It was only a matter of time wasn’t it until Catherine Middleton was immortalised into a Barbie doll and I am so pleased that it is in her gorgeous wedding dress. Timed with the her one-year wedding anniversary to Prince William the collector gift set will be available in April for £99.99 (or $100) and die-hard Royal and Barbie fans can pre-order these gorgeous set from tomorrow at Amazon and Barbie Collector.
This was a royal wedding that I think touched a lot of people and I am sure that having the dolls wearing their iconic outfits is going to make this one extremely popular Barbie set.
I just love Prince William looking regal in his traditional uniform featuring a red jacket, blue sash and gold detailing – but this set is all about Catherine’s floor-length ivory gown, which is a complete replicate of the gown designed by Sarah Burton. Barbie really has put in all the details that made Catherine’s gown exquisite from the lace torso, to the full skirt and the delicate veil, as well as her drop earrings. Finishing off the Catherine doll nicely is a gorgeous tiara – well come on a Princess isn’t complete without it now is she!!!
So Barbie and Royal fans will you be buying this collector’s set?
Who: Catherine Middleton, The Duchess of Cambridge
Where: At the world premiere of DreamWorks Pictures’ War Horse directed by Steven Spielberg at the Odeon Leicester Square
Wearing: A custom black lace floor-length Temperley London gown with plunging neckline, teamed with a black velvet Pretty Ballerina by Mascaró clutch with bow detailing
Verdict: With today being the Duchesses 30th birthday, first up Happy Birthday Catherine, secondly how I love that she has revived lace.
There is something so romantic and racy about lace all at the same time that I just love, and having this dress with a black lace overlay with a plunging neckline it is just perfection for me. This is a gorgeous red carpet dress, that has a sexiness about it as well as regal glamour. I know that some are saying it is old-fashioned, but I love it.
I do love wedding pictures, and these gorgeous snaps of the Royal Wedding taken by Hugo Burnand in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace are just so adorable.
My favourite snap has to be this one of the Bridge and Groom, TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in the centre with their bridesmaids and page boys, (clockwise from bottom right: The Hon. Margarita Armstrong-Jones, Miss Eliza Lopes, Miss Grace van Cutsem, Lady Louise Windsor, Master Tom Pettifer, Master William Lowther-Pinkerton).
I have to admit I was hoping for one of Catherine, William, Pippa and Harry, with all the flirting going on yesterday I bet that is one cheeky snap!!!
Like every bride, Catherine Middleton choose to change into something else for the evening reception, and once again it was a stunning gown designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen.
The white sweetheart neckline satin Alexander McQueen gown, has exquisite detailing with its diamanté waist band, simple-yet-elegant, and to finish the look was an adorable white mohair cropped cardigan.
The Duchess of Cambridge is glowing in this gorgeous and elegant gown, perfect for the evening reception, and it was nice to see the Duke of Cambridge in a tux, very James Bond!!
