Wearing: In a red Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown with high-neck and bow detailing, accessorised with a Louis Vuitton clutch and fine jewellery

Verdict: First up I am so glad that someone wore this Giambattista Valli Couture gown as it was one of my picks that I wanted to see on the red carpet, but it was only seeing it in red that I realised what a copy this dress is of the Balenciaga gown that Nicole Kidman wore to the Oscars back in 2007.

Granted it doesn’t stop Emma’s gown being gorgeous, I love the cut better than Nicole’s, I think the bigger bow really does work, and the colour is a deeper shade of red. I also love red hair paired with red gowns – just works for me.

Where: Arriving at the Civic Center for the American Idol’s Hollywood Week auditions this week

Wearing: Flared white Milly trousers, a black top, with a divine mustard Hamilton wool-crepe The Row coat from the autumn/winter 2011 collection, teamed with Charlotte Olympia Dolly platforms and over-sized sunglasses. Finishing off this sophisticated daytime look is a very glamorous Giambattista Valli leopard-print clutch, which works perfectly against that bright coat.

Verdict: I am loving Jennifer Lopez since she started on American Idol and I was excited to see her wearing the Olsen twins The Row recently in Hollywood, especially this perfect mustard yellow. I loved the 70s vibe of the whole look from the white flared trousers to her Charlie’s Angels bouncy hair and those huge sunglasses – she works this look to perfection and I adore it.

Where: At a reception dinner for the Kennedy Center Honorees at the U.S. State Department in Washington

Wearing: A floor-length black strapless Giambattista Valli gown from the resort 2012 collection, featuring origami fold detail at the bust, paired with a black clutch and peep-toe heels, and finished off with some gorgeous jewels by Fred Leighton, and hot red lippy and nails

Verdict: Appearing on the red carpet for the first time since becoming engaged to Adam Shulman, Anne looked amazing in this simple-yet-elegant black gown. I love the detailing on the bust, and I am so glad that she slicked her hair back into a ponytail, as the origami fold needed showing off. I also adore her flawless make-up, that red lippy and matching nails is perfection – makes that jewelled choker necklace sparkle.

Wearing: A sheer and black embroidered Zuhair Murad Couture gown from the autumn/winter 2011 collection, with one-sleeve, high-neck and her signature thigh-high split detailing

Verdict: What I love about Jennifer Lopez is that she never disappoints on bringing the drama to the red carpet, I might not always love what she is wearing, but what I do adore is that she fully commits to her look and this gorgeous Zuhair Murad is no exception. I love the styling of this look from the high bun to the nude lips, but come on no one could wear this dress like her, she looks so fierce.

As well as picking up Best Latin Music Artist, J-Lo also performed a medley of “Until It Beats No More” “Papi” and “On The Floor”, wearing this stunning Giambattista Valli couture gown and cape. I have been loving this autumn/winter 2011 couture collection and this strapless ombre leopard print is divine and works perfectly for J-Lo on stage.

Her looks didn’t stop there as to finish off her fashion spectacular at the AMAs J-Lo went a bit Britney Spears circa 2004. As part of her performance J-Lo whipped off her couture gown to reveal this bedazzled bodysuit. I couldn’t help think of Britney in her Toxic video. What do you think? As regularly readers will know I love Canadian’s Flare magazine, I have always struggled to get copies here in the UK but thanks to technology I now view on my iPad. I am excited to see the November 2011 issue as Kirsten Dunst looks absolutely stunning in a cover shot by Max Abadian. I adore the use of red and pink together, add in the beauty of Giambattista Valli and you have an amazing cover, this skirt is incredible.

Wearing: A leopard print Giambattista Valli dress from the Resort 2012 collection, finished off with a black grosgrain waistband and black heels

Verdict: I am not really a fan of animal print, but something about this sleek look made me look twice, I am not sure if it is the dress or Rachel herself who is simply stunning but I love this look. Maybe it is the larger animal print that makes this dress a little different, or that she has nipped in the dress with a simple belt, I don’t think it is just one thing but everything together just works. Great look.

Wearing: A red Giambattista Valli Haute Couture strapless gown and cape, teamed with Fred Leighton hoop earrings and a solitaire necklace

Verdict: Seriously crushing over this look, I know it was last week but I have only just caught up with it, I am loving the colour, the cape and her ponytail – if ever an outfit was her alter ego Carrie Bradshaw this is it.

This look is from Valli’s first Couture collection and with beauties like this I seriously hope more celebs work the looks on the red carpet.

Because of this look I have put cape to the top of my autumn/winter wish list, also just thinking about to my recent bridal obsessions don’t you think this work in an ivory colour for a winter wedding.
