Feeling Tropical In Gap

Feeling Tropical In Gap

There have been a lot of seaside backdrops this summer for my style posts, helped in part by the fabulous weather, lets just forget about the majority of July, as well as my love of a day trip, the sound of the sea lapping up the beach, as well as the joy of feeling sand between my toes, pure happiness.

For today’s style post adventure we headed over to Suffolk’s Southwold, a full-on quaint seaside town. It has everything a pier, colourful beach huts, adorable cafes, a lighthouse, fun arcades, a sandy beach and even a carousel, which all went perfectly with my tropical print Gap dress.

My Style Post Evolution

My Style Post Evolution

This year I hope you’ve notice a change in my style posts, it was one of my goals for 2015 to make this section feel more editorial, glossy, and inspirational – so I’ve been trying new things, finding great locations, as well as try and inject my personality over into the pictures, instead of being a nervous wreck. I have to be honest it is something I still find difficult, I still get nervous posing, I’m over critical in editing, lots of photos don’t make the cut, and I still need a confidence boost to press publish so you guys can see.

I mention on Instagram that my style posts have been on a journey this year, and thank you all for your lovely comments, it really has made me realised that I am on the right track. I think it has helped that I am doing them more regularly, something that you guys asked for and I hope that you’re enjoying seeing more of my style, it really has helped me step away from wearing jeans every day. I actually think it has been a while since jeans were the focus of a style post, and I’m quite proud that I keep pushing myself to try something new.

When Great Hair Makes An Outfit

When Great Hair Makes An Outfit

There is something about having great hair that not only gives you a confidence boost but it makes an average outfit look stunning. Without the big curl-bomb hair I’m not even sure I would have featured this denim skirt, black shirt, bomber jacket look, it’s a little casual, but add the big hair, sunshine and the Piccadilly location and it makes for a great outfit post, which really is all because of the great hair day.

It’s weird how much great hair can change my mood, my confidence, and even my general outlook, I don’t know about you but it really does make me happier, and I instantly feel prettier, oh how vain I am. But hey don’t we all need a little boost from time-to-time!!!

My Style: Shades Of Grey

My Style: Shades Of Grey

I’ve spoken about my hunt for the perfect grey winter coat previously, as this year I’m trying to just invest in classic pieces rather than trends, I had all but given up hope when I spied this beauty in the Gap sale, only one left, in my size, was down from £99.99 to £39.99 with another 40 percent off, so for £23.99 I picked up the best bargain I have found in a while, and I’m in love with it.
