Cover Loving: Lupita Nyong’o Nails Her First Vogue Cover

I am so pleased that Lupita Nyong’o is gracing her first Vogue cover, she really did make the 2014 award season *do you remember her white Calvin Klein gown*, and I am even more pleased that it is a great cover.

Shot by Mikael Jansson, Lupita looks incredible in this Marrakech photoshoot wearing vibrant designs by Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, Vera Wang, Jonathan Saunders, Givenchy and Prada that gorgeous red and purple print dress looks insane on her.

I think one of my favourite shots has to be where Lupita is reclining against a red velvet couch wearing a printed Rodarte gown, I love that the prints are so similar that her beauty really becomes the focal point of the picture, and I think the gorgeous Moroccan setting was just genius. So beautiful.

I think this will be the first of many major covers for Lupita and I can’t wait to see what else this gorgeous actress has to share.

Are you pleased that Lupita has scored her first Vogue cover?

AW13 Campaign: Nicole Kidman For Jimmy Choo

I have been waiting for these campaign shots since the news broke that Nicole Kidman was the new face of Jimmy Choo just before Cannes and they haven’t disappointed. Captured by photographer Mikael Jansson, Nicole is oozing sex appeal as a Hitchcock heroine, complete with a fab fringed bob.

Portrayed as the “seductive protagonist”, Nicole looks incredible in these autumn/winter 2013 campaign images for the luxury footwear brand, sporting sexy stilettos, caged booties, and thigh-high boots, as well as a gorgeous selection of bags.

As well as adoring Nicole in this campaign, I just love the sexy film noir feel to it, with the classic car, the sinister mist rolling in, and her dramatic femme fatale look. This has to be one of the most best Jimmy Choo campaigns I have seen.

The print images are striking, but the short film that accompanies the campaign is amazing, Nicole really does strong and glamorous to perfection.

Cover Loving: Emma Stone For Interview Magazine

It feels like I have been doing blog posts about September issues for months now, I am over exaggerating I know, but there has just been so many incredible covers, and I have to add Interview magazine’s sci-fi-inspired cover with Emma Stone to that long list.

This is Emma Stone’s debut cover for Interview and what a statement cover. Shot by Mikael Jansson and styled by Karl Temper this is one of the edgiest editorials I have seen from the actress, normally her covers are more girlie, elegant and kooky – but never have I seen her work such gorgeous strong high-fashion pieces before.

Everything from the statement Chanel necklace on the cover to her wearing pieces from Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière, Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Christopher Kane, and Haider Ackermann, this is a huge departure from her girl-next-door persona, and I love it.

I can’t wait to see this editorial in print as I love how it has been made to look like a 80’s sci-fi flick with the neon lights, the smoky set, and an army of hunks wearing trench coat and shades, which all works perfectly with the grainy images.

Do you like this bold cover from Emma Stone or do you prefer her looking charming and kooky?[Pics: interviewmagazine.com]

SS12 Campaign: Mila Kunis Is The New Miss Dior

Another day, another spring/summer 2012 campaign is released and this time it is the House of Dior unveiling gorgeous actress Mila Kunis as the new face of its Miss Dior handbags.

The campaign shot by Mikael Jansson, features Mila mainly in black carrying a different Miss Dior handbag in each shot, my favourite being the quilted leather geranium coloured shoulder bag above – how striking does that look against the black styling – oh and the shoes – LOVE!!!

The French fashion house really do love an actress, and especially one that has starred in the Oscar-acclaimed Black Swan, as Mila joins her co-star Natalie Portman, who is the face of Miss Dior Cherie perfume. I do think Mila is very Dior, and she looks stunning in this snaps, I really do think she has the elegance and grace that is needed to be a ‘Dior girl’.

Do you agree – is Mila a great choice for Dior?
