Bag Lust: The Loewe Flamenco Handbag

It seems I am not the only one who loves a Loewe bag, celebrities including Claudia Schiffer, Jessica Alba and Daisy Lowe, have been spotted carrying the bright and funky Flamenco handbags.

This Nappa leather bag is a reissue of the 80s classic and I just love how it stands out from the crowd with its rainbow pop colours. I love the extra-large tassels, the strap that allows it to be worn as a shoulder bag or cross-body, plus the fact that it comes it two sizes, the large one is perfect for all my daily needs.

It does however seem to be the celebrity ‘it’ bag of the moment though, even Aussie pop star Kylie was seen carrying the Candy coloured one in London recently, the same one that Daisy Lowe has. I love the dual-tone of this bag – as soon as I saw it I was thinking that Barbie and Mattel need to hook up with Loewe as they would make a great accessories pack for my favourite doll!!

I think my favourite is the yellow one, yep I am following the lead of Claudia Schiffer, Ashley Greene and Emily Blunt, who all have this stunning bag.

There is one catch though this beauty is over 1,000 Euros, to be exact the Flamenco 22 is 1,200 Euros and the Flamenco 30 is 1,400 Euros. I’ve already added it to my wishful thinking Christmas list to Santa!!!

So, which is your favourite?

Wishlist: Loewe Cherry Blossom

Luxury Spanish label Loewe *pronounced Lo-er-vay *, has launched a limited edition collection coinciding with the cherry trees coming into bloom.

I love cherry blossom, and freakly I was discussing with my other-half today how I wanted a blossom tree in the garden, to over hang our patio. I want it even more now I have found out that the cherry blossom is an emblem of love, an omen of good fortune, as well as signalling the start of spring.

Seriously, what a great idea for a collection, romantic and with a colour palette to-die-for, featuring soft, greyed off pastel shades named Bud and Powder *adorable*, with highlights of fuschia, and all inspired by the cherry blossom found at the Kiyomizu temple in Kyoto.

The collection comprises of five pieces: three bags, a zip-around purse and a bag charm, with prices ranging from €2,500 for the Ala to €175 for the charm.

My favourite piece has to be the Ala, which has 368 flowers that are mounted by hand, taking a craftsman 16 hours just to construct and place them. Such an exquisite bag, and I love the soft pink shade.

To celebrate the launch of the collection, which will be available from the end of March, Loewe has collaborated with photographer Nigel Shafran, who has created this amazing-yet-haunting playful images.

Now, all I need to do is figure out how I am going to afford the Ala.
