Wearing: An off-white strapless Alexis Mabille Couture belted gown featuring an embellished floral appliqué bustier and a layered grey and black train from the spring/summer 2013 collection, teamed with black velvet Roger Vivier Smoking sandals and Neil Lane jewellery

Verdict: Wow, wow, wow. What a gown!!! Sometimes you expect greatness and wow moments from nominee actresses but I suppose there is less pressure on guests and presenters and Zoe Saldana blew me away with her interesting couture gown designed by French designer Alexis Mabille.

Zoe has this ability, similar to Diane Kruger to work something very fashion-forward and make it look effortless and she really shined last night on the red carpet.

What makes this look for me has to be the incredible detailing with the floral appliqués around the neckline, in pictures it looks divine, on TV it looked sensational.

Wearing: A custom strapless plum Gucci gown, featuring cascading ruffles down her back leading into a train, teamed with $2.5 million worth of Neil Jane jewellery, which included a statement necklace, delicate earrings and a bracelet, and a gunmetal Roger Vivier Boite de Nuit clutch

Verdict: Jennifer Garner really has had a great award season supporting her hubbie Ben Affleck and this is one of my favourite looks and it is all down to the amazing plum colour, which looks incredible against her pale skintone.

This look has everything the Oscars deserves, dramatic ruffles down her back, a sophisticated train, a striking colour – oh and then she takes it to the next level with the glamour that incredible Neil Lane diamond necklace oozes.

I just can’t help but adore this look!!!

Where: At the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California

Wearing: A sleek Barbie pink Elie Saab gown featuring subtle sheer-lace cut-outs from the ready-to-wear spring/summer 2013 collection, teamed with a thin belt, Neil Lane jewels, a bejewelled Judith Lieber box clutch, and Jimmy Choo heels

Verdict: I love it when young actresses shine on the red carpet, I love it even more when they wear bright colours, and I am super pleased when it is Elie Saab!!! Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev was my best dressed last night at the SAG Awards as she looked absolutely incredible in this simple-yet-chic Elie Saab gown.

I was trying to pin down why I loved it so much, of course the Barbie pink shade was always going to get my vote, but even though I love a Princess dress I really love that this has a sporty vibe with the t-shirt sleeves, and I just couldn’t shake how much it kind of reminded me of the simple Calvin Klein dress that Jennifer Lawrence wore to the Oscars in 2011.

But what this look has is the touch of sexy glamour with the sheer lace cut-outs and the sparkly box clutch and those gorgeous Neil Lane drop earrings. This minimalistic gown teamed with sparkling accessories was the perfect combination to add to Nina’s natural beauty and incredible body – this look is when the dress + styling + star work perfectly together and I love it.

Verdict: Sofia is known for her body-hugging gowns and even though this look is a little predictable from her, I also love that she knows what works for her body.

This is one sexy gown, I love the open back, the jewel tone looks stunning against her skin tone and tumbling locks, and Sofia is always the one to bring the bling to the red carpet and Neil Lane decked her out beautifully.

Wearing: A nude-coloured embroidered Elie Saab Haute Couture dress from the spring 2012 collection, with a delicate, bow belt and full skirt, teamed with nude YSL heels and Neil Lane jewels

Verdict: Wow, wow, wow!!! Refined elegance really does suit Megan Fox, I love this sparkly Elie Saab gown on her, not only is it super flattering, the colour works perfectly with her gorgeous wavy dark brown hair – old Hollywood glamour at its very best. Don’t get me wrong I love it when Megan gives Angelina Jolie a run for her money with sultry, thigh-high splits, but this is a great girlie look on her and I love it.

Elie Saab is the master of elegance, glamour and sparkles and this prom dress is perfection that I wouldn’t have thought Megan would have gone for but I am glad that she did. The one thing I would change though has to be the chunky heels, nude works fine but I would have gone for strappy rather than platform pumps or maybe a peep-toe – these YSL are just a little heavy for this elegant look.

As well as a refined dress, it seems Megan took it down a notch on her make-up, which I was pleased to see – I loved her smoky eye paired with a nude lips – this look really did show of her immense beauty.

Wearing: A strapless black velvet Atelier Versace gown with thigh-high split, teamed with black peep-toe heels and accessorised with $2.5 million of Neil Lane diamond and platinum jewellery

Verdict: There are a few things that Angie loves – black, a thigh-high split, oh and Versace, and even though this look didn’t surprise me it certainly didn’t make it any less beautiful and I have to admit I loved the velvet texture of this gown. As with the Golden Globes, this is another knock-out gown, I just wanted more – I know I am asking for the earth – but with Angie’s beauty she really can work any look.

Versace designed her an exquisite gown set to her very tailored specifications I am sure, but it is just a little safe for the Oscars, I think I would have swapped the Golden Globes and this outfit around. I literally only saw this for a second on TV and I am interested to know how it moves – but I am certain that this will be on most people’s best dressed list it certainly is on mine!!!
