OK so how hot is Jennifer Lopez looking at the moment, I am seriously obsessed with how good her body is, don’t get me wrong she has always looked amazing but right now she is insanely hot.

Her instagram has become a daily pleasure for me, I love that she shares behind-the-scenes shots of her tour, gets her fans to vote on her outfits and even post no make-up selfies of herself. I have to be honest but move over Beyonce, J-Lo is taking your reign as my Instagram queen!!!

One of Jennifer’s Instagram’s that caught my eye this week was this stunning piccie of the singer, showing off her great pins and fabulous hair, and the cutest jumper ever that I instantly recognised as Markus Lupfer, basically the only designer you want to buy if you are after a statement sweater.

The cotton pink sequinned Markus Lupfer ‘Love Myself’ sweater is perfection and I have found it on FarFetch so you too can look like J-Lo, I just wish buying it also meant her glamsquad came and styled me up as she looks flawless in this picture.

Love J-Lo’s sweater – check out 10 of my favourite Markus Lupfer sweaters right now:

LFW Show Report: Markus Lupfer AW14

LFW AW14 Markus Lupfer 2 LFW Show Report: Markus Lupfer AW14 %tag

You can always leave it to Markus Lupfer to bring a touch of fun to fashion week, last season it was a teenage girl’s bedroom, and for autumn/winter 2014 it is all about the local “caff”.

Inspired by the quintessential charm of England – from a builders café in Manchester to riding the Big Dipper in Blackpool and buying rock on Brighton Pier – this is a collection that mixes the tongue-in-cheek with more grown-up ready-to-wear pieces.

SS14 was fun and girlie, AW14 is moodier with a contemporary nod to Mod fashions with uniform-like silhouettes, pinafore-inspired dresses, boxy jackets and striking prints featuring florals, polka dots and leopard print.

If like me you are a lover of his statement sequinned knits they are still in the collection but sadly only the Cafe one seem to appear at the presentation. According to the show notes there will also be jumpers featuring slogans including ‘Kiss me quick’, ‘Golly Gosh’, ‘One sandwich short of a picnic’, ‘Bingo’ and ‘Full english’.

Granted it didn’t have the same vibe as last season, but hey this time around we did get chips, but I do like this more grown-up version of Markus Lupfer.

LFW SS14: Markus Lupfer – Teenage Dream

LFW SS14 Markus Lupfer 3 LFW SS14: Markus Lupfer – Teenage Dream %tag

I love a presentation and Markus Lupfer knows how to make his showcase one of the must-see shows of London Fashion Week as he always makes it fun and playful. For spring/summer 2014, the designer took us back to the early 90’s and gathered us all in the chicest teenage girls bedroom ever, complete with hunks plastered on the wall and a burger phone.

With a nostalgic look back to the early 90’s MTV generation, the collection was filled with floral patchwork trousers, skirts and matching bombers, alongside white jacquard dresses featuring a jumbo abstract floral print.

There was a youthful feel to the collection, with the teenage references including a Jason Priestley t-shirt and slogan tees branded with ‘Loser’ ‘Lame’ and ‘Whatever’ inspired by Mean Girls, while still offering a grown-up vibe with the kaleidoscopic floral patchwork pieces.

What was surprising to see was the fact that there weren’t any sequinned jumpers, there were still sequins on the t-shirts and on the embellished flats – but it seems like Lupfer is looking more to his grown-up ready-to-wear pieces which is nice to see.

My favourite pieces, other than the Jason Priestley t-shirt which is top of my SS14 wishlist, has to be the floral bomber jacket and the fun kitty jumper.

Basically I loved it all – roll on summer 2014!!!

LFW SS14: British Fashion Council’s ‘The Shop’

The Shop Lores LFW SS14: British Fashion Councils The Shop %tag

Every season London Fashion Week seems to keep on getting bigger and better, and this September the British Fashion Council are opening their own pop-up shop celebrating some of the hottest talents of LFW.

Onsite at Somerset House, ‘The Shop’ will house autumn/winter 2013 ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes by brands including Markus Lupfer, Bella Freud, Sophia Webster, Prism, Dominic Jones, Zoe Jordan, Lulu & Co. and House of Holland – the two rooms in the West Wings are going to be jam-packed with goodies.

If the incredible shopping wasn’t enough, the pop-up space has been created by set designer Robert Storey, and the boutique has a cool logo designed by the talented Sir Peter Blake – I really am a sucker for typography!!!

Keep an eye out on LFW’s Twitter @londonfashionwk as ‘The Shop’ will also play host to a series of pop-up events including flash sales, musical performances, readings, interviews and guest appearances – it will be the cultural hub of fashion week.

‘The Shop’ will be open Friday, September 13 – Sunday, September 22 (but will be closed Wednesday, September 18.

Shopping: The Superheroes Edition

LazyOafBatman Shopping: The Superheroes Edition %tagBatman and Spider-Man have not only taken blockbuster success this summer at the cinema, but it seems that fashion has taken note and been inspired, as comic book and pop art-inspired pieces have started hitting the shops.

For me it all began with 3.1 Phillip Lim’s stunning pre-fall 2012 collection filled with graphic prints, including that incredible Break Up PVC pouch that has caught ever fashion editor’s attention. From there Lazy Oaf designed a batman collection, Zoe Karssen added some bat-appeal to her t-shirts, and even the king of fun jumpers Markus Lupfer added comic book lingo to his uber-cool signature sparkles, and it seems everyone has produced a cat ear headband in honour of our favourite female superhero/villian, Catwoman.

There are so many cool comic book pieces that it was hard to choose just 15, but I have brought you my favourites below:

LFW AW12: Markus Lupfer Professes ‘Omnia Vincit Amor’

Markus5 LFW AW12: Markus Lupfer Professes Omnia Vincit Amor %tag

One of my highlights of London Fashion Week had to be Markus Lupfer’s presentation at the beautiful Two Temple Place. Known for making the novelty jumper chic with his signature sequin embellished sweaters with fun logos and gap-tooth smile, Markus Lupfer is continuing his pop-culture inspired pieces into autumn/winter 2012, with knits emblazoned with mischievous Latin phrases such as ‘Omnia Vincit Amor’ aka ‘Love Conquers All’, and ‘Carpe Diem’.

I think everyone who went left the presentation/day party said that they wanted a trunk full of Markus Lupfer sparkly jumpers, especially all the ones with the comic references, and predictably I was no different. I have fallen in love with the ‘Ka-Pow’ and the ‘Boom’, as well as the sequinned masked animals – the rabbit is gorgeous and I need in my life!!!

As well as strikingly cool knits, Markus Lupfer presented a strong tailored range of trousers and jackets in stunning forest green and raspberry shades, mixed in with patterned silk blouses, brocade dresses, and lots of leather. This is a collection moving away from just quirky jumpers to an impressive range of womenswear and I loved it.

Hot, Hot, Hot: Madonna Wearing Markus Lupfer

Madonna1 Hot, Hot, Hot: Madonna Wearing Markus Lupfer %tag

The world has gone a little Madge crazy of late, it does seem to cycle around every couple of years, all the latest buzz has been about her new film, W.E. but now it seems the focus is back to her music, oh and her fab styling. For 2012, Madonna is releasing her 12th studio album titled M.D.N.A, cleverly named for the hashtag cool kids, and the first single is Give Me All Your Luvin’ featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A..

My post though isn’t about her new music, which I am sure is going to be mega, especially with the music video being football and cheerleader theme – inspired by her up-coming Super Bowl appearance apparently. My focus has been completely taken over by the fact that the Queen of Pop has chosen to wear the amazing ‘intarsia star’ jumper from British designer Markus Lupfer’s spring/summer 2012 collection on the cover of her new single.

As well as it being a great jumper,  I so want it, I also love how amazing Madonna looks in the shots taken by Mert & Marcus – sexy, sultry and extremely youthful – oh and of course she’s making a stand that she is the only real musical ‘star’ around. Madge is one hot 53 year-old!!!

Do check out the music video as even Barbie has a starring role – granted only as Nicki Minaj’s bling necklace – but still very cool.
