Last night I went down to the autumn/winter Thomas Sabo sterling silver collection party and watch launch. Thrown at One Mayfair, St Mark’s Church, in Mayfair, it was the most amazing venue and perfectly fitting for a Gothic adventure inspired jewellery line.

From the elegant Gothic inspired invitation, I knew it was going to be an amazing party, especially with it stating an exclusive performance by Gossip singer Beth Ditto. One thing was for sure this party didn’t disappoint, when you need a party done properly you obviously need to call in the Germans!
The jewellery brand had thought of everything:
Keep the drink flowing – check – from champagne to refreshing summery cocktails and even non-alcoholic mango and passion drinks, the waiters keep the drinks top up.
Put on some amazing entertainment – check – from opening act Coco Sumner, who sounded just like her father Sting, to the main act of Beth Ditto and her acapella version of Whitney, it was worth sweltering in the heat for. To finish up Madge’s beau model Jesus Luz who took to the decks – he even put on a tune from his old lady.
Bring out the head dude – check – even Thomas Sabo was there taking in the party and introducing the line.
Add a surprise A-lister to the celebrations – sadly not – rumours went round Twitter that Madonna was going to come to support her man but unfortunately not – that would have made my night!
The highlight of the night had to be Beth Ditto, I love Gossip but I had never seen them live, and it was a real treat to have Beth doing as she called it ‘karaoke’. She did three numbers and her voice really was amazing, she also looked amazing in a black dress which of course was accessorised with Thomas Sabo jewels. The crowd were a weird mix, fashion and entertainment crowd not just from London but from across Europe, we signed in behind a fashion writer from Glamour Netherlands.
There were a few weird moments from the party, my friend and I got interviewed by German TV – apparently the TV crew were worried that Jesus was missing Madonna, they weren’t that concerned with anything else or our sarcastic answers. Hilarious.
Oh and then I spotted a Ken look-a-likey, Barbie’s Ken that is, in a 50s style Hawaiian shirt – taking a sneaky piccie on Blackberry was amusing and I am pretty sure he spotted me - hence the blurriness.

The collection itself was exquisite. I am already a fan of the brand, my boyfriend acquires me a new charm for my bracelet on special occasions, my last being an Eiffel tower when we were in Paris. Of course I wore my bracelet with pride last night and while checking out the collection I was mentally making a wish-list of future presents.
The seasonal pieces have been inspired by the surreal dream sequences in and around the ‘House of Adventures’, where fairy-tales take over the winter. From the romantic world of her Royal Majesty with winged hearts, crowns, keys and elegant feathers; to the world of fairy-tale creatures and the forest with acorns, oak leaves and deer heads; to my favourite pieces inspired by the discovery of a secret playroom full of nostalgic of dolls houses, toys and china sets, with doll pendants (below), hearts, hearts and more hearts. LOVE!
