Cover Loving: Rihanna For Glamour US

Glamour us nov rihanna Cover Loving: Rihanna For Glamour US %tag

Wow, now this is a whole different side of Rihanna. Gracing the November issue of Glamour US, Rihanna looks gorgeous and girlie showing off her curly cropped hair and striking eyes. Normally the singer is all about sex appeal, but what I love about this cover is how girlie she looks, with a touch of RiRi attitude of course!!!

Wearing a Dior bodysuit, Kenneth Jay Lane hoop earrings and a Lynn Ban cuff, this is one gorgeous cover, but what draws you in though has to be her make-up, from her dramatic eyes to the soft lip colour.

Made-up using products from her own Mac collection, I love the bronze and gold metallic eye shadow and strong eyeliner – it really does make her green eyes pop. With her eyes looking so incredible it looks like the rest of her face is make-up less. Simply gorgeous.

For me this is one captivating cover – are you a fan of RiRi’s latest editorial?

Editorial Loving: Chloe Moretz Channels Old Hollywood For US Glamour

Do you ever see some editorials and think why wasn’t that on the cover? Well that’s how I am feeling about the September issue of US Glamour. For the ‘Hollywood Issue’ the magazine went for Jennifer Aniston, yes I know she still sells covers, yes she does have a film out, but it just didn’t blow me away, on the other hand this editorial featuring young starlet Chloe Moretz channelling Old Hollywood glamour is divine.

Shot by legendary photographer Patrick Demarchelier, the young actress of Kickass fame looks gorgeous in this editorial which mixes 1940′s Hollywood with a touch of 90′s grunge. At only 16, Chloe looks incredible dressed in looks by Diane Von Furstenberg, Chanel, Saint Laurent, and Isabel Marant.

Just imagine what an impact her black and white pictures would have made on the cover – I know not very Glamour, but come on for the September issue they could have so pulled it off.

I haven’t seen Chloe look this good before in editorials, it is a little mature possible for age, but I think that’s why it works so well and she looks absolutely flawless. I can see many luxury brands considering her as a future face – especially beauty and fragrance brands.

What do you think of Chloe Moretz glamorous editorial? Do you think that Glamour should have taken a chance and placed her on the September issue cover?chloe moretz glamour sept Editorial Loving: Chloe Moretz Channels Old Hollywood For US Glamour %tag chloe moretz glamour sept 1 Editorial Loving: Chloe Moretz Channels Old Hollywood For US Glamour %tag chloe moretz glamour sept 3 Editorial Loving: Chloe Moretz Channels Old Hollywood For US Glamour %tag chloe moretz glamour sept Editorial Loving: Chloe Moretz Channels Old Hollywood For US Glamour %tag chloe moretz glamour us sep Editorial Loving: Chloe Moretz Channels Old Hollywood For US Glamour %tag chloe moretz glamour sept 2 Editorial Loving: Chloe Moretz Channels Old Hollywood For US Glamour %tag[Pics: Patrick Demarchelier/Glamour via thefashionspot.com]

Shopping: Glamour Team Up With Very

A couple of weeks ago, before fashion week madness kicked in, before I got ill, and before my Mum came to visit I was invited to a Google+ hangout with the Glamour editorial team to discuss their first designer collection with Very.co.uk.

If you haven’t seen the collection, check it out below – 13 great pieces that are basically a Glamour girls capsule wardrobe – a cute little black dress, one of my favourite pieces, a versatile white shirt, which you may recognise from my fashion week outfits, as well as a casual great sweatshirt, a jewelled collar, and a fun pink tutu – and best of all the most expensive piece is only £59!!!

One of my favourite pieces has to be the Broderie Trim Shirt – at only £35 this piece can be paired with a simple skate skirt or worn under a jumper – it has a great shape and cute details that I loved wearing it over fashion week.

Cover Loving: February Magazines Are All About Actresses

Vanity Fair jennifer lawren1 Cover Loving: February Magazines Are All About Actresses %tag

You can tell that it is award season as all the major magazines have gorgeous actresses gracing their covers. Vanity Fair has gone for Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence, Harper’s Bazaar have an elegant looking Anne Hathaway, Glamour UK goes girlie with Emma Stone, and Victoria Beckham’s designs score two covers with both Scarlett Johansson and Kristen Stewart wearing white on the covers of ELLE UK and V Magazine.

My favourite has to be the gorgeous Jennifer Lawrence sporting her natural blonde locks in a fun cover for Vanity Fair. Shot by Ellen von Unwerth there is a softness in Jennifer’s face on the cover that is transformed into a complete vixen for the accompanying editorial and I love it. Sometimes Jennifer can be a little too serious – this cover is fun and relaxed and definitely brightened up my day.

Vanity Fair jennifer lawren Cover Loving: February Magazines Are All About Actresses %tagemma stone glamour magazine Cover Loving: February Magazines Are All About Actresses %tagIt was close but my girl crush Emma Stone is my second favourite with her girlie cover for Glamour UK shot by Matthias Vriens-McGarth. Wearing a D&G botanical floral print, Emma is perfect for Glamour’s audience, I just wish they had gone for a different colour for the font – the orange is working for me. Anyone else was thinking this cover looks a little familiar? Well you would be right as a very similar shot from the same shoot was used for Glamour US back in May 2011.

Next up has to be Scarlett Johansson’s subscriber cover for ELLE UK’s February issue wearing a Burberry coat shot by Rankin. I like the newsstand version with her working a Victoria Beckham microbrush and lace dress but only from the ankles up, I am not loving those runway Manolo Blahnik for Victoria Beckham shoes. The subscriber cover is intriguing – I love the messy hair and seeing only one eye – Scarlett looks beautiful.

It was hard to decide who came next between Anne and Kristen, I am not blown away by either cover to be honest, but I think Harper’s Bazaar just takes it because of that gorgeous crystal-embellished Giorgio Armani strapless gown – all I can say about the rest is does Anne have a lazy eye?

Kristen doesn’t fair much better for me on V Magazine’s Spring 2013 issue. It isn’t that I don’t like the styling, the white Victoria Beckham vest with a black bra peeking out is fine, the make-up is grundy as you would expect from the Twilight actress – the problem I have is that I feel I have seen it all before – the wet hair, the moody look, the dark make-up around the eyes. Anyone else a little bored?

Cover Loving: Cheryl Cole All Smiles For Glamour

Glamour Dec Cheryl Cover Loving: Cheryl Cole All Smiles For Glamour %tag

Glamour’s finale cover of 2012, how crazy does that sound, has been released and it is such a pretty cover starring the gorgeous Cheryl Cole. I had wondered whether this would be a Girls Aloud cover with their return to the spotlight but it seems Chezza still has her solo pulling power.

Posing with a gold camera, that has been added to my Christmas wish-list, Cheryl looks happy, natural and stunning in a feathered Chanel dress and a cute messy bun for Glamour magazine’s December issue.

Normally Cheryl goes for sexy and seduction, which she does perfectly, but it is rare to see a smiling, happy and radiant Cheryl, maybe it has something to do with the new man in her life, or maybe it is the styling and direction that is spot on, whatever it is I like it.

Proving what a fun and laid-back shoot the pictures suggest, check out the behind-the-scenes video on Glamour’s website, I am loving the naughty dog!!!

I have to be honest I was kind of hoping for a full on Girls Aloud cover, did you see the girls at the tour launch? Kimberly is looking hot – I have added her stomach to my gym-inspiration list!!!

But saying that I will definitely be picking up the December issue of Glamour on November 1 – will you?

Cover Loving: Britney Spears Sparkles For Glamour

britneyglamour Cover Loving: Britney Spears Sparkles For Glamour %tag

Glamour magazine doesn’t really feature on my cover loving section, that isn’t because I am snobby, but I have to admit the magazine hasn’t really wowed me in the cover stakes for a while, that is until this gorgeous Britney Spears cover.

The pop princess looks amazing in a Matthew Williamson dress on the October issue of the British magazine. I don’t know whether touring really agrees with Britney or she is just finally in a very good place, but she looks hot in this long-sleeve metallic blue ombre dress adorned with feathers and sequins.

The rest of the Glamour shoot is just as sexy, in one shot Britney works a very short, lacy black dress with cut-out knee-high boots, and in another the magazine does an ode to lads mag with a pic of her in very slinky lingerie and just a fur coat.

If you haven’t already picked up the magazine I don’t want to spoil the interview but Britney talks about her best memories of the UK, hoping to see Prince William at one of her shows, as well as insight into her fashion musts, which include Flying Monkey jeans and Steve Madden shoes.
