Bag Lust: The Loewe Flamenco Handbag

It seems I am not the only one who loves a Loewe bag, celebrities including Claudia Schiffer, Jessica Alba and Daisy Lowe, have been spotted carrying the bright and funky Flamenco handbags.

This Nappa leather bag is a reissue of the 80s classic and I just love how it stands out from the crowd with its rainbow pop colours. I love the extra-large tassels, the strap that allows it to be worn as a shoulder bag or cross-body, plus the fact that it comes it two sizes, the large one is perfect for all my daily needs.

It does however seem to be the celebrity ‘it’ bag of the moment though, even Aussie pop star Kylie was seen carrying the Candy coloured one in London recently, the same one that Daisy Lowe has. I love the dual-tone of this bag – as soon as I saw it I was thinking that Barbie and Mattel need to hook up with Loewe as they would make a great accessories pack for my favourite doll!!

I think my favourite is the yellow one, yep I am following the lead of Claudia Schiffer, Ashley Greene and Emily Blunt, who all have this stunning bag.

There is one catch though this beauty is over 1,000 Euros, to be exact the Flamenco 22 is 1,200 Euros and the Flamenco 30 is 1,400 Euros. I’ve already added it to my wishful thinking Christmas list to Santa!!!

So, which is your favourite?

In Pictures: Pearl Lowe for Peacocks – Spring 2011

Pearl Lowe is bringing the glamour of the 40’s and 70’s with her latest vintage-inspired label for Peacocks. Once again, the amazing pictures are modelled by her gorgeous daughter Daisy Lowe, and this is seriously a great teaser for the collection, which goes on sale exclusively via Peacock’s website and in its flagship stores *I have no idea where those are!* from March 31.

I have to admit that this is one of my favourite celebrity collections on the high street. I get that it is vintage-inspired, nothing new in design terms, but I love Pearl’s style and I think she really has translated that well with this on-going collaboration for Peacocks.

I really can’t wait to attend the retailer’s press day next month, and also that dotty number has to be mine!!

British Fashion Awards: Daisy Lowe is a Gothic Beauty

Who: Model Daisy Lowe

Where: At the British Fashion Awards at The Savoy in London

Wearing: A black lace and sequinned Elie Saab gown with capsleeves from the autumn/winter 2010 collection

Verdict: Wow, this dress totally blew me away, it is exquisite and looks amazing on her. I don’t think many people could pull off this dress quite like Daisy, she has such a natural beauty that carries this dress with all its detailing do well.

When I saw the guest list of who was going to the British Fashion Awards, I have to admit I didn’t think that Daisy Lowe would be one of my best dressed of the night – but with this dress she most certainly is.

LFW SS11: BodyAmr Gives Us Powerful Women

London-based fashion label BodyAmr designed by Amr Ali showcased its spring/summer 2011 collection yesterday to one of the best shows I have seen. With a star-packed front row with Lily Allen, Nick Grimshaw, Keisha Buchanan, Gizzi Erskinen and Amanda Byram squeezed into the intimate Freemasons Hall to see the seductive collection inspired by powerful women of times gone by.

The shownotes said think Josephine Baker, the American dancer and singer, in the 1920s mixed with the powerful full-female form of the 90’s supermodel – and it was certainly that, and nice to see the real sized girls modelling the gorgeous collection.

Opened by non other that Daisy Lowe (top image) *who looked fabulous*, there was a lot to this show with body-con minis with cutout detailing to the shoulders, short playsuits with maxi sheer overlays, jewelled waist bands, draped sleeves, long white grecian goddess gowns, wide legged trousers and gorgeous prints inspired by the deco jewels of the time.

There was a great colour palette to the ‘Desideratum – Wanted, Desired, Neccessary’ collection using blush, cream, teal, cobalt blue, grey and whites; with clothes sent down the catwalk in silk jersey and chiffon with sequins and sheer detailing.

Overall this collection didn’t just have one stand-out piece, it was a series of gorgeous options, but I must admit the print section of dresses was my favourite – and the below image was striking, I think the model helped as she walked with such attitude that this collection needs.

With Daisy Lowe opening the show what could top it? Well lets just say seeing Amber Rose strutted her stuff to ‘Push It’, it was amazing. The energy for this show was the best and seeing Amber really pumped up the crowd.

I think you will see a lot more of this collection on the red carpet, already BodyAmr dress a lot of popstars for their music videos and performances including Kylie, Florence Welch, Cheryl Cole and Beyonce – but I really believe that those gorgeous grecian gowns need the glitzy of a film premiere to do them justice.

Miu Miu Inspired: Loving All The Swallows

Ever since I saw Miu Miu showcase their collection covered in swallows and cats I have been hooked. I am sure why but I can’t help but want to put a birdie print to my wardrobe. Check out Daisy Lowe above at the Elle Style Awards earlier this year – this navy blue swallow print shrug is amazing.

So I haven’t quite got deep enough pockets to splash out on Miu Miu like the items below, I love the necklace and the clogs – so cute. Luckily though there are a lot of inspired pieces out there.

My favourite piece, perfect for the summer *my pick and ordered for my birthday dress* or even a wedding – is this Dandy Voile Ruffle dress from French Connection, £75. Team this frock with coloured accessories and you’ve got a great statement outfit.

There are plenty of looks inspired by Miu Miu’s runway collection. Go for a printed top or dress like above – or fancy just dipping into the trend why no wear a swallow necklace. I love this Oliver Bonas one.

Come across any Miu Miu inspired pieces that you love? Let me know.
