Elle Style Awards: Diane Kruger In Chanel Couture

So I thought the Vanity Fair red carpet would be my last celeb posting for a while, well that was until I saw Diane Kruger in this gorgeous, frothy Chanel Couture look at the Elle Style Awards. I am a sucker for Diane’s red carpet style, pink, cute, and lacy Chanel.

This Chanel Couture lace gown from the spring 2015 collection is so Diane, it is fun, edgy and so oozing with Parisian style that it is such a statement piece that not many people could pull off this look. I adore everything from the colour, it really is a delicate pale pink, as well as all the embroidery added to the bodice and skirt.

For me this look is simply enchanting and I love it. Also can you believe that this was literally a day after she hit the red carpet in Los Angeles for the Vanity Fair Oscar party – how does she look so good.

I also love that she styled the dress with silver accessories, her point-toe heels are chic, I adore her Edie Parker zig-zag clutch, plus I wish I could afford her Jaeger-LeCoultre Joaillerie 101 Art Deco watch.

This look for me is a modern-day princess and Diane pulls it off perfectly.

Wedding Inspiration: How About Rita Ora’s Marchesa Gown

I am on the hunt at the moment for my wedding gown – I have been scouring wedding magazines, Brides.com’s extensive bridal galleries, and ever real wedding blog I can find to get inspiration on what would work on my big day. It was only earlier this week after seeing Rita Ora hit the red carpet at the ELLE Style Awards that I realised that you can take a lot from the red carpet gowns that your favourite celebrities wear.

This show-stopping white floor-length gown from Marchesa’s autumn/winter 2014 collection is gorgeous with its intricate embroidered body and its layered tulle skirt that it feels like it would be better suited to walking down the aisle than a red carpet.

As always Rita looks gorgeous and wears it well but I think this gown is more bridal than award ceremony that I thought it might inspire other future brides-to-be out there that you don’t have to look in the traditional places to find wedding dress inspiration.

Think about your shape, the silhouette you are after, and then find your favourite celebrities working the same looks – this could be great inspiration to share with your local wedding boutique when you are trying on gowns.

What do you think – would you wear a gown like this Marchesa to your wedding?

ELLE Style Awards: Emma Watson In Giambattista Valli

Who: actress Emma Watson

Where: At the ELLE Style Awards 2014 held at One Embankment in London

Wearing: A monochrome Giambattista Valli couture mini dress from the spring/summer 2014 collection, teamed with black pointy Christian Louboutin heels and red lippy

Verdict: I love Emma’s fresh take on red carpet fashion, you can never really predict what she will wear, and I always seem to love her fashion-forward choices. This mini Giambattista Valli is daring, stunning and has a modern glamour about it – I love the contrasting texture of the sequinned bodice with the waist band and the architectural bow skirt.

It is cute, fun and perfect for a young actress like herself and I am so pleased she didn’t over style the look – that skirt doesn’t need anything else to make this outfit shine.

Emma was most certainly my best dressed at this year’s ELLE Style Awards – I love everything about this look.

Are you a fan of Emma’s red carpet style?

ELLE Style Awards: Rosie Angelic In Antonio Berardi

Who: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Where: At the ELLE Style Awards 2012 held at The Savoy, London

Wearing: A sheer Antonio Berardi dress with cape detail from the spring/summer 2012 collection, teamed with nude sandals

Verdict: After the disappointment of the BAFTAs I was thrilled at the fashions at the ELLE awards and my best dressed had to be Rosie in this angelic-meets-gladiator vibe dress. I love the sheer and silver-embroidered detailing of this dress – it really does look amazing against her complexion, but for me this dress is made exquisite with the addition of the cape – very ethereal – I LOVE IT!!!

I really don’t think Rosie can do anything wrong, I love her casual looks and her red carpet style just blows me away. It seems everyone at ELLE agrees as Rosie picked up the well deserved Style Icon award.

Who: British actress Emma Watson

Where: At the Elle Style Awards in London

Wearing: A sleeveless silver Hakaan skater dress with cut-out detailing to the sides from the spring/summer 2011 collection, paired with nude Christian Louboutin heels

Verdict: What a contrast from last night’s floaty Valentino from last night’s BAFTAs, this is a sexy little number which works perfectly with her pixie crop. I love this on her, it is nice to see Emma going sexy rather than elegant, young and flirty gets my vote every time. Gorgeous!!

ELLE Style Awards: Cheryl Cole Sizzles in Mcqueen

Who: Pop star Cheryl Cole

Where: At the Elle Style Awards in London

Wearing: A red floor-skimming Alexander McQueen gown from the pre-spring/summer 2011 collection, paired with a lace clutch and finished off nicely with matching red lippy and big hair of course

Verdict: I love this dress, the colour, the plunging neckline, generally everything about this minimalist look gets my vote. Of course it wouldn’t be Chezza without bold lips and big hair, but that is what makes her great. I can imagine this picture hitting the tabloids tomorrow – Cheryl looks absolutely gorgeous.
