Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball: Kate Hudson In Reem Acra

Kate hudson reem acra Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball: Kate Hudson In Reem Acra %tagWho: Kate Hudson

Where: At the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball, held at the Rockefeller Center in New York City

Wearing: A Tiffany-blue Reem Acra gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, bow-tie detailing to the waist, and a thigh-high split from the Resort 2013 collection, teamed with Tiffany & Co. jewellery, Jimmy Choo nude peep-toe ‘Crown’ platform heels, and a metallic textured leather ‘Ava’ box clutch by Tiffany & Co.

Verdict: What I love about Kate Hudson is that she always ups the glamour stakes on a red carpet and this inspired Tiffany-blue gown is totally divine. There is a an old-school Hollywood glamour about this incredible look, maybe it is the pale blue colour of the gown, maybe it is the sweetheart neckline, or maybe it is just a combination of the knock-out gown, her hair side-swept into gorgeous waves, and her seductive but not OTT Angelina Jolie pose, showing off just the right amount of leg!!!

I also have to give her credit for not over-doing the jewellery, which must have been hard having the pick of all of Tiffany & Co., but her pear-shaped morganite and diamond earrings are simply exquisite and worked better than if she had chosen a necklace, and looked perfect with her diamond bracelet and pink diamond ring, all from the 2013 Blue Book Collection. I can’t help but swoon over Tiffany jewels

Kate always seems to get it so right and this has to be one of the most gorgeous looks I have seen from the blonde beauty in a while – everything about it screams glamour, which surely is the point for a Tiffany & Co. ball.

Are you a fan of Kate Hudson’s latest red carpet look?

Movie Marathon: Top 5 Fashion Films

Fashion films top5 s Movie Marathon: Top 5 Fashion Films %tag

This week I was treated to a screening of one of my favourite films Breakfast at Tiffany’s starring the uber-stylish Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golighty by the Millennium Hotel in Mayfair and it got me thinking about what other stylish films I love to watch. There are a lot in my collection so narrowing down to five was hard, but here they are – do you agree?

1. The September Issue

With New York Fashion Week taking place at the moment and the fashion train coming to London on Friday, one of my favourite films that gives a great insight into the world of fashion has to be The September Issue. If you haven’t seen it and want to know what it takes to make a magazine, a look into how Anna Wintour works, and see Grace Coddington in action then this is the fashion film for you. Each time I watch I see/learn something different.

2. Breakfast at Tiffany’s

I think Holly Golighty has to be the original party girl and Audrey Hepburn plays her with such style and elegance and I love her oversized sunnies, the hats, and the tailored dresses. Plus George Peppard isn’t bad to look at!!! I love the idea of doing a day of firsts, playing Moon River on repeat, and I totally agree looking into Tiffany’s windows calms me right down as well. An iconic movie that never gets old, each time I see I love it a little more.

3. How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days

I couldn’t have my top five fashion films without including this Kate Hudson romantic comedy with the hunky Matthew McConaughey. Just for her incredible yellow gown at the end, paired with the gorgeous Isadora diamond it is a stylish must-see flick. But it is more than that, I also love her backless grey dress that she wears to the bar and her laid-back causal jeans and vest on the motorbike, basically this film just makes me love Kate Hudson even more. Can you imagine Gwyneth Paltrow as Andie? Apparently she was down to play the lead – I just don’t think the film would have been the same.

4. Sex and the City

Fashion and SATC goes hand-in-hand and I couldn’t do a fashionable movie marathon without including New York’s most stylish ladies – Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. I loved the series, I had/have an obsession on Sarah Jessica Parker and her character Carrie, everything from her signature necklace, her love of shoes and her boy troubles and this big screen version cheers me right up. Plus you have to watch just to see Carrie in that gorgeous Vivienne Westwood wedding gown!!!

5. The Devil Wears Prada

Not only do I love this film because it is supposedly based on Lauren Weisberger’s real life while she was at Vogue, but it was Anne Hathaway’s breakaway film from the Princess Diaries, oh and I do love a transformation film. Plus this film is packed full of fashionable looks, from Andy’s Chanel blazer, that distressed studded bag, the hats, oh and that black John Galliano dress. Oh and I do love any film that includes shots of Paris.

There were a lot of films I had to leave out like Clueless, Some Like It Hot, Almost Famous – a classic Kate Hudson film, Coco Before Chanel, and another Audrey Hepburn classic, Funny Face.

What are you favourite go-to fashion flicks?

Golden Globes 2013: Kate Hudson In Alexander McQueen

kate hudson mcqueen Golden Globes 2013: Kate Hudson In Alexander McQueen %tagWho: Kate Hudson

Where: At the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California

Wearing: A black long-sleeved Alexander McQueen gown that featured gold-embroidered detailing to the high neck, a deep cut-out to the front, and gold embellished belt to nip in the waist from the pre-autumn/winter 2013 collection, teamed with a bronze clutch

Verdict: Talking on the red carpet Kate Hudson explained that this McQueen number “was a last-minute decision” because “the other dress weighed 500 pounds” – which gets my mind racing to what could have topped this?

There is certainly something mesmerizing about Kate that I have always been excited to see what she is wearing when she steps out onto a red carpet, which hasn’t been that often lately, so I was pleased to see her down as a presenter, and this look certainly didn’t disappoint.

This dress is three-dimensional – it has an elegance in its silhouette, I love the slight train, then there is an added glamour with the gold detailing and then of course with Kate it has a touch of sexiness about it with the keyhole detailing to the bust. Basically this dress is just absolutely stunning and my favourite black gown from the event.

Finishing off a gorgeous look Kate kept her hair and make-up simple, opting to keep her blonde locks down and wearing minimal make-up.

I love this look – what do you rate Kate’s style?

Toronto Film Festival: Kate Hudson In Alexander McQueen

Who: Kate Hudson

Where: At the Toronto Film Festival premiere of The Reluctant Fundamentalist

Wearing: A white long-sleeve Alexander McQueen gown with silver embellishments down the front, padded shoulders and a thigh-high central spilt from the Resort 2013 collection, teamed with a white Alexander McQueen Knucklebox clutch and white heels

Verdict: I am loving the film festival season this year, Venice brought glamour and sexiness, and it seems that has travelled to Toronto as I am loving this Alexander McQueen dress on Kate Hudson.

Kate is one of those stars that simply shines, whether it is in an exquisite gown like this or her rocking some boho daytime look, I simply adore her style. But there is something different about Kate’s red carpet shine lately, from the divine Atelier Versace gown she wore in Venice to this incredible McQueen dress, she seems more glossy. I am not complaining, she looks incredible, but I just feel like there is a change in Kate.

I put Kate down among one of my favourite red carpet stars along with Diane Kruger and I am loving this white gown on her. Do you love her look?

Venice Film Festival: Kate Hudson Shimmers In Atelier Versace

Who: Kate Hudson

Where: At the Venice Film Festival opening ceremony

Wearing: A one-strap nude-toned fully beaded Atelier Versace gown from the autumn/winter 2012 collection, teamed with a gold clutch and Fabergé jewellery

Verdict: This is the first look from Atelier Versace autumn/winter 2012 collection to hit the red carpet and Kate has blown me away. I knew she would when I saw she was down to attend the Venice Film Festival – but I didn’t know that she would look as good as this.

This is one gorgeous gown and Kate looks incredible – her body, her chic updo, her make-up, her simple but dazzling jewellery – everything about this look is perfection.

Kate might not have been a regular on the red carpet this year but she seriously always gets it right for me. What do you think of Kate’s look?

Bag Lust: Kate Hudson Carries The Jimmy Choo Tatum

KateHudsonJimmyChoo Bag Lust: Kate Hudson Carries The Jimmy Choo Tatum %tag

I first lusted after this Bohemian-inspired and glamorous Jimmy Choo Tatum bag after I spotted Jennifer Lopez carrying it back in 2010, but I am loving how Kate Hudson has dressed this fringed beauty in a casual vibe while in London recently.

Kate Hudson has a style that I love, she always looks gorgeous dressed for the red carpet, but she really does do casual well. I am loving her combination of riding boots, teamed with a chunky roll-neck jumper and leggings, that alone is perfect, add this hippy fringe-trim textured woven leather and suede Jimmy Choo bag and it makes it one cool look.

I have searched about and it seems this Jimmy Choo bag isn’t available any more, not that I could afford it anyway as it was close to the $3k mark, but just for those chain-link straps I can’t stop dreaming about this bag – simply gorgeous!!!

Something Borrowed: Kate Hudson Glows In Versace

Who: Kate Hudson

Where: At the LA premiere of her new flick Something Borrowed

Wearing: A yellow chiffon Versace gown modified from the autumn/winter 2011 collection with a cascading train, finished with a gold minaudiere

Verdict: Wow, Kate always looks stunning, but pregnancy really does agree with her as she is positively glowing in this gorgeous dress. I love the summery shade of this gown, perfect for an LA premiere in the sun, and great to show off her growing bump.
