My Style: The Perfect Pink Jumper From Odd Molly

My style Odd Molly 6 My Style: The Perfect Pink Jumper From Odd Molly %tag

The sun is shining so of course I need to get my Barbie pink on!!! OK, so this look seems like I am covered up for winter, the gorgeous Odd Molly cable knit definitely photographs heavier than it is, but when the weather is nice, bright, but still a little chilly I love wearing knitted jumpers and jeans at the weekend – and for me spring sunshine is all about those moments when you can leave the house without a coat!!!

I was introduced to Odd Molly at an event last year, I have to be honest I hadn’t heard of the Scandinavian fashion brand before, but I have really fallen in love with its contemporary boho vibe, especially the jumpers and the smock-style dresses, it really is a label all about comfort, which I love.

This coral pink Corset Sweater really caught my eye, not only for the great colour, but for the details – the front is cute with its cable knit but this beauty is all about the lace knitted tie-string to the back. It adds something a little different and it definitely makes it summer ready.

Embracing the sun and the brighter outlook with this outfit I went for my trusty Ida by Donna Ida jeans but in the ice wash, rather than my go-to dark vintage hue. I worry wearing such a light colour of denim normally, I don’t have the smallest of thighs, but there is something about Donna Ida that just makes you feel and look great.

Finishing up my look are a few fun pieces of jewellery, first up is my Flamingo adorned Anna Lou of London enamel bangle, perfect when worn with a three-quarter sleeve jumper as this beauty really needs to be shown off. Then I have my beautiful butterfly necklace from Swarovski, I just love how delicate it is, and the colours really work with this jumper.

Are you a fan of a bright jumper when embracing the sun?

My Style: Jeans & Dotty Heels For LFW Day 5

LFW Day 5 outfit 15 My Style: Jeans & Dotty Heels For LFW Day 5 %tag

Day 5 of London Fashion Week is generally when I am full of ‘fashion flu’, done with all the bitching, too tired to string a sentence together, and so over outfit posing – this season was so much more fun than in previous years that I actually think I left my best and most comfortable look until today.

I rave a lot about Donna Ida and her own collection of jeans, IDA by Donna Ida – I have four pairs and counting and I love each one because they are so flatting, have lots of stretch and are high-waisted for the most perfect fit. These Ice Bright Vintage wash Mabel’s took a little bit of convincing for me to buy from the jean queen herself, I always shy away from such a light finish as I instantly think it will make me look fat, but I actually think these beauties make me look slim, and I never say that!!!

They were also the perfect shade of denim to pair with these cute polka dot heels from Russell & Bromley’s spring/summer 2014 collection that I kindly borrowed from The Apartment. I do love skinny jeans worn with high heels, I just don’t like stiletto height, so these were perfect and they were surprisingly so comfortable even on the cobbled street where Alex and I posed with balloons in front of a crowd of builders.

Finishing off my look is one of my favourite statement T-shirts, a cool wolf which kind of reminds me off those silver foil engraving art sets I used to get as a child. It is from Hobbs NW3 collection and I love that it can be dressed up or paired back with a chunky cardigan and biker boots.

Are you a fan of light denim? Or do you always go for darker washes as it is more flattering?

My Style: LFW Day 4 – Matching My Samsung Note 3 To My Bag

LFW Day 4 Outfit 7 My Style: LFW Day 4 Matching My Samsung Note 3 To My Bag %tag

This fashion week I have had a new toy, the Samsung Note 3, a smartphone and a tablet all rolled into one, or as the geeks call it a phablet. On paper you think it is going to be too big, as the screen has a 5.7” display – but it is this screen that really makes it perfect for taking pictures, answering emails, as well as doing a bit of blogging on the go. Plus it did feel good to have all my apps back after using a Windows 8.1 mobile for the past few months.

When Carphone Warehouse gifted me the gorgeous red version I was chuffed, not because I didn’t really like the white and rose gold, black or plain white versions, but because this red beauty really makes a statement, especially with its leather-effect back, which really helps with grip. Plus it really does look perfect alongside the gorgeous Russell & Bromley Gilt Edge handbag that I am finding hard to let go of.

I always love having a bright coloured mobile or case, as well as accessories as my wardrobe is generally black, navy blue or dark denim, and these red accessories really work well against this black leather skirt and silky black and grey top that I wore on day four of London Fashion Week.

Am I the only crazy one that accessories my phone to my outfit and my handbag??? Probably – but this Samsung Note 3 really did look at home with the Russell & Bromley beauty.

Also big shout out to Alex for these snaps in Hyde Park in between shows and chilling out at The Apartment, it was fun being photobombed by pigeons and squirrels!!!

My Style: Day 3 At London Fashion Week

LFW Day 3 Outfit My Style: Day 3 At London Fashion Week %tag

The weather this London Fashion Week has sucked, it has really thrown me off my outfit picking game, and has made me hate each and every look I have worn for a while. I think it is the fact that you have to rush to get the shot and the fact that the weather is making everyone so miserable – but I really wanted to share this amazing midi skater dress from ASOS.

Wearing this dress felt amazing, super flattering and was a great colour, I love navy, and it is a great length – plus at £42 is it also a great price – I will be wearing this beauty a lot. But for some reason it didn’t photograph as well as it felt, which is probably down to my poor posture and my current uncomfortableness in front of the camera than the dress.

To brighten up the dress I paired with my LFW Russell & Bromley bag – the Gilt Edge, as well as a cute pink watch from Fossil and some silver jewellery.

Nothing too showy, just simple and comfortable for a day of shows.

My Style: Winter Wedding Florals

My style winter florals 1 My Style: Winter Wedding Florals %tagThis weekend I went to the wedding of our good friends Tim and Katie in Bristol, not only was it so much fun catching up with friends who looked so much in love, it got me even more excited about my big day coming up in November.

As we were staying at the venue, the stunning Berwick Lodge, I could wear something that didn’t need a coat and that wasn’t too warm as I didn’t need to go far in the awful stormy weather. I always find weddings in general hard to buy for, as you want to be comfortable, smart, but your outfit can’t really be too over powering, which is why this gorgeous floral fit-and-flare dress from Karen Millen is perfect. I love the intricate detail around the neckline, as well as the sheer cap sleeves and the pleated skirt is so flattering.

I was torn between this and another dress, but after seeing Diane Kruger rocking Erdem winter florals I just had to give the look a go, OK granted it isn’t the same print, or even the same colour, but the trend is still the same and I love how the yellows and pinks really stand out on this dress.

With an all-over print I played down my accessories opting for a black clutch and my black Asos shoes, which I call my disco shoes as not only can I dance in them all night long but the heel sparkles like a disco ball. I just added a touch of colour to my bracelets and my nails to complement my dress.

Have you tried the winter floral look?
