Cover Loving: Carey Mulligan Is Pretty In Pink For Harper’s Bazaar

If you were a little disappointed with Carey Mulligan’s American Vogue cover, and according to my Twitter you were, well I am sure that the June issue of Harper’s Bazaar will more than make up for it.

Shot by Tom Allen, these covers not only showcase Carey’s beauty, but also a touch of her personality, especially the subscriber cover with her laughing, which I am so pleased to see as her other editorials have been so serious.

As well as adoring the blossom background and her subtly but girlie make-up, I am in love with her gorgeous pink Prada coat the floral embellishments are to-die-for!!!

I have to be honest I am not sure when I last picked up a copy of Harper’s Bazaar, much less when I added one to my growing magazine collection **I’m limited to keeping just the very best**, but I can’t wait to pick up this beauty on May 2 as I’m excited to see the accompanying ethereal fashion shoot featuring Erdem and Bottega Veneta.

Do you like Carey’s latest cover? Will you be buying the June issue of Harper’s Bazaar?

Cover Loving: Diane Kruger For S Moda

SModa april Diane Kruger 1 Cover Loving: Diane Kruger For S Moda %tag

My girl crush Diane Kruger has been on a role lately, numerous magazine covers, great reviews for her latest flick and more importantly a stylish promo tour, and then this week she was announced as the new face of the up-coming Chanel skincare advertising campaign – so when I saw this incredible cover and editorial from the April issue of Spanish magazine, S Moda, I just had to share – OMG – wow!!!

SModa april Diane Kruger 8 Cover Loving: Diane Kruger For S Moda %tagWearing a stripy sequinned Marc Jacobs jumpsuit, this is one gorgeous cover shot by David Roemer – I love everything from the pose, the position of her legs is a little awkward but I like that, to the incredible monochrome jumpsuit styled perfectly by Christopher Campbell, and then I zoned in on her face and I was completely blown away – I love the dramatic eye make-up and her wild hair. Simply beautiful.

The rest of the editorial is just as strong, so strong that I think these might be up there with some of my favourite shots of Diane, and it is all down to the styling – very edgy and so, so sexy. I love the sporty Theyskens’ Theory dress, the monochrome magic of the Lanvin ensemble where she is wearing a body and a skirt, which I am sure is a little reminiscent to the one that Jennifer Lawrence wore, and the embellished trench is divine, but my favourite has to be the all-black Salvatore Ferragamo look teamed with over-the-knee boots and chunky necklaces.

What do you think of Diane’s latest magazine shoot? Do you like the styling?

Also let me know below in the comments if you are a fan of her becoming a face for Chanel Skincare.

December Covers: The Many Faces Of Kate Moss

Kate moss covers December Covers: The Many Faces Of Kate Moss %tag

With December marking Kate Moss’ 25th anniversary as a model it is no surprise that magazines around the globe wanted her as their end of 2012 cover star – what did surprise me was how very different each cover made her look.

There is a blonde Kate shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot for Vanity Fair, a veiled Kate for Vogue Espana captured by Mario Testino, and then there is a vibrant Kate on the cover for Elle Japan snapped by Sonia Sieff who certainly doesn’t look 38 years-old.

Each cover is so very different, but each cover is equally as divine, and what I love is that Kate really is showcasing her model pedigree with these covers and accompanying editorials.

I was trying to decide which one was my favourite, I keep fluttering between the Vanity Fair and Vogue Espana covers, I adore Kate’s blonde blunt fringe on the VF cover but there is something mysterious and alluring about her close-up cover shot beautifully by Testino.

So which cover gets your vote?

Cover Loving: Leighton Meester’s Raunchy Editorial For Flaunt Magazine

Flaunt leighton Cover Loving: Leighton Meesters Raunchy Editorial For Flaunt Magazine %tag

Gossip Girls is finally over and Leighton Meester is getting rid of her Blair Waldorf image with a very provocative editorial for Flaunt Magazine as the cover star for its The Mother Issue: Blow Your Load.

Shot by Yu Tsai, this photoshoot reminds me of something Helmut Newton would do, and I absolutely love Leighton looking like a high-end model with her jet black bob, it is like she went under a Tara makeover *sorry I am obsessed with America’s Next Top Model*.

I like the sexy styling, Robert Behar has done an amazing job, I completely adore the one-sleeved asymmetrical bustier Anthony Vaccarello gown on the cover, it works perfectly sandwiched between two naked models wearing Christian Louboutin brogues.

The rest of the editorial is just as strong with Leighton working a shaggy Mulberry coat, a striking yellow Versace dress, a gorgeous Pucci gown, and uber-sexy heels by Christian Louboutin and Brian Atwood – this is one steamy editorial.

So what do you think of Queen B’s raunchy editorial and do you like her Rose Byrne-inspired bob? Plus anyone else a little distracted by the very naked arse on the cover?

Cover Loving: Cameron Diaz For ELLE UK

ELLE Dec Cameron subs Cover Loving: Cameron Diaz For ELLE UK %tag

I love it when a great cover drops through the letterbox and they don’t get much better than ELLE’s December cover featuring the gorgeous Cameron Diaz. The 40-year-old actress looks gorgeous on the subscriber cover, as well as being a vision in pink in this Christian Dior jacket and silk-tulle skirt, I love how adorable she looks.

Out promoting her new film Gambit, I love how David Slijper has captured her beauty rather than her sexuality, which is normally what is on show with Cameron’s covers.

When I tweeted a picture earlier of the cover some people commented that she looks a little scared, hey that is what I like about this image, I have to say I think it kind of rivals Gwen Stefani’s pink cover for Harper’s Bazaar US for one of my favourites of the year.

ELLE Dec Cameron Cover Loving: Cameron Diaz For ELLE UK %tagOn Sale on November 7, the newsstand cover is just as stunning with Cameron wearing a Chanel Resort dress, I just love the embroidery on the shoulders and the waist. I am not however totally on board with her pose though.

You might be thinking that this Chanel dress looks a little familiar, well that is because you might remember that Emma Stone wore it to the LA premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man.

Both covers are great, but so too is the accompanying editorial, with Cameron wearing a gorgeous pink and blue silk and lace dress by Erdem, a green lace Valentino gown, a beaded Gucci number, and a floral printed Roksanda Ilincic jumpsuit that I think only Cameron could pull off!!!

So what do you think of Cameron’s girlie pink subscriber cover? Does it work better than the newsstand cover?

Elle France: Victoria Beckham Gets Her Pins Out

VBElleFrance1 Elle France: Victoria Beckham Gets Her Pins Out %tag

French magazines are showing the world how it is done lately, I loved Diane Kruger for the French Marie Claire, Eva Mendes looked stunning on the cover of Glamour Paris, and now Victoria Beckham has revealed exclusive piccies of her Elle France shoot alongside Karl Lagerfeld.

If getting her pins out wasn’t enough, doesn’t she look hot, her cover shoot was also snapped by the one-the-only Karl Lagerfeld, plus it was all done at the home of Coco Chanel, seriously I would die to be on that staircase at 31 Rue Cambon.

Victoria looks stunning in the both shots, I adore her Lanvin black jumper teamed with Chanel jewellery, very Parisian, and the second shot shows off her own glasses line, which I so need – very geek chic!!!

VBElleFrance2 Elle France: Victoria Beckham Gets Her Pins Out %tag

Tweeting the piccies, Victoria said that the shoot with Karl was “a dream come true!” and I can’t wait to see the cover if these snaps are anything to go by as it is surely going to be amazing.

The former Spice Girl also receives high praise from Chanel creative director in ELLE France, which hits newsstands Friday, who said: ”Victoria has an innate sense of style. She knows what she likes, and knows what is good for her.”

What do you think of the two shots released? I am already heading out the door to the gym to get legs like hers!!!

So here it is, Victoria Beckham’s ELLE France cover shot by Karl Lagerfeld – anyone else not as wowed as they thought they would be after seeing the first two shots from the accompanying editorial??? Don’t get me wrong I like it, I just don’t love it. Maybe it is because I have seen Victoria in this Victoria Beckham dress before, I want to say in a couple of colours, she looks great, the dress looks amazing, and I even don’t dislike her arms being crossed – I am just not blown away.
