Hot Collaboration: Marc by Marc Jacobs x Liberty London

I do love a designer collaboration, especially when it launches days before my birthday, and I am in love with Liberty London’s latest trip into its archive for this floral accessories line with Marc by Marc Jacobs.

The iconic London department store has already teamed up with Nike and Levis this year but the exclusive  ‘Pretty Nylon’ collection with Marc by Marc Jacobs has to be my favourite.

The New York label has given its tote, mini make-up bag, tablet case, backpack and cosmetics case a floral make-over with two of Liberty’s classic ditsy floral prints – the Emma & Georgina, a pink with green floral print, and the Wiltshire, which features a berry and leaf design in purple and cerise tones.

Both prints are cute, all pieces are on my birthday wishlist, and all are available in store and online now.

I think the Emma & Georgina printed tote has to be favourite.

My Style: When Hudson Met Lulu

This weekend actually felt like spring, it was sunny, it was warm, and it meant that I could finally wear something that wasn’t layered up – cue the crop jeans, the statement tee and a colourful pair of trainers!!!

A couple of years ago I am not so sure I would have got my ankles out for a pair of jeans, that was because I hadn’t been introduced to the boyfriend style of denim, since I got my Gap pair I have been a little obsessed in finding a pair that was a little longer in length that would be perfect with trainers, and then Jeanography came along and recommend these Hudson Jeans and I think I can safely say they are going to be my spring/summer staple.

As we had friends over this weekend we took full advantage of the sunny weather and took in the sights, shops, and gorgeous parks of St Albans, a market town that I haven’t been to in a while and it is so pretty. As we were doing a bit of walking around I decided to wear my new Onitsuka Tiger trainers, so, so comfortable and I am in love with the gorgeous pink colour, which works so well with blue denim.

To complete my look of first time wears, which wasn’t intentional I just realised while writing this post, was my Lulu Guinness for Uniqlo doll face tee. You may remember I was a big fan of Lulu’s first collaboration with the Japanese fashion brand, I have the Kooky Cat and the original doll face, so when the collection came out earlier this month I couldn’t resist updating my wardrobe with the new style and at under £15 this tee is a bargain.

If the sunny weather keeps up like this I think you will be seeing a lot more of these jeans, these shoes and an array of statement tees!!!

Do you have a go-to sunny Sunday afternoon attire?

For iPhone Lovers: The Adorable Moschino Gennarino Bear

Moschinoiphonecover For iPhone Lovers: The Adorable Moschino Gennarino Bear %tag

You may have already seen Anna Dello Russo tweet a piccie of her new iPhone case from Moschino this week but I couldn’t resist sharing the beauty that is simply known as Gennarino, the Moschino mascot bear.

Coming to Moschino boutiques in September this adorable iPhone case will set you back around $75 but come on it is so worth it – I have to admit I am loving my new HTC One X but this beauty makes the iPhone very appealing!!!

I love the brown bear with a red bow – but I am also hearing that iPhone addicts will also be able to spoil their mobiles with either a yellow bear with a blue bow or a pink bear with a green bow – I have to be honest all three sound good to me.

Can’t wait until September to give your iPhone a make-over? Why not try one of these designer beauties:

Emma Stone: Vogue US vs Teen Vogue

Vogue US – July 2012 vs Teen Vogue – August 2012

My style crush on Emma Stone is getting nearly as bad as my one for Diane Kruger, I am not sure why but she just has the unique ability to make me smile. I completely adore her girl-next-door vibe mixed in with a chameleon who can work nearly any look, add in her goofy personality and her stunning beauty and she has it all going on. Seriously her Revlon beauty ads make me look twice, and her red carpet looks keep on wowing me.

With all that love I am so pleased to see Emma finally grace the cover of American Vogue, and what a beauty of a cover it is, surely the best one of the year so far. Shot by Mario Testino, Emma looks divine in a look from Nina Ricci’s autumn/winter 2012 collection on the July 2012 cover, and the accompanying editorial is just as gorgeous featuring looks from Jil Sander, Ralph Lauren, Prada, and Givenchy.

Vogue US – July 2012

The Teen Vogue August cover, shot by Josh Olins, isn’t quite as striking as the American Vogue cover, but come on how adorable do Emma and Andrew Garfield look together. What I will say is that the purple Louis Vuitton dress that Emma is wearing is such a good colour on her, but I have to be honest I would have preferred it if they had gone for a solo Emma cover – especially if they’d used my favourite floral McQ Alexander McQueen dress that Victoria Justice wore to the Met Gala.

The rest of the editorial is cute, chemistry isn’t amazing considering they are an actual couple as well as co-stars in the latest Spider-Man flick, but I am loving the use of Marc Jacobs, Mulberry, Prada, Calvin Klein, and how adorable does Emma look in that Marc by Marc Jacobs hat.

I think I already know the answer – but which cover do you prefer grown-up or teen Vogue???

Primark

I know that Primark are known for its runway copies, but this striped jersey midi is an amazing tribute to Marc by Marc Jacobs’ look one from the spring/summer 2011 collection. Where as the Simone stripe dress from MbMJ is a couple of hundred bucks, this beauty from Primark is only £11!!!

Yep £11, a bargain, and it’s the perfect addition to any summer wardrobe. I also love the cobalt wedges, which when they hit the stores in June they will fly off the shelves as they are only £20.

Marc by Marc Jacobs SS11

It does make you wonder how retailers get away with these blatant rip-offs. Only last week Peacocks announced the launch of its runway copies *sorry not had time to blog them* – but think Erdem’s flower dress, Dolce and Gabbana’s floral maxi and Louis Vuitton’s prom dress, and prices start at only £35.

I have heard that brands only have to change eight things, and these can be the slightest of change, from spacing in the stripes, the material, to the type of buttons etc. Amazing that they can get away with it, as this instantly made me think of Marc Jacobs, it just doesn’t have the vibrancy of the real-deal, but seriously who am I kidding I can’t afford the MbMJ version so thank-you Primark for coming to my rescue.
