Who: Zoe Saldana

Where: At the 85th Annual Academy awards held in Los Angeles

Wearing: An off-white strapless Alexis Mabille Couture belted gown featuring an embellished floral appliqué bustier and a layered grey and black train from the spring/summer 2013 collection, teamed with black velvet Roger Vivier Smoking sandals and Neil Lane jewellery

Verdict: Wow, wow, wow. What a gown!!! Sometimes you expect greatness and wow moments from nominee actresses but I suppose there is less pressure on guests and presenters and Zoe Saldana blew me away with her interesting couture gown designed by French designer Alexis Mabille.

Zoe has this ability, similar to Diane Kruger to work something very fashion-forward and make it look effortless and she really shined last night on the red carpet.

What makes this look for me has to be the incredible detailing with the floral appliqués around the neckline, in pictures it looks divine, on TV it looked sensational.
