When I think pussy-bow blouses prim and proper 70s chic comes to mind, and if I’m honest a little fussy and out-dated, well the style has been reinvented for autumn/winter 2015. It’s no longer just reserved for ladylike looks it has more of a bohemian vibe and was seen on the catwalks at Gucci, Mother of Pearl, Chloé, Emilio Pucci, Bottega Veneta and Haider Ackermann.
When I say reinvention, I don’t mean the style, the blouses are still rocking beautiful neck-ties, but the way in which they are being styled makes them fresh and modern. The boho vibe has seen them paired with flared jeans for a relaxed look, or sheer styles paired with leather skirts, or layered under jumpers.
There’s a real romance about the style, I really love the sheer styles, but the delicate chiffon beauties are my favourite, and trust me this will be one of the most versatile pieces you can buy this autumn/winter, you really can’t go wrong with a classic blouse it will go with everything. If you are thinking the style is too girlie or fussy, just go for a one with a smaller bow, you don’t have to go for the statement version to be on-trend, and you don’t even have to do up the bow.
