Who could forget Jeremy Scott‘s explosive, fun, junk food-inspired autumn/winter 2014 collection for Moschino, I think the French fries iPhone cover was Instagrammed by all the top bloggers within days of the catwalk show, well it seems that for his first ad campaign he has gone for a more iconic, timeless approach and I adore it. Starring Linda Evangelista and shot by Steven Meisel, the campaign is less trashy-chic and more classy than I was expecting after seeing the McDonald’s Moschino Happy Meal handbags and SpongeBob Square Pants knits hit the Milan catwalk – the gaudy colours have been replaced for a classic black and white
If I said to you that a French fashion house went for a Pitbull song as the track to their latest campaign, be honest you would think I had lost the plot, well that is what Lanvin has done for autumn/winter 2011. The campaign shot by Steven Meisel features super models Karen Elson and Raquel Zimmerman busting some shapes to Pitbull’s ‘I Know You Want Me’, and it is a super fun and stylish video. It is so good it even makes me question whether a print campaign was even needed. I am so glad that this campaign turned out
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REijWgtUwuQ Back in September the fashion world was a buzz with Tom Ford returning to womenswear in New York, well finally the show has been released and it is an amazing masterpiece of drama and fashion rolled into one. I love that Tom Ford stands by the sidelines throughout presenting each piece, taking in the intimate setting to debut his first womenswear collection in six years. For me Beyonce and Julianne Moore stole the runway from the models – both looking fabulous and confident, and definitely fore-filled Tom Ford’s concept of real women. I have obviously seen the images of the collection online, but
I have been obsessed with this Burberry shearling leather aviator jacket since it strutted down the runway in February and it looks amazing on the October cover of Harper’s Bazaar – oh and the flame-haired beauty that is Karen Elson also looks great!! But check out that subscriber cover – I spy a Miu Miu metal floral appliqué – magazine Editor’s really are loving that collection. The October issue is on sale September 7.
