Window Displays: The Mulberry Zoo

Everytime I see a new window at Mulberry’s New Bond Street store I stand and stare, seriously insane visual merchandising, which instantly adds a smile to my face.

We all know this a cool brand from its incredible fashion week presentations, the stunning ad campaigns, the fact that it names its bags after the fashionable popular girls, and the amazing parties they seem to throw, and what I love is that the brand ethos seems to trickle down into every section of the business and this is certain evident in their zoo themed window display at the moment.

Coachella Festival: Mulberry Hosts A-List Barbecue

If like me you’ve been slightly avoiding some tweeters this weekend so not to see how much fun they are having at the Coachella Festival then I warn you look away now, as pictures from Mulberry’s barbecue and pool party hit my inbox over night and it looked amazing.

Yesterday the brand’s Creative Director Emma Hill and her giant monsters took over the Gene Autry House pool at The Parker hotel, in Palm Springs, and hosted a little R&R for some of its a-list pals and referenced the brand’s autumn/winter 2012 collection of mysterious monsters to create the perfect setting of sunbeds featuring the Mulberry monster fur print towels, monster cushions, and even giant monster lilos to relax in the pool.

Basically, the Mulberry monster invaded Coachella and served up BBQ kebabs and  lemonade popsicles to the likes of Emma Watson, Lily Collins and Kate Bosworth, and if that wasn’t enough they even got to wear prieces from the brand’s spring/summer and autumn/winter 2012 collections – think lots of animal prints, studs, and tassels.

Who: Emma Watson

Wearing: A Mulberry fuzzy tiger playsuit from the autumn/winter 2012 collection, teamed with a  black cardigan, belt, floppy hat, a Mulberry Mini Lily with Tassels in Oak from also from the autumn/winter 2012 collection, and gladiator-style flats

Verdict: This is a cute and pool party appropriate look from Emma and my best dressed Mulberry look, see Dree Hemingway at the bottom of the post in Dolce & Gabbana for my best overall look.

I am loving this playful look on her, sometimes I find Emma can be a little too serious in her style, which don’t get me wrong is generally impeccable, but I am loving that she is having a little fun with the animal print. I also love how she made the look her own with the addition of the belt, and that 70’s style hat. Also the tan version of the Mini Lily has so been added to my wish list – love that little beauty.

Who: Kate Bosworth

Wearing: A Mulberry fuzzy tiger scoop neck tee in acorn, teamed with studded black shorts, Mulberry black studded sneakers, and finishing off her look is a Mulberry Mini Lily with Tassels in Ink Blue, all from the autumn/winter 2012 collection

Verdict: Can Kate be any more cooler if she tried, I am loving her sexy casual vibe in these tiny studded shorts, which works perfectly with the animal print tee and those hot Mulberry sneakers. I also need to find out where her bright fish earrings are from as I am loving them!!!

Who: Actress of the moment Lily Collins

Wearing: A pale blue stripy straws Neely Mulberry dress, teamed with summer khaki stitched bow ballerina flats, both from the spring/summer 2012 collection, and completing her look is the ink blue Mulberry Lily with Tassels from the autumn/winter 2012 collection

Verdict: This was nearly my best dressed, I love the printed dress, the bag and her fresh face, but I am just not as sold on her shoes. Don’t get me wrong they work perfectly with the look, I am just not loving them, I much prefer the cross strap flats that she is wearing below with Kate.

Who: Dree Hemingway

Wearing: A Dolce & Gabbana chilli pepper-print cotton bustier and skirt from the spring/summer 2012 collection, teamed with very high platform heels

Verdict: Out of all the models who attended the party, which also included Arizona Muse, Tali Lennox, and Cara Delveigne, Dree really captured my attention in this very summery Dolce & Gabbana catwalk look. I am loving that she teamed it with hot red lips – LOVE!!!

So who gets your best dressed vote?

In Pictures: Mulberry Continues To Make Me Smile

I love that Mulberry changes its shop windows so regularly, only last month I snapped its use of the oversized ice-cream cone seen in the SS12 campaign, and this week’s Bond Street store is continuing the Brighton seaside theme. The windows have stuck with the ice-cream cone but it has added some of fav beach treats – an ice lolly complete with the tragic, un-funny joke, Brighton rock, and giant fish and chips – I am just in love with the Mulberry branded fork.

The visual merchandisers really are having fun with the spring/summer campaign and even though I was shivering when I took these snaps they totally made me smile.

So Mulberry tell me – what did the banana say to the other banana?

**Sorry that my pics aren’t the best quality – I took them with my Blackberry**

Window Displays: Anyone For A Mulberry Cone?

I’ve raved about the Mulberry spring/summer 2012 campaign a lot, here and here, and I actually squealed a little at seeing the oversized ice-cream cone in the window of Mulberry’s New Bond Street flagship.

Keeping the retro-Seventies theme, which inspired the fashion label’s British seaside campaign, I have used the 1977 filter on Instagram. I love all the different filters on the application, I just however don’t love the fact you can only use square images – hence the fact that my ice cream cone is slightly cut off, as I really wanted to include the ice cream spill.

SS12 Campaign: More Seaside Fun From Mulberry

Last week I shared with you a few scans of the spring/summer 2012 Mulberry campaign that I took from a few magazines, well today Mulberry released the full campaign and OMG I just love the ice cream cone shots.

I actually love this retro summer scene shot by Tim Walker and styled by Edward Enninful so much that I wish for the first time that advertising campaigns were made into posters. I can just see these images looking fabulous on the my bright yellow walls!!!

One thing, what happened to Lindsey and Frida riding the donkey?

SS12 Campaign: Mulberry Rock Comes To Brighton Pier

I don’t know how I missed the spring/summer 2012 Mulberry campaign but as soon as I saw these ads shot by Tim Walker in my February issues of ELLE and Tatler I just had to share them. Sorry the quality isn’t amazing but I had to scanned them in – on the page the colours are so vibrant.

What I love most about Mulberry is not only to do they work the British heritage card they actually love their British roots and show it off and this campaign shot on Brighton beach is just amazing – I don’t think the seaside town could ask for a better endorsement!

I bet models Frida Gustavsson and Lindsay Wixson hadn’t worked a pebble beach before but the retro feel of this campaign really does make it jump of the page.

Both ad campaigns are great, I love all the oversized sweeties, the candy stripes, and of course the pier in the background looks exquisite. I think out of the two images the ‘refresher lolly’ dress below is my favourite, I love how the ad is styled and the Alexa bag really does pop nicely – perfect accessory for the beach.

I think this might actually be my favourite spring/summer 2012 campaign so far.

Shop Her Style: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley In Paige

Who: British bombshell Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Where: Out and about in Los Angeles, California

Wearing: A pair of Paige High Rise Bell Canyon flared jeans in Breckenridge, with her go-to leopard print scarf, a dusky pink blazer, and a knitted jumper; teamed with a nude Mulberry Evelina leather satchel from the spring/summer 2012 collection, matching nude boots and finishing off her look are Burberry 3051 aviator sunglasses.

Verdict: I do love it when celebrities do dressing down so well and I am loving this shade of pink teamed with dark denim – it just looks so fresh. Add in the stylish leopard scarf and those hot sunnies and this is a great look from head-to-toe. Oh, and I can’t forget that gorgeous Mulberry satchel – love the colour, the shape and it works against the dark denim and pink.

Buy Her Style: Lets get back to the denim, which are gorgeous and are uber-flattering, not that she needs any help in that department. Paige jeans are one of my favourite denim brands and I have had my eye on these high-rise flared jeans for a while, mainly because they are made from light-weight slim fitting denim that is super comfortable, oh and I am a sucker for flares.

I could only find the Breckenridge shade on the Paige USA site for $199; but if you love the style but prefer a more casual distressed shade then you are in luck as Donna Ida has the Marine style in stock for £205.
