Introducing: Shore Projects Watches

shore projects watch 4 Introducing: Shore Projects Watches %tag

I am fast becoming a little bit of a watch hoarder, collector, wearer **delete as appropriate**, I blame my fiancé, watches really are his thing. My obsession started as a way to frame my bracelet stacks, to add a splash of colour to an outfit, or a touch of bling. Basically I couldn’t find one watch to do the job, which apparently is weird, well according to one of my friends who insists that you only need one watch, as it just tells the time!!! Which got me thinking is there really one watch out there that could work for any occasion, any look, any mood?

Well strangely I think I might have actually found a watch to coordinate with nearly any outfit, excluding a black-tie ball of course, a cool new British watch brand, Shore Projects, which has created a gorgeous and fun collection of timepieces inspired by the seaside.

What is so great about this brand, other than the fact they are British, is that they have created four classic watch faces, all named after seaside resorts, which can easily be transformed with a quick swap of the watch strap. So one day you could wear vibrant yellow, the next girlie pink, then the fun and flirty mint green and then another day could be the gorgeous blue pastel hue. You will never get bored of this brand.

I think the reason this brand works is the classic design of the watch face, I do love large round faces, especially in brushed silver, it really is timeless. My favourite, seen above, is Poole, brushed silver with a white face, Whitstable is the same silver finish but with a black face, and then there are two brushed gold options, Portland with the white and St Ives with the charcoal face.

It is the quick and easy strap mechanism, trust me it takes seconds to change, which makes it easy to do a daily swap on the straps that makes this a brand to watch. I have always loved an element of customisation to my look without actually doing much in the way of DIY and Shore Projects gets that with the eight classic colours to choose from, and then the added bonus of regular additions, I am loving the summer polka dot collection, and I am hoping for some metallic hues for day-to-night vibes in future collections.

Shore Projects watches, which come with one strap cost £85 each, additional straps cost £15 each from the classic collection, and £20 for the polka dot line. I already have my eye on adding the Ocean Blue Polka Dot and the classic Orange straps, I will soon have one for every day of the week!!!

Have you discovered Shore Projects watches? What do you think of changing your watch straps every day?

Introducing: Cred Jewellery

cred jewellery bracelet Introducing: Cred Jewellery %tagThere is something special about jewellery that I love and I think that it is more than just fashion. I find that most of my jewellery is a keepsake with each ring, bracelet, necklace and pair of earrings having their own memories, whether it is who gave it to me, where I wore it, what happened when I wore it, or just how it made me feel, which is generally amazing as I always find added sparkle really does complete my outfit.

I have a lot of jewellery that has been gifted to me, from my fiancé, my mum and even my best friends, but l have to be honest the magpie in me is always looking for new, quirky pieces, interesting brands, and something that will add that something special to my ever-growing stackable jewellery box.

One new brand on my radar, isn’t just pretty but also ethical and Fairtrade, Cred Jewellery. I first discovered this British brand at a press day a few months ago, I fell in love with its collaboration with the amazing Daisy Knight. I basically want it all from the Love Stamp charm bracelet to the Feather Tie bracelet, which is just screaming to be worn at a festival.

Bracelets is what I always check out first with a new jewellery brand, I do love my arm candy, but what surprised me the most about Cred Jewellery is how much it offers from delicate friendship bands to quirky rings, adorable necklaces, and an extensive bridal collection that includes engagement rings, wedding bands and gorgeous pieces for the big day. I am in love with the Aphrodite Collection, I do love the classic nature of  pearls on a bride, and I love that the prices start from £39, making this an ethical and affordable line of jewellery. How cute is that ring.

Arm Candy: Susie Wolff Wings for Life Bracelet

Wings for Life bracelet Arm Candy: Susie Wolff Wings for Life Bracelet %tag

Yesterday I shared my new bracelet, the ‘Wings for Life’ friendship bracelet designed by F1 test driver Susie Wolff with Rox Jewellery on Instagram and I got such a great response that I thought I would share it on here.

Last week my fiancé went to the annual Wings for Life fundraising gala, he does every year with work and last year he treated himself to a fancy watch signed by David Coulthard, and this year he thought of me and bought me one of the ‘Rox in a Box’, which raised more than £10,000 for the charity. I could of either won the only pair of diamond earrings or this fabulous sparkly limited bracelet – even though the earrings were worth more I think I won with this beauty.

As regular readers will know I do love a spot of arm candy, I never leave the house with out a handful of bracelets on my arm, and this grey rope toggle bracelet adorned with crystal set wings to represent the charity is the perfect addition to my expanding collection of jewels.

As well as being pretty, designed by a woman F1 driver, this bracelet is only £40 and 100% of all profits will be donated to the Wings for Life charity, which is an excellent organisation that does critical spinal cord research.

Come on what are you waiting for – do something for charity and get a great bracelet. Be warned these beauties are limited edition so snap yours up quick!!!!

Buy yours here for £40.

Jewellery Loving: Atelier Swarovski Christopher Kane SS14

swarovski ckane 3 Jewellery Loving: Atelier Swarovski Christopher Kane SS14 %tag

If there is one thing I love more than anything else, well except my boyfriend, family, friends and Barbie of course, has to be sparkles. There is something about a gorgeous piece of jewellery, whether it is a stunning pair of earrings, an arm stacked high with bracelets, or a statement necklace, jewellery can totally change-up any look as well as your mood.

I recently checked out the Atelier Swarovski spring/summer 2014 collection, which each season ties up with a number of designers, including Christopher Kane and Maison Martin Margiela **more to come on their amazing designs**, and I just had to share Kane’s updated iconic crystal mesh ‘Bolster’ collection, which has been reworked in new seasonal colour ways.

Not only is the design simple but I love how timeless the pieces are and no matter what colour each sparkles so beautifully. My favourite piece has to be the twist bolster necklace, where hundreds of individually set crystals have been combined and entwined to create a striking necklace, and finished off with a chunky clasp.

Starting at £210 for a Bolster bracelet to £700 for the Twist Bolster necklace, this collection isn’t cheap – but just think how chic the pieces would look on. I have to be honest I hope Santa is reading this as it would be amazing to unwrap a piece on Christmas morning!!!

Are you a fan of Christopher Kane’s jewellery collaboration with Swarovski?

My Style: ASOS Floral Dip-Dye Dress

Fashionista Barbie asos dress 7 My Style: ASOS Floral Dip Dye Dress %tag

Before the fashion craziness of September, my boyfriend and I always try to get away for a mini-break, so last week we headed to Wales for a spot of relaxation at a spa in Anglesey. More to come on the amazing hotel, the treatments and the island, but as I haven’t blogged an outfit post in nearly a month, so I thought I would share with you one of my favourite looks from my holibob.

This floral dip-dye smock dress is from ASOS and I bought it on a whim as it was in the sale, it still is and is only £18, I like the shape and the idea of wearing florals without being too girlie and bright. The thinking was I could wear during the summer with bright accessories and then come winter I could layer up with tights, boots and a chunky cardigan.

For dinner at the hotel one night I decided to wear this beauty paired with my bright orange heels from Marks & Spencer, I got them for a wedding last year and they are super comfortable and I love the pop of colour with the burn-out floral design of the dress. As I don’t have an orange belt, seriously the only colour I don’t own, I went with my trusty flower clasp beauty from Dorothy Perkins as this dress really needs to be nipped in a little otherwise it looks a little unflattering.

Finishing off my look I kept my jewellery simple, mainly because we were away to relax not get dressed up, so I wore my trusty Fossil watch that my mum got me for my birthday and my new favourite piece of arm candy – this cute bow bracelet from Kate Spade.

There is something about this dress that I love, and I think it works against the gorgeous backdrop of Anglesey, as it makes the pop of colours in the flowers and palm trees look even more vibrant.

Are you a fan of floral dresses and would you wear this beautiful dip-dye number?

AW13 Preview: Primark Has The Trends Covered

AW13 primark 1 AW13 Preview: Primark Has The Trends Covered %tag

Each season Primark seems to be developing its offering, it is a high street store that is no longer just for picking up basics such as boyfriends tees, or a statement piece of jewellery for a night out – this is a shop that is has really upped its game to bring shoppers the latest trends at affordable prices.

For most, me included, trends can be a little scary, they are mostly out of people’s comfort zones and you are never sure how long they are going to last. What I love about Primark is that it is a place where you can test out a trend, save a few bob along the way, while still looking good.

For autumn/winter 2013 there are several key trends to look out for – from the pink invasion to 90’s grunge, sporty and minimal, as well as punk. Some are easier than others, for instant adding a touch of pink to your wardrobe is probably the easiest to wear, and I love that Primark has a lovely selection from sugary hues to vibrant bold pinks, so whether you want to make a statement in a pink coat, or add a touch of pink with a gorgeous jumper or a tailored pair of trousers – there will be a lot of options.

Minimal and sporty is also a trend that’s easy to master, you will probably already have a lot of options in your wardrobe as it is a continuation from a spring/summer trend. In Primark you will find pieces with an elegant edge – from block coloured dresses, to coats with contrasting panels, as well as some cute sparkly trainers.

One of my favourite trends for autumn/winter has to be the return of the 90’s grunge, think lots of tartan, crackled leather, lace up boots, and statement jewellery.

Whether you are updating your wardrobe with some key staples or adding a few statement pieces – trust me pop into Primark you may be surprised with what you come out with!!!

What are you thoughts on Primark’s autumn/winter 2013 collection?

AW13 Preview: The Gorgeous ASOS Collection

AW13 ASOS 33 AW13 Preview: The Gorgeous ASOS Collection %tag

So a couple of weeks ago I was invited to ASOS headquarters in London to check out their autumn/winter 2013 collection, find out the trends that are going to be big, the pieces that are bound to sell out and basically put together my autumn shopping list!!!

Everything from transitional pieces, that are already on the site now, to the eclectic ASOS Africa collection filled with animal prints and checks, to the gorgeous coats that I am going to want to wrap up warm in were on display.

There were lots of trends represented from the punk-influenced tartan and leathers, I really love the tartan dress, to clashing textures and prints from soft fluffy knits and brocades to paisley and polka dot prints, plus the very best of the 90s has been given a modern makeover including cute patchwork denim jackets.

As well as wanting all the oversized coats, the lovely and warm looking orange scarf, the incredible ASOS Africa mash-up dress featuring leopard print and checks, the jewellery and accessories are so strong this season – from gorgeous layered necklaces, to fun numbered hoops and divine colourful bags – especially the orange rucksack.

If the clothing, shoes, bags, and jewellery wasn’t enough – ASOS are expanding into stationery, and with my weakness for notepads, pens and generally anything cute – I want it all!!!

Which pieces from the ASOS AW13 collection are catching your eye?
