Golden Globes 2015: Emma Stone In Lanvin

Who: Best Supporting Actress nominee Emma Stone

Where: At the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California

Wearing: A strapless Lanvin jumpsuit with silver embellishments to the bodice and a statement train with a bow in the back, teamed with black heels

Verdict: Emma Stone has become one of my favourite red carpet stars and it is for looks like this, it isn’t frothy, it isn’t boring, and it isn’t what you expect during award season, and that is why I love it.

I am a huge fan of masculine styling on the red carpet and this Lanvin jumpsuit really does fuse the feminine of the beaded bodice and the masculine trousers perfectly, add that statement bow on the train in the back and it makes it red carpet worthy.

You need a confidence and fun spirit to pull this look off, which of course Emma has bucket loads of, and I adore how she kept the rest of the styling to a minimum to show off this incredible jumpsuit. Her hair and make-up is also flawless.

The only thing missing from this look was her boyfriend Andrew Garfield!!!

Noah: Jennifer Connelly’s Gorgeous Promo Tour

I love a big film release, not only is it fun to see a blockbuster at the cinema, it also brings out the best red carpet fashion outside of award season and Cannes. For Noah, the epic biblical-inspired movie, I thought I would be gushing about Emma Watson, granted I have already and she has looked gorgeous, but for me this promo tour has all been about Jennifer Connelly, who plays Noah’s wife in the film, as she has looked sensational.

I have loved every look she has worn, from the exquisite floral embellished Alexander McQueen gown from the autumn/winter 2014 collection that she wore to the London premiere to the blush pink Givenchy Couture gown that she wore in Mexico, this gown was Oscar worthy and it was lovely to see her in it – the fuchsia jewels were incredible and it fitted her perfectly.

Jennifer has also added a touch of sex appeal to her red carpet looks as well as statement floor length gowns, I really loved her in this gorgeous mint leaf-embroidered Giambattista Valli Couture mini – that ruby-embellished neckline totally makes this one knockout look. This Madrid look was also one of my favourite make-up looks from Jennifer as well – the fuchsia lip teamed with a slick bun really makes this one amazing look – both elegant and sexy.

Actually ever detail about her Noah promo tour has been spot on – from the mix up of designers, which is nice to see, to the various hair and make-up styles that she has gone for, as well as her love of embellished and classic pieces – her stylist Leslie Fremar and glam squad really have done a great job.

It is hard to choose a favourite look, I love her classic custom Lanvin black velvet column gown that she wore in Berlin, because the thigh-high slit was classy and went perfectly with those Christian Louboutin heels and her hair styled in a tucked-under ’do is divine, but I think the pink embellished Givenchy Couture just wins out for me as this gown deserved a red carpet appearance.

Which of Jennifer Connelly’s styles gets your vote?

Cover Loving: Diane Kruger For S Moda

SModa-april-Diane-Kruger-1

My girl crush Diane Kruger has been on a role lately, numerous magazine covers, great reviews for her latest flick and more importantly a stylish promo tour, and then this week she was announced as the new face of the up-coming Chanel skincare advertising campaign – so when I saw this incredible cover and editorial from the April issue of Spanish magazine, S Moda, I just had to share – OMG – wow!!!

SModa-april-Diane-Kruger-8Wearing a stripy sequinned Marc Jacobs jumpsuit, this is one gorgeous cover shot by David Roemer – I love everything from the pose, the position of her legs is a little awkward but I like that, to the incredible monochrome jumpsuit styled perfectly by Christopher Campbell, and then I zoned in on her face and I was completely blown away – I love the dramatic eye make-up and her wild hair. Simply beautiful.

The rest of the editorial is just as strong, so strong that I think these might be up there with some of my favourite shots of Diane, and it is all down to the styling – very edgy and so, so sexy. I love the sporty Theyskens’ Theory dress, the monochrome magic of the Lanvin ensemble where she is wearing a body and a skirt, which I am sure is a little reminiscent to the one that Jennifer Lawrence wore, and the embellished trench is divine, but my favourite has to be the all-black Salvatore Ferragamo look teamed with over-the-knee boots and chunky necklaces.

What do you think of Diane’s latest magazine shoot? Do you like the styling?

Also let me know below in the comments if you are a fan of her becoming a face for Chanel Skincare.

Film Independent Spirit Awards: Jennifer Lawrence In Lanvin

Spirit-awards-Jennifer-lawrence

Who: Jennifer Lawrence

Where: At the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards at Santa Monica Beach, sponsored by Jameson

Wearing: A black Lanvin dress featuring a wrap skirt with drop hem, an obi style belt tied into a bow and a strappy cut-out back, which was finished off with a silver crystallised choker-style collar, teamed with black ankle strap heels

Verdict: This is the first dress in a while I have actually thought of Jennifer Lawrence as being 22-years-old, this dress has a youthful, fun vibe to it with the striking collar, the wrap-style skirt, and the asymmetrical hem, plus I am loving that it is a little risky with the side straps and open back.

But is this little black dress a little too polished and smart for the relaxed Independent Spirit Awards? I don’t think so, Jennifer is the toast of Hollywood at the moment and I love that she could have worn something less refined, less fashion-forward, that was more causal and mature looking – with this dress she had fun, and she looks comfortable and sexy, which is a great combination.

I am also in love with her flawless barley-there make-up and that simple top-knot – finished off this look perfectly – all I can say is roll on her Oscar look tonight!!!Spirit-awards-J-lawrence[Pics: by Dimitrios Kambouris/WireImage for Jameson]
