Ad Campaign: Jennifer Lawrence For Miss Dior

For her first Miss Dior campaign, Jennifer Lawrence was very couture, statuesque and elegant, for her follow-up it seems that the French fashion house has simply just gone with the star’s natural beauty for a more relaxed, stripped-backed vibe.

There is something about Jennifer that appeals across the board, she is beautiful but not in an OTT way, she is hilarious, she seems very grounded and doesn’t court the craziness of fame – plus she has the talent. For me her second campaign for Miss Dior really sells the qualities that everyone loves about the actress, her personality, while also helping the French label appeal to the average woman. I think it is a clever move as every woman wants a designer handbag.

I’m captivated by this campaign shot by Dan Jackson. Jennifer looks gorgeous with minimal make-up on, her hair is cute, and I love that chic-yet-simple grey woollen coat that lets the Miss Dior quilted handbag with chain-strap really shine. I think the blush pink one has been added to my handbag wish list!!!

What are you thoughts on a nearly bare-faced Jennifer Lawrence in Miss Dior’s latest campaign?

Campaign Loving: Jennifer Lawrence for Miss Dior

memo-dior02There is something about Jennifer Lawrence, I love her humour, her girl-next-door look, as well as her ability to mix it up and be edgy, but fronting a glossy ad campaign I wasn’t so sure about, well that was until I saw the first ads for her Miss Dior campaign – seriously stunning.

Shot by Willy Vanderperre, I think these are some of the most beautiful photographs I have seen of ‘The Silver Linings Playbook’ star, I am just in love with the black styling teamed with a pop of blue and pink from the Miss Dior handbags. These images are seductive, elegant and glamorous and I have to say better than those seen by previous Miss Dior faces including Mila Kunis, who embodied old Hollywood glamour.

Also perfect timing for Dior to release these shots with the Academy Awards just around the corner and the buzz that she might actually snatch the golden gong gathering momentum. Another thing you can probably guess from these shots is that another Dior look is probably likely on The Oscars red carpet tomorrow.

AW12 Campaign: Mila Kunis Embodies Old-Hollywood Glamour For Dior

There is something special about Mila Kunis, of course she is gorgeous, but it is something else that draws me in, I think it is because she is a bit of a chameleon. This is the girl who can rock double denim on the cover of Glamour to embodying old-Hollywood glamour for a high-end advertising campaign – that is hard to do.

This is her second campaign as the face of Miss Dior handbags and I love the Fifties Hollywood film star vibe to the gorgeous black and white shots. Last time around the campaign was demure, this time I am loving the bouffant hair, the retro paparazzi mob, and the incredible Dior gown that she is wearing.

Captured in Los Angeles by photographer Mario Sorrenti and styled by former Paris Vogue editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld this is a beautiful campaign – Mila is an elegant beauty in this striking ad and I am sure it will jump off the page when I see it in a magazine as well. I also hear that there is a short film with the campaign – I can’t wait to see that.

Do you like Mila Kunis as the face of Miss Dior?

SS12 Campaign: Mila Kunis Is The New Miss Dior

Another day, another spring/summer 2012 campaign is released and this time it is the House of Dior unveiling gorgeous actress Mila Kunis as the new face of its Miss Dior handbags.

The campaign shot by Mikael Jansson, features Mila mainly in black carrying a different Miss Dior handbag in each shot, my favourite being the quilted leather geranium coloured shoulder bag above – how striking does that look against the black styling – oh and the shoes – LOVE!!!

The French fashion house really do love an actress, and especially one that has starred in the Oscar-acclaimed Black Swan, as Mila joins her co-star Natalie Portman, who is the face of Miss Dior Cherie perfume. I do think Mila is very Dior, and she looks stunning in this snaps, I really do think she has the elegance and grace that is needed to be a ‘Dior girl’.

Do you agree – is Mila a great choice for Dior?
