Chanel: The Tale Of A Fairy by Karl Lagerfeld

Once again it seems that the Chanel Cruise collection will be showcased alongside another short film imagined, written and directed by Karl Lagerfeld. Entitled The Tale of a Fairy, the 30-minute film will be screened at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc at the Cap d’Antibes on May 9 alongside the 2011/2 Cruise line.

“It is a movie about an ill-advised use of money which begins with violence and ends with feeling” Karl Lagerfeld.

The flick features model Freja Beha Erichsen as the fairy of the title, and she is said to appear topless alongside co-star Chanel ambassador Anna Mouglalis who she shares a kiss with. Of course Karl’s favourite male model Baptiste Giabiconi also stars, as well as Amanda Harlech, Kristen McMenamy, Bianca Balti, Brad Koening, Jake Davies, Mark Vanderloo, Oriol Elcacho, Sébastien Jondeau, and Seth Kuhlmann.

Check out a clip on the Chanel website or below, and the full film can be seen on Chanel.com at 9pm on May 10 – I can’t wait.

SS11 Campaign: Louis Vuitton Goes Oriental For Spring

Last season the Louis Vuitton ad campaign, with its old-Hollywood glamour, and trio of supermodels got my vote for one of the best campaigns of the season. I think it had a lot to do with the Mad Men feel about the clothes and styling. Well for spring/summer 2011, LV have stuck with photographer Steven Meisel, and gone for models Raquel Zimmermann, Freja Beha Erichsen and Kristen McMenamy, but this time LV have gone for an oriental feel.

What strikes me the most about these shots are the accessories – absolutely gorgeous – I really want that fan!!

AW10 Campaign: Tom Ford Eyewear With Freja and Nicholas

Pic: Tom Ford

I loved the last Tom Ford Eyewear with Nicholas Hoult and Carolyn Murphy – but this autumn/winter 2010 campaign is a inspired Hitchcock-themed delight.

Once again lensed by Tom Ford himself, this time it stars the gorgeous Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen, alongside Nicholas Hoult.

Not only is the eyewear amazing – I love those sunnies in the top image – but what a cool idea for an ad campaign.

What do you think? Do you like the images?
