I adore Paris Haute Couture week it not only brings out the most starry front rows but the fashion on display is always so exquisite and as always Elie Saab didn’t disappoint with his showstopping autumn/winter 2014 ‘Palais Des Lumieres’ collection.
I might have my two wedding dress sorted, which I love and can’t wait to wear, but there is still a part of me that would love to be an Elie Saab bride. To wear a beautifully crafted, dramatic gown is the thing of dreams and the finale gown to the AW14 show was a magnificent, divine and beautiful gown. I am not normally a lover of pearlescent white, but this dramatic and regal gown really does demand that it is the brightest of them all and I love it.
Elie Saab always produces delicate masterpieces that are exquisitely embroidered, they shimmer in the light, and each one of these gowns would make for a spectacular wedding. I love the sheer elements to some of the gowns, which of course I am sure you can get lined, I really adore the champagne gold hue it would make for a great alternative to white and ivory, and I love, love, love the short and flirty lace number, wouldn’t that just be perfect for an elopement wedding.
I have to be honest I loved everything about the AW14 collection and I can’t wait to see the gorgeous gowns grace the red carpet, but these 10 beauties definitely deserve a walk down the aisle.

Who: Diane Kruger
Where: At the 4th annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards in California
Wearing: A floral print silk chiffon strapless Elie Saab gown, embroidered with sequins and featuring a structured bodice from the Haute Couture spring/summer 2014 collection, teamed with a gold clutch
Verdict: Dark and romantic all at the same time, I love this cinched-in floral Elie Saab dress, it really does exude drama and elegance and is perfect for an award ceremony.
What I love about this look on Diane are the dramatic lines of the silhouette, from the structured straight-across neckline, to the pleated skirt, and the exaggerated hip detail that really does make Diane’s tiny waist look even tinier.
I am not sure many people could have pulled off this silhouette, but Diane really does look gorgeous, and I love that once again she pulled off a fashion risk.

Who: Actress Elle Fanning
Where: At the World Premiere of Disney’s “Maleficent“, held at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California
Wearing: An off-the-shoulder ice-blue Elie Saab fully embroidered tulle A-line gown with a matching belt from the designer’s spring/summer 2014 Haute Couture collection, teamed with the matching belt, a choker and bracelets
Verdict: I love how both Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning have been inspired by their Maleficent characters during this promo tour and this is another perfect example of a modern princess gown by Elie Saab. Everything from the colour, that ice-blue is gorgeous, to the off-shoulder design and the semi-sheer skirt is just perfection, romantic and elegant.
Elle really does embrace the girlie side of the red carpet, which I adore, and this gown is just exquisite – the detailing in the embroidery is amazing on the close-up piccie, and I really do love this princess A-line silhouette on her, it makes her already tiny waist look even smaller.
Sadly though this isn’t a complete home run for Elle, I do love everything about this look except for that choker, which doesn’t seem to match the modern youthful look of the outfit.

Who: Elizabeth Olsen
Where: At the London premiere of ‘Godzilla’ held at Odeon Leicester Square in London
Wearing: A strapless midnight blue embellished Elie Saab gown from the Haute Couture autumn/winter 2013 collection, featuring a sheer lace skirt and a matching skinny belt, finished off with navy strappy heels and silver drop Piaget earrings
Verdict: My midnight blue love affair isn’t going anywhere fast, I love this hue as a great alternative to black and it really looks great on the red carpet. As always with Elie Saab this gown is romantic, elegant with a touch of sexy, I love the fully embellished bodice paired with a sheer lace skirt, it makes it modern and youthful.
It was the perfect gown for a red carpet event, not only did it swish nicely but with all the embellished detailing it was sure to twinkle with the flash bulbs. I am glad that because of the detailing in the dress that she kept her styling to a minimum, opting for same-colour skinny belt to nip the dress in at the waist, simply two-strap heels and a silver jewels.

When I think of Elie Saab, I think gorgeous gowns, exquisite detailing, and one of my favourite red carpet designers, one think I don’t think about is that they do handbags, and it seems like I have been missing out.
I have really been embracing smaller handbags lately, from my bright yellow Rebecca Minkoff to my dinky Anya Hindmarch Tiny Tim, and I am always on the look out for another little beauty to add to my collection and I just spotted this gorgeous satchel style from Elie Saab with its chain shoulder strap. Everything about this mini bag screams classic elegance and when looking for a new designer bag I want something that will look modern past the current season, it is an investment after all.
These leather satchels designed with a floral palette tone for spring/summer 2014 are gorgeous, I love that even though there are only six styles each one is in a striking classic colourway from emerald-green to jasmine white. If I had to pick a favourite I think it would have to be deep raspberry, not only is the colour pure Barbie perfection but the piping detailing really adds a modern touch to a classic style.
Which colour would you go for?
