Shop Her Style: Nicole Richie Casual In Proenza Schouler

Who: Nicole Richie

Where: In New York City promoting her new TV show, Fashion Star, which I am so hoping comes to the UK

Wearing: A mint coloured knitted zebra-print Proenza Schouler jumper from the spring/summer 2012 collection, paired with classic black skinny jeans, House of Harlow 1960 tan coloured heels and shoulder bag, as well as her signature oversized sunglasses

Verdict: I seriously love Nicole Richie’s casual vibe, she really does ooze style no matter what she is wearing, on paper this is just jeans and a jumper, but I am in love with this Proenza Schouler jumper mainly because it isn’t leopard print I much prefer zebra stripes than spots. I also adore the mint pastel shade, pastel shades are everywhere for spring/summer and this light green is one of my favourite shades after dusky pink of course!!!

As well as the jumper this look is complemented by fab accessories from her own fashion label – I love the tan shoes with the black and mint, I wouldn’t have thought this would work but it does.

Buy Her Style: Her zebra-printed Proenza Schouler is divine and on sale at Net-a-Porter for £380, where they pair it with a pleated leather skirt, but I am loving the jumper-jeans combo so I have also picked out my fav black designer skinnies below.

2. 7 For All Mankind ‘Gwenevere’ skinny jeans, £185, Donnaida.com

Cover Loving: Nicole Richie For Flare

I was talking about how amazing the Canadian fashion magazine Flare is during London Fashion Week, as well as my disappointment that the hard copy is still not available to buy here, which makes it even worse when I see amazing covers like this!!!

Nicole Richie looks fantastic as Flare’s April coverstar wearing a jacket, top and a skirt by Roberto Cavalli, and of course keeping up the good work as brand ambassador for her label she also works a ring by House of Harlow 1960.

Not only does Nicole look stunning, but I am loving the combination of the mint-green background and the shimmering beauty that is that Roberto Cavalli skirt – seriously WOW!!! Not only do I love all the exquisite embroidery detail around the waistband, but I love how the large gold sequins captures a rainbow of shades.

This is one stylish cover and I have to admit I am super jealous of all you Canadian readers out there that can pick up this magazine from March 12 – lucky buggers!!!

Golden Globes: Nicole Richie In Julien MacDonald

Who: Nicole Richie

Where: At the 69th Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles

Wearing: A silver beaded Julien MacDonald floor-length gown, teamed with Jimmy Choo heels, and a metallic clutch from her House of Harlow line

Verdict: I always love it when a British designer is chosen for these big award ceremonies, and loved how Nicole described the dress to Ryan Seacrest, “I would describe this dress as very heavy,” which emphasis the intricate detailing in the beading that kind of looks a little like chainmail. I love that Nicole added a bohemian vibe to her look with the stacked bracelets, as well as working her own line by carrying her clutch, both went perfectly with this gown.

Video Loving: House of Harlow 1960 – Fall 2011

Nicole Richie looks stunning in this video showcasing pieces from her fall 2011 collection for her jewellery label House of Harlow 1960. The brand complements her Winter Kate ready-to-wear label, and for fall the collection plays with ‘the juxtaposition of casual and luxe’, and I have to admit it is gorgeous.

I have fallen in love with the big gold cuff *around the 15 second mark* as well as that completely exquisite head-piece, if only I could look as cool as Nicole Richie wearing it!!!
