SAG Awards: Amanda Seyfried In Zac Posen

Who: Les Miserables actress Amanda Seyfried

Where: At the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California

Wearing: A form-fitting strapless midnight blue Zac Posen gown with a sweetheart neckline and cascading tiered layers to the skirt from the pre-fall 2013 collection, teamed with a vintage-inspired Lorraine Schwartz pendant

Verdict: I do love a mermaid silhouette, and for once it seems that hardly anyone went for this shape even Sofia Vergara opting for something different, so it was nice to see Amanda Seyfried’s gown getting all the attention.

Like with Jennifer Lawrence and Nicole Kidman midnight blue was the colour of the night, along with black, and I think a lot of people will be comparing this to Jennifer’s Dior Couture gown, and I think I have to give this fashion round to Amanda this dress just looked incredible on her.

Not only does this dress fit her perfectly, I love the drama of the sculptural tiers on the skirt, the colour against her skin, and the quirky pendant – this is one great look without looking too forced.

Do you rate Amanda’s red carpet look?

Golden Globes 2013: Megan Fox In Dolce & Gabbana

Who: Megan Fox

Where: At the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California

Wearing: A strapless blush lace Dolce & Gabbana gown, teamed with a gold Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and Lorraine Schwartz pink-gold, diamond, coral, and ruby bead earrings and a white-gold, diamond and ruby ring

Verdict: I have so missed the bombshell that is Megan Fox on the red carpet and I am so pleased that she always seems to come out for award season.

Looking as gorgeous as ever this lacy dress is super tight and is perfectly fitted, I have to be honest it is so tight it makes me think they sewed her into it!!!

I love the colour on her, the dusky pink works really against her brunette locks that had a vibe of old-Hollywood glamour about them with loose waves set to the side.

It seems that everyone nearly went for Lorraine Schwartz and these pink drop earrings are one of my favourite pieces of jewellery seen last night – they have the right mix of glamour, girlie and OTT factor that is perfect for the red carpet.

Here’s hoping for many more gorgeous Megan red carpet looks!!!

Golden Globes 2013: Claire Danes Looks Stunning In Atelier Versace

Claire Danes, Versace, Golden GlobesWho: Golden Globe-winning actress Claire Danes

Where: At the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California

Wearing: A custom-made red Atelier Versace gown featuring gathered draping to the hip and a deep v-neckline, teamed with Lorraine Schwartz jewellery – diamond baguette straight line earrings and a three-stone diamond and ruby pinky ring

Verdict: First up before we get to the dress, which is fabulous, can we first discuss how incredible Claire Danes looks considering she only gave birth a month ago, a month people, a month – I just can’t believe how good she looks. Seriously how???!!!???

OK, enough of my jealously about her flawless figure and back to the gorgeous gown, which I think is absolute perfection – more so when Claire said in an interview to Ryan Seacrest that she only tried it on for the first time “around 9pm” – that is great craftmanship.

There was a lot of red around last night and this is most certainly one of my favourites – I just love the minimal elegance of the silhouette and the draping detailing.

Golden Globes 2013: Lucy Liu Wears Carolina Herrera

Lucy Lui, Carolina Herrera, Golden Globes

Who: Lucy Liu

Where: At the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California

Wearing: A blue rose-vine patterned Jacquard strapless Carolina Herrera gown from the pre-fall 2013 collection, teamed with Lorraine Schwartz jewellery and a fishtail braid

Verdict: Los Angeles maybe having a winter chill at the moment but the Elementary actress was in full bloom at this year’s Golden Globes in this gorgeous and dramatic gown from Carolina Herrera. This is the second look from the pre-fall 2013 collection this we’ve seen this week, like with Emmy Rossum’s constellations print, this another very ladylike ‘princess’ dress that was made for the red carpet.

I always seem to like what Lucy wears on the red carpet as she takes risks, which to be honest is easy when you look as good as her, and I absolutely adore this dress. I love everything about this look from the romantic print to the way the dress highlights her tiny waist, to the exquisite Lorraine Schwartz pink-gold, 2.5 million dollar drop earrings with over 30 carats of diamonds, and how she has finished it off with a gorgeous fishtail braid and barely there make-up.

Lucy is gorgeous in this dress and is most certainly in my top five favourites of the night – I simply love it.

Golden Globes 2013: Allison Williams In J. Mendel

Allison-Williams-JmendelWho: Actress Allison Williams from Golden Globe-winning HBO series Girls

Where: At the Golden Globe Awards 2013, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California

Wearing: A black silk-gazar J.Mendel gown featuring a plunging V neckline, a tear-drop open back and a mermaid train from the pre-fall 2013 collection, teamed with Lorraine Schwartz jewels

Verdict: Award red carpets and mermaid silhouettes go hand-in-hand and there were a lot on show at this year’s Golden Globes. One of my favourites had to be this J. Mendel gown that Allison Williams wore because it was bold, daring and so, so sexy.

Sometimes mermaid trains can make a dress look fussy and can age young starlets, this gorgeous J.Mendel however mixes the traditional silhouette up with a sexy plunging V-neckline and open back to make it look modern and fresh. I like it in black, however I think Allison could have pulled off this look more if it had been done in a bright colour.

With such a bold silhouette I was pleased to see that the Girls actress went for a minimal look with her accessories and hair and make-up, adding a pop of colour with her Lorraine Schwartz earrings and a slick bun for an elegant and refined look.

Golden Globes 2013: Taylor Swift Wows In Donna Karan Atelier

Taylor swift, donna karan, golden globes

Who: Taylor Swift

Where: At the Golden Globe Awards 2013, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California

Wearing: A dark plum taffeta Donna Karan Atelier gown that features a low back, dramatic train, and panels in mesh ombre from nude to dark plum which contour the body, teamed with statement Lorraine Schwartz blackened platinum, diamond and ruby earrings

Verdict: Wow, wow, wow – seriously this girl needs to get dumped more often as being newly single has really made her red carpet looks better.

Donna Karan knows how to make gorgeous gowns but she also understands young starlets and this is modern, fresh and sexy and is easily Taylor’s best ever look. Everything from the colour to the sexy low back and the mesh panel down the side – I am so pleased that this dress made it onto the red carpet as it is truly stunning.

I also have to point out her statement earrings, which was another trend from this year’s Golden Globes red carpet, they perfectly match the dress and occassion.

But what makes this look gorgeous is her attitude she really worked it on the red carpet if she hadn’t this dress wouldn’t have worked.

Great job Donna Karan you’ve made me a fan of Taylor Swift!!!

Critics’ Choice Movie Awards: Amanda Seyfried In Marios Schwab

Who: Amanda Seyfried

Where: At the 18th Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held in Santa Monica, California

Wearing: A cobalt blue Marios Schwab midi dress, featuring an embellished lace bodice and chiffon skirt from the spring/summer 2013 collection, teamed with Roger Vivier heels and Lorraine Schwartz earrings

Verdict: Not only are London Fashion Week designers having a red carpet moment in Hollywood this week with Simone Rocha, Peter Pilotto and Julien Macdonald designs being showcased at the People’s Choice Awards this week, but Amanda seems to love London-based designers having worn Alexander McQueen a number of times during the promo tour for Les Misérables.

This look is one of the most fashion-forward dresses on the red carpet last night, I wouldn’t say it was my favourite of the night but I do like that she isn’t afraid to take style risks. I love the colour and the detailing to the bodice, but I would have loved for it to be floor-length, the diamond-shaped hemline doesn’t work for me.

What I do absolutely love is her hair and make-up, from the glossy top-knot to the cat-eyes and nude lips – simply gorgeous.
