Toronto Film Festival: Anna Kendrick Looks Edgy In Mulberry

Who: Twilight and Up In The Air actress Anna Kendrick

Where: At the premiere for her new flick The Company You Keep, which took place during the Toronto Film Festival

Wearing: Mulberry’s moonlight tie dye silk ‘Fitted Nightie Dress’ from the autumn/winter 2012 collection, teamed with Brian Atwood strappy heels and a bronze clutch

Verdict: There is something about Anna Kendrick, she can look a little uncomfortable in dresses that are too sexy, she sometimes doesn’t quite pull off high-fashion looks, but I am loving that she has chosen this edgy look as she really pulls it off.

This printed ‘Nightie’ dress is incredible, I love the contoured style of the dress it really suits her tiny frame, but it is the ethereal print featuring tie-dye shades of midnight blue, orange and black that makes this dress divine for me. It is a little different for a red carpet look and that is why it stands out. This is a really great look from Anna.

Buy Her Style: Fancy buying Anna’s silk dress? Well you can pick it up now from Mulberry for £2,500 – bargain right!!!

What do you think of Anna’s edgier look?

AW12 Campaign: The Mulberry Forest Fairytale

There is always something magical about Mulberry’s vision, whether it is for a celeb-studded party, a catwalk show, or a retail window display, the British brand under the helm of Emma Hill seems to just push the limit every season. For autumn/winter 2012, it seems that the Mulberry has captured the magic of the collection, which was inspired by the fantastical ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ perfectly with the help of its two giant furry beasts with claws to appear alongside model Lindsey Wixson.

Shot by Tim Walker in Blackheath Forest in Surrey, which I so need to visit doesn’t it look magical, I love that it has a Brother’s Grim meets Big Foot vibe about it that works perfectly against the gorgeous tailored, layered and textured collection. The lace and the tweed seriously pops against the trees and the claws.

All the shots are incredible, as are the bags I love them all from the Del Rey in Ostrich in the top shot to the  gorgeous embellished Alexa bag *second to last* and the divine new tweed Lily Shoulder with Chain Handle in the final image.

But  my favourite shot has to be Lindsay in orange or should I say flame as Mulberry have called it, she looks insane in that lace top and flared skirt, plus her arm candy is the new Maisie, I have to admit I did swoon slightly at the sight of this bag so wish I could add this to my collection of bags!!!

One thing I have to ask though – does the forest fairytale top the seaside shoot from spring/summer 2012?

The Mulberry Crown At Harrods

Today was an early start all about ballgowns and crowns at Harrods and the V&A and it was amazing. First stop was Harrods where they’ve transformed the store into a very patriotic scene to celebrate the Queen’s diamond jubilee, think lots of Union Jack flags, and windows filled with crowns.

Everyone from De Beers and Tiffany & Co, to Paul Smith and Prada and even beauty brand’s Shu Uemura and Jo Malone have designed a special crown just for Harrods and they are all on display in the store’s windows.

It isn’t the best shot, the traffic is crazy so always reflects on the glass, but I just had to share this amazing crown covered in ‘hundreds and thousands’ candy pieces designed by Mulberry. As soon as I saw it I was in awe, don’t get me wrong I love the jewels of the traditional designed crowns, but come on this is fun and  different and I am loving the addition of the cushion designed like a classic English Victoria sponge cake for it to sit on.

The Harrods Brompton Road windows filled with crowns and ballgowns will be on display until June 15 so get down and check out them out.

Window Displays: The Mulberry Zoo

Everytime I see a new window at Mulberry’s New Bond Street store I stand and stare, seriously insane visual merchandising, which instantly adds a smile to my face.

We all know this a cool brand from its incredible fashion week presentations, the stunning ad campaigns, the fact that it names its bags after the fashionable popular girls, and the amazing parties they seem to throw, and what I love is that the brand ethos seems to trickle down into every section of the business and this is certain evident in their zoo themed window display at the moment.

Are you a fan of Mulberry’s windows?
