AW12: Primark’s Homage To Pringle Of Scotland

Yesterday, I popped by Primark’s autumn/winter 2012 press day at The Gallery underneath Wolf & Badger’s new store on Dover Street, and was blown away by the gorgeous jumpers, cute dresses, and the abundance of embellished collars, yes they aren’t going anywhere for a while.

The highlight, and the first thing that I spotted as I walked in was a near replica of one of my favourite wearable looks from London Fashion Week, do you remember how much I gushed about the pink v-neck jumper at the Pringle of Scotland? Well, Primark have answered my prays and delivered me an amazing designer copy, that will only set me back £12, yep that’s right just over a tenner for this beauty. We have a few months to wait, it doesn’t drop in store until September, but don’t worry you won’t miss out I have already added it into my Filofax!!!

The rest of the AW12 collection has influences from Miu Miu, House of Holland, Markus Lupfer, Gucci, and Marios Schwab to name but a few, as you would expect a lot of variety: elegant cigarette trousers, chic boucle jackets, sheer shirts, ski knits, gorgeous statement necklaces, peplum tops, and lots of embellished collars.

What are you thoughts on Primark’s autumn/winter 2012 collection?

Designer Copy: Richard Nicoll vs AX Paris

I haven’t done a designer copy in a while, but as soon as I saw these Pleated Chiffon Trousers at AX Paris they instantly reminded me of the ones Richard Nicoll sent down the runway for his spring/summer 2011 show.

Other than the shade of coral I think that these are near carbon copy, the major different being on the two floaty trousers is most certainly the cost. I am sure that these Richard Nicoll’s beauties aren’t anywhere close to the AX Paris price of £20 *in the sale*. Such a bargain!!

Not a fan of the coral? Well the AX Paris trousers also come in black for £30.

Designer Copy: Dune vs Lanvin Pom Poms

I have been searching for a pair of pom pom flats since I saw Rachel Bilson wearing the gorgeous Lanvin Pom Pom sandals, well it seems Dune has answered my wishes.

For only £55, Dune has these flower pom pom flats in two colours black or my favourite pink, I just love the  raffia rope footbed. Just think how cute these will be with a maxi dress, denim shorts or even a little black dress, also they look super comfie.

If you are still interested in the designer version then head on over to Mytheresa.com, as they were the only place I could find them still in stock. Priced £239, yes they are actually in the sale, I do love the two-tone pom pom in orange and pink. I have to admit the Dune ones are a great copy, but I would love to own these.

Which ones do you prefer?

Designer Copy: Dorothy Perkins vs Stella McCartney

Dorothy Perkins vs Stella McCartney SS11

This is fast becoming one of my favourite features as I love catwalk looks, and I love high street prices even more.

I adored Stella McCartney’s spring/summer 2011 collection with its sleek tailoring, its palette of faded pastels, but most of all the citrus prints shifts.

So you can imagine how excited I was to see this orange and lemon print dress in Dorothy Perkins. This white short sleeve dress is perfect for the summer spell we are having at the moment; the ruched waist is super flattering and the citrus print is so cute and fun. Oh, did I mention it is only £25, yep bargain – snap it up quick!!!
