So last night Rosie Huntington-Whiteley hit up a party celebrating her first fragrance with M&S Beauty wearing nothing more than a silk nightdress from her own Rosie for Autograph sleepwear collection for Marks & Spencer, and I have to be honest if you read that statement without seeing the pictures you might think she has lost her fashion mojo, but wow, Rosie really can wear anything and still look incredible.
Valentine’s Day is always a non-starter in our household, as each year it always falls during London Fashion Week, so each season my other half gets replaced by catwalk shows, late nights, and deadlines, which turns me into a stressed out, very tired monster – not very romantic.
So this year, when Marks and Spencer got in touch and asked if I would like to get involved in their #ShareTheLove Valentine’s Day campaign, I thought why not do an early dine-in special before I turn into a stressed out fashion victim.
So this year’s M&S became our Valentine’s and sent us flowers, candles, chocolates, and food vouchers to have the perfect night. We decided to test out this year’s Gourmet Dine-in-for-Two menus, which is great value as for £20 you can pick a starter, a main course, a side dish, a dessert, and a bottle of wine, plus you get the cutest heart-shaped chocolates.
Everything from the starter to mains were delicious, but the best had to be the dreamy dessert, the chocolate and raspberry truffle bake, which when I say I can’t help but do the dulcet tones of M&S lady from the advert, much to the annoyance of my fiancé. It really was the most perfect end to a very relaxed night in before the madness of London Fashion Week.
How are you celebrating Valentine’s Day?
The dine in for two for £20 offer is available from Tuesday 11 February until Sunday 16 February and is available in selected stores only.**This post was done in collaboration with Marks and Spencer**
Before the fashion craziness of September, my boyfriend and I always try to get away for a mini-break, so last week we headed to Wales for a spot of relaxation at a spa in Anglesey. More to come on the amazing hotel, the treatments and the island, but as I haven’t blogged an outfit post in nearly a month, so I thought I would share with you one of my favourite looks from my holibob.
This floral dip-dye smock dress is from ASOS and I bought it on a whim as it was in the sale, it still is and is only £18, I like the shape and the idea of wearing florals without being too girlie and bright. The thinking was I could wear during the summer with bright accessories and then come winter I could layer up with tights, boots and a chunky cardigan.
For dinner at the hotel one night I decided to wear this beauty paired with my bright orange heels from Marks & Spencer, I got them for a wedding last year and they are super comfortable and I love the pop of colour with the burn-out floral design of the dress. As I don’t have an orange belt, seriously the only colour I don’t own, I went with my trusty flower clasp beauty from Dorothy Perkins as this dress really needs to be nipped in a little otherwise it looks a little unflattering.
Finishing off my look I kept my jewellery simple, mainly because we were away to relax not get dressed up, so I wore my trusty Fossil watch that my mum got me for my birthday and my new favourite piece of arm candy – this cute bow bracelet from Kate Spade.
There is something about this dress that I love, and I think it works against the gorgeous backdrop of Anglesey, as it makes the pop of colours in the flowers and palm trees look even more vibrant.
Are you a fan of floral dresses and would you wear this beautiful dip-dye number?
