On Saturday, a host of celebrities hit the red carpet to attend the LACMA 2012 Art + Film Gala host by Gucci honouring Ed Ruscha and Stanley Kubrick – I have already gushed about Rosie, but two other ladies that also impressed me were Amy Adams and Cameron Diaz both wearing yellow.
Both went for spring/summer 2013 collection looks, Cameron opted for a short number showing off her fab legs, whereas Amy went for an elegant floor-skimming gown with a bejewelled waistband. Both look amazing, both really pull off this tricky yellow colour, not quite sunshine yellow, not quite mustard it is somewhere in-between and in some photographs it even looked a little neon, but I love the contrast of the short and long it made both looks stand out for me.
Amy’s look is more traditional for a gala even, it is floor-length, has added sparkle with the waistband and her clutch and I love the strapless silhouette - but there is something about Cameron’s bell-sleeve belted mini that is just so fun and I absolutely love the crystal-embellished floral neckline.
Which girl in yellow gets your vote – Amy or Cameron? Even with Cameron’s legs looking amazing in this dress I am going to have to say that Amy’s long gown just pips her.
