Met Gala 2012: Kristen Bell A Vision In Orange

Who: Actress Kristen Bell

Where: At the 2012 Met Gala in New York

Wearing: An orange crinkle silk chiffon Tommy Hiliger gown with a halter criss-cross neckline and waist ruching, teamed with a gold Judith Leiber clutch and Van Cleef & Arpels jewellery

Verdict: There is something simple and elegant about this look in its silhouette that is made modern with the use of orange that I just adore. Firstly, Kristen Bell really is gorgeous, and this orange hue teamed with gold accessories really works against her skintone and blonde locks, which looks amazing swept to the side.

This isn’t one of my top looks, but close, what do you think are you loving Kristen’s look?

Avengers Assemble: Cobie Smulders In Reem Acra

Who: Actress Cobie Smulders

Where: At the “Marvel’s The Avengers” Premiere during the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival at the Borough of Manhattan Community College in New York City

Wearing: An orange Reem Acra v-neck gown with embellished cap sleeves from the spring/summer 2012 collection, teamed with a gold Judith Leiber clutch, a matching cuff, and drop earrings

Verdict: I am loving Cobie Smulders she has really surprised me on this Avengers promo tour, each look has been amazing, I loved the sexy Donna Karan, she blew me away in that vibrant red Alexandra Vidal, but I think this bold orange has to be my favourite and it is all because of those amazing embellished cap sleeves.

Which has been your favourite Cobie look?

Golden Globes: Michelle Williams In Jason Wu

Who: Golden Globe-winning actress Michelle Williams

Where: At the 69th Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles

Wearing: An amethyst coloured burn-out velvet Jason Wu column gown with three-quarter sleeves, accessorised with a Judith Leiber clutch, and a vintage Fred Leighton headband

Verdict: I am sure this look could go either way for Michelle, for me I love this velvet gown it has something a little different to it, but I am sure for a lot this will just be so far from a traditional awards gown that it will make its way onto worst dressed lists. As well as the colour being perfect, the dress itself looks incredible on her, but what makes it for me is that touch of Twenties class with the vintage headband. Out of all the headbands that rocked the red carpet from Charlize Theron to Busy Phillips I think Michelle’s works the best.

Met Gala 2011: Ashley Greene Wows In Donna Karan

Who: Actress Ashley Greene

Where: At the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City

Wearing: A custom made blush tulle draped strapless Donna Karan gown embroidered with platinum sequins in a fishbone pattern, teamed with a Judith Leiber clutch

Verdict: This was of the best surprises of the night for me, not only is this a gown with intricate detailing but I was surprised that Ashley Greene was the one wearing it. This I think is my best dressed of the night, truly spectacular, and I am glad that she worked this dress as it could have easily overpowered her.
