Wearing: A light grey v-neck silk chiffon full skirted Marchesa gown with embroidered detailing to the bodice, teamed with a black diamond crystal large box clutch

Verdict: Recently Michelle has a new found confidence when it comes to her red carpet dressing, maybe it is a new stylist, or maybe it is just she is maturing nicely – but I am loving it. Everything about this look is gorgeous, from the plunging neckline, to the pale grey colouring against her skintone, and the sleek side pony tail. I love this from head-to-toe!!

Where: At the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards hosted by Jameson Irish Whiskey at Santa Monica Beach

Wearing: A belted stone tile Pamella Roland jacquard coat dress with short pleated sleeves and back box pleat from the spring/summer 2011 collection, teamed with studded black booties, a gold clutch and a jewelled cocktail ring

Verdict: I actually like this look on her, part of me was like it is a little too conservative for the Spirit Awards, and the other half of me is saying well at least she stands out!

I love the stone tile print on this chic coat dress, it really is an elegant look for Michelle. Maybe her recent trip to New York Fashion Week helped her pick out this. I like that she has tried to make it more youthful with the studded booties and the jewelled ring, and her neutral make-up works perfectly.

Overall, not the best dressed, but I can appreciate where she was coming from, for me this is one of the best looks I have seen on her in a while.

Verdict: I love this punk princess – look at those studded booties gorgeous. I really do love Whitney’s style but really would wish she’d wear more of her own outfits out on the red carpet
