Reinvent Yourself: Diane Kruger For Jaeger-LeCoultre

Where: At the launch of her short film, Reinvent Yourself with Jaeger-LeCoultre in New York

Wearing: A black fitted Alessandra Rich crepe gown with dramatic fringe detailing to the side, teamed with a skinny white belt, white Christian Louboutin heels, a checked clutch, chunky bracelets and of course a dainty Jaeger-LeCoultre watch

Verdict: Only Diane could get away with wearing this fringed beauty during the day and what a beauty it is, I love how she has styled it with white accessories making it so on trend, as monochrome styles are everywhere.

What I love most about this look has to be how immaculate she looks – her body looks incredible in the fitted dress, her belt shows off her tiny waist, and her natural, barely there make-up and sleek hair is just the topping on the cake really. I know that I gush a lot about Diane, but come on this is why, she is stunning.

So why was Diane sporting a gorgeous fringed dress during the day in New York? I would like to answer that why not, but actually the actress was launching the new short film she stars in for Jaeger-LeCoultre called ‘Reinvent Yourself’.

The beautiful film, directed by Fabienne Berthaud and set to the Shirley Bassey ‘(Where Do I Begin) Love Story’ song, basically pays tribute to the her unique personality and successful career – following her from a young ballerina to a successful fashion model and now an actress.

Watch the film below – it really captures Diane’s beauty perfectly, and she even cries pretty!!!

Cover Loving: Diane Kruger For S Moda

My girl crush Diane Kruger has been on a role lately, numerous magazine covers, great reviews for her latest flick and more importantly a stylish promo tour, and then this week she was announced as the new face of the up-coming Chanel skincare advertising campaign – so when I saw this incredible cover and editorial from the April issue of Spanish magazine, S Moda, I just had to share – OMG – wow!!!

Wearing a stripy sequinned Marc Jacobs jumpsuit, this is one gorgeous cover shot by David Roemer – I love everything from the pose, the position of her legs is a little awkward but I like that, to the incredible monochrome jumpsuit styled perfectly by Christopher Campbell, and then I zoned in on her face and I was completely blown away – I love the dramatic eye make-up and her wild hair. Simply beautiful.

The rest of the editorial is just as strong, so strong that I think these might be up there with some of my favourite shots of Diane, and it is all down to the styling – very edgy and so, so sexy. I love the sporty Theyskens’ Theory dress, the monochrome magic of the Lanvin ensemble where she is wearing a body and a skirt, which I am sure is a little reminiscent to the one that Jennifer Lawrence wore, and the embellished trench is divine, but my favourite has to be the all-black Salvatore Ferragamo look teamed with over-the-knee boots and chunky necklaces.

Cover Loving: Three Very Different Diane Kruger Covers

I do love it when Diane Kruger has a movie coming out – not only do I get to see some fab red carpet looks, **check out her Los Angeles premiere look** but finally there is a reason for magazines to put my favourite girl crush on their covers.

For April, Diane has really got around, gracing the cover of not one, but three different magazines, on three different continents – her reach is most certainly global. First up we have Canadian fashion mag, Flare, with Diane looking adorable in a Bottega Veneta dress, then we have a polished flawless looking Diane for Interview Germany, and then sadly we have a bizarre barley recognisable Diane on the cover of Australia magazine, Madison – what have they done to her face and hair?

Shot by Autumn De Wilde, the Flare cover is just so pretty, I am in love with her Bottega Veneta vintage-inspired tea dress from the spring/summer 2013 collection, which has been styled perfectly with those tri-colour Christian Louboutin heels and the insanely cute Louis Vuitton headband, you may recognise it from one of Kerry Washington’s fab red carpet looks earlier in the year, and of course Diane is carrying a Chanel handbag to finish her look.

The only thing I really don’t like from this cover is the insanely huge cover line ‘hello spring’ right across her – really is that going to sell the magazine more than if it wasn’t there???

The rest of the editorial is just as good, you see Diane wearing Miu Miu, Rochas, Marc Jacobs and more Chanel, as well as posing with a cute kitty.

I love the vintage-inspired Flare cover, but I completely adore the Markus Jans shot Interview cover, Diane does flawless so well and this just beautiful. Striped back and polished, this is one hell of a profile cover, I love everything from her eyes to her barely there make-up, and even the position of her hands – this really does show off her modelling background. I really can’t wait to see the rest of the editorial.

However, Australia magazine, Madison didn’t quite impress me like the other two titles. From the neck down this cover is divine, I love the pale blue dress, I even love the flirty touch of her hitching up the skirt, but I just can’t understand why they made her look a little crazy. That hair, the make-up, the appalling OTT photoshop to her face – it really doesn’t look like Diane or even pretty. Why, Madison, why???

The Host: Diane Kruger In Thakoon & Jimmy Choo

Who: Diane Kruger

Where: At the LA premiere of her new movie ‘The Host’, held at the ArcLight Cinemas Cinerama Dome in Hollywood

Wearing: A black Thakoon dress featuring sheer panels down the side and accented with floral appliqués and a dandelion print from the autumn/winter 2013 collection, teamed with metallic mirror leather two-tone strappy Jimmy Choo ‘Malika’ booties, and Stephen Webster jewellery

Verdict: Wow, wow, wow – what a sexy look – I seriously love it!!! Not only is it sexy, with just the right amount of side boob, I love the flirtiness of the skirt the way it flares out and shows off a little bit of leg with the sheer panel, as well as the exquisitely detailing with the floral appliqués – this is just one gorgeous dress.

Not content with just a great dress, Diane then pairs her fab look with the incredible sci-fi mirrored leather Jimmy Choo booties – OMG – wow. These are so cool and edgy they really make the look fashion-forward as well as sexy. But come on I don’t think anyone other than Diane could really pull off these beauties.

I am so pleased that Diane has a new film to promote – I can’t wait to see more red carpet looks as she takes the film on tour.

Vanity Fair Oscar Party: Diane Kruger In Giambattista Valli

Who: Diane Kruger

Where: At the 2013 Vanity Fair Oscars party, held at the Sunset Tower in Hollywood

Wearing: A black and white embroidered Giambattista Valli cape dress from the spring/summer 2013 haute couture collection, teamed with Christian Louboutin heels, a Roger Vivier Boite de Nuit gold and black metal clutch, and Fabergé jewellery

Verdict: I have missed Diane Kruger this award season as she always brings something new and different to the red carpet, and this is another incredible fashion-forward choice from one of her favourite couture designers, Giambattista Valli.

I don’t think many people could pull off this long-sleeved caped design but Diane seems to do it with ease, which is probably why I love it so much.

As well as loving the print, bold like Nina Dobrev’s, I love that it isn’t floor length like nearly everyone else, it makes her and this couture design stand out.

I think this another great look from Diane – do you agree?

Girl Crush: Diane Kruger In Stella McCartney

Who: Diane Kruger aka my girl crush

Where: At the photo call for her new film, ‘Der Naechste, Bitte!’ in Berlin, Germany

Wearing: A black daisy wool-twill Stella McCartney waistcoat paired with Stella McCartney ‘Christine’ black and white floral-print silk tapered pants from the spring/summer 2013 collection, teamed with black pointy heels and a white watch

Verdict: Finally some Diane Kruger style action, not a red carpet look but I will take what I can get it. As always she looks gorgeous and effortlessly stylish all at the same time, not fair right, but I have to give it to her I love her take on the current monochrome trend – floral print teamed with black and white accessories – so chic.

These trousers are divine and even make me want a pair of floral pants, now if only I had Diane’s figure, I just love the loose tailored fit to the pants, which is balanced nicely with the sharp tailored vest. Such a great look.

Shop Her Style: Both Stella McCartney pieces are on Net-a-Porter and if you want to recreate Diane’s look you will need £870. The Christine floral pants, which I love are £535 and the chic snooker-style waistcoat minus the sponsor badges will set you back £335.

Miss Golden Globe 2013: Diane Kruger In Rochas

Who: Diane Kruger

Where: A the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and InStyle Miss Golden Globe 2013 Party held at Cecconi’s Restaurant in LA

Wearing: A Rochas spring/summer 2013 ensemble featuring a button-up crop top teamed with a high-waisted circle skirt with pockets and a skinny white leather belt, which was paired with black and white Chanel bow-detailed ankle boots and a Chanel mirrored clutch

Verdict: What a look from Diane, I love that she made belly-baring look formal in this retro ’50s style outfit.

What works for me, well other than everything, has to be that she didn’t go with a classic red carpet gown, I love that she is working something different and hey she is probably the only one able to get away with a midriff revealing two-piece to a swanky bash in winter!!!
